It's a bit like those conversations from before the election:

Lefty (hysterically): "Do you want to see politicised justice?!?!?"

Righty (deadpan): "You mean like we have already?"

I mean to say, the left are already losing their minds and this ride has only just left the gate and is slowly crawling up the opening slope towards the fun ride from all nine levels of lefty hell.

There are many conversations like this.

"The economy will tank."

"You mean like the last four years?"

"... when you were enthusiastically cheering on the people tanking it.

What changed?"

Yeah, lots of those.

I note the press (grrr!) waxing lyrical about the hypocrisy of the Republicans playing down the Signal war porn leak when they went loopy over Clinton's email server, but I haven't seen any of them noting how the Democrats played down that incident but are now waxing hysterical over the Signal leak.

Hypocrisy is the game that everyone can play, eh?

There is a vast difference between a largely vanilla chat on signal, and Hillary Clinton's thousands upon thousands of emails that she leaked to specific people in foreign countries from her bathroom server. Not even close

Emphasises the point, don't it?

Both the press and the political left (but I repeat myself) are gaslighting scum. At least I can live relatively peaceably with the right, imperfect as they are.

I'd nuance that. Both examples are wrong. I agree with everything that the cat says, but the point is that Hesgeth and Co were behaving just like HRC and Co: talking about starting yet another pointless war that will involve killing lots of innocent civilians.

It wasn't their decision, and Trump has never been a republican nor a right winger.

Oh well, denying reality doesn't eliminate it.

Hate is easy to sell because it's the most "stable" of emotions.

"The masses have never thirsted after truth. They turn aside from evidence that is not to their taste, preferring to deify error, if error seduce them. Whoever can supply them with illusions is easily their master; whoever attempts to destroy their illusions is always their victim.тАЭ

- Gustave Le Bon

It can even be sold using faux-ebonics:

Crockett is either a hired hand or truly stunningly stupid. Anyone cheering her on is also despicable.

She's not dumb. She thinks her audience, the Dem base, is. And she may be right about that. Girl switches her "blaccent" on and off like a light.

I really don't get her appeal. She went to a private Catholic school, her dad is a Baptist preacher & her mom a postal worker (claim he's a wealthy pastor..) She went to several prestigious law schools, didn't sound ghetto in her campaigning, served as an asst. public defender in small town Bowie, TX, has blocked access to anything about her husband or children- no one knows who they are, after a couple years at Bowie, she formed an ambulance chasing law firm in Big D that also took pro bono cases for BLM.... and now she's worth $9million!! hmmm..

Indeed.

Denying reality pretty much guarantees that, sooner or later, reality is going to kill you.

It's amazing to see that old juxtaposition of psychology, advertising, and mind control continuing to be so pervasive. The basic methods are very crude, but still very effective. I wish we could come up with some way to stop the memetic infection and get people to start actually thinking again.

Hate. LOLOL! These are the same people who have "Hate has no home here" in their yards. I prefer to believe love is the most stable emotion, but that's the Pollyanna coming through... may she always remain!

Love, and humor -- I consider them the two most important aspects of being human. I think we've all noticed a distinct lack of both of those coming from the so-called Leftists lately, too.
