In my MO town, the major hospital requires a COURT ORDER to "allow" you to decline Vit K without getting Children's division involved. Can you think of anything MORE abusive than calling DFS on a new mom because she declined an unnecessary injection? I'm struggling to come up with one. Also, often injections are given despite a verbal decline from mother or parent. Glad you didn't get pushback. It's not like that for everyone, sadly.
