These are people who love to look in the mirror, but they cannot look themselves in the eye.
This has brought the public to a realization:
If these people cannot be honest with themselves, why should we expect them to be telling us the truth?
A friend describes them as vampires because they're unable to see their own images when they look in the mirror. The analogy seems apt since they do try to suck the life's blood out of everyone who isn't one of them.
"Vampire" works on sooooo many levels... those are good ones.
