Stephen King is someone whose work I usually appreciate but whose public statements I usually ignore. I haven't read any of his new material in probably 20 years. Not intentionally, my interests just wandered elsewhere.

It's a shame that TS Eliot's parents did not name him Stearns Thomas Eliot. Then his name would have been ST Eliot. Toilets backwards.
Nabokov didn't say exactly that, but he did point out how close "toilets" was to "tseliot" spelled backwards. Needless to say, Nabokov was not a fan.
