Yeah there is a LOT not adding up. Would have to be insanely lucky for him to do this with zero foresight, no planning, no pre-op, no help.
Could be one of those "little giant" ladders that fold up to about 5 ft.

No, thatтАЩs a ten foot fiberglass stepladder in the picture. The two sides fold together, but there is no way to shorten it. It also weighs over 50 pounds and is very unwieldy. No way he transported it and set it there unnoticed.
