it's a known issue and it seems to be being exploited for political purposes.
Yes, one of the nurses from America's Frontline Nurses said the same thing. And she also mentioned that they will not give full credit for being "vaccinated" unless you have received the booster. So, whereas UK will delineate between one shot, two shots, boosted, etc... USA is binary - vaxxed (boosted) or un-vaxxed (any permutation of not-boosted).
oh wow, thanks for explaining that. I keep telling people to look at the ages of the hospitalized/deaths as it is a very close proxy for vax status...but a lot of places really hide that age data. I wonder why.....

The end result is that vaccinators can claim that "without vaccines it would have been much worse" and everybody else can find something in the data that supports their point of view.
Yup, CT is reporting 52% of the hospitalized for covid are unvaccinated. It's not even possible because there are so few unvaccinated even left in this state. Shameful mishandling of data- on purpose. We ought to name and shame those folks too.
Vermont keeps claiming it's the unvaxxed in the hospital/dying, but the over 70 age group is like 100% vacinated....so....? Visitors from Mississippi?
