I’m so sorry. It’s so awful. I had a big Christmas party with an elf band and Santa on Saturday night and half the people were puking the following evening (including my kids and me- my hubby managed to escape it until last night). It’s nasty!!! I hope you’re feeling better. I’m laying here in bed with my kids still not feeling the best.
Sorry back at you. Mine lasted the requisite 2 days, then was just weakness for the 3rd day. By the fourth I wanted to eat and by the fifth I had red chile and beans. Yay. Doing OK. I think people pay for this. It's like a purge. If I don't overdo, my stomach and gut feel better than before the norovirus.
I read that the virus can live on surfaces for up to 2 weeks. I think I better change my sheets etc. I did change my pillow cases, but..... My caregiver is sick so it's an effort for me to change my fitted sheets, etc. Onward and upward.
Such a bummer! I got it Christmas Eve so basically couldn’t celebrate. Didn’t know what it was and guessed food poisoning as I didn’t know anyone else who had it. Then the Friday morning after Christmas our eldest got it and that night my husband got it. Totally ruined the holiday week. Randomly, the youngest never got sick. Very weird virus. Oh well, it’s over now and I am catching up on substack which is always enjoyable. Happy New Year!
It hasn't been my best Christmas. Projectile vomiting started Friday night and continued thru' Sat. I had norovirus though I didn't know that's what it was. I gave it to my caregiver and a friend of mine. Kind of messed up planned Christmas celebrations. I got to go to my concert on Sunday and a little open house on Tues. Too many people sick to pull off the Christmas dinner. Here's a story from Shreveport News about it. https://www.shreveporttimes.com/story/news/2024/12/02/2024-norovirus-outbreak-in-u-s-find-out-more-about-the-virus-here-syptoms-spread-stomach-bug-flu-cdc/7670235200

The gift that keeps on giving.

That’s what I told my husband. This is a great diet!! Haha
Not so sure about "great" but it is a diet of sorts.
Fair:)
Here's a dark thought. Imagine an outbreak on a cruise ship. AI YI YI.

It was, but my gut, as long as I don't abuse it and eat in moderation, actually feels better than before I got norovirus.
That’s good news! It took me a while to get back to equilibrium. 😅
