if truth in advertising laws applied to federal agencies
a gato hypothetical
i realize that notions of holding government to a higher standard seem to have gone tragically out of vogue, but what if we could, at the very least, hold them to the sort of truth in advertising laws akin to those demanded of private companies?
i mean, it’ll probably never happen.
but we can hope.
and treating such actors with at least as much circumspection as, say, an MLM marketer of nutraceuticals does seem prudent.
and these policies could be quite educational.
and provide useful predictive warnings on likely behavior.
though, frankly, the department of energy is so far gone at this point that they probably need a full redesign on the logo.
this seems about right:
and let’s face it, A LOT of this stuff could use better warning labels.
we could underpin this project with a public awareness campaign to assist citizens in their civic understanding:
and to plan their responses:
let’s make this the undertaking of our times.
the memeing of life shall become the lifeblood of a more honest republic.
and even should we fail, the look on their faces will be priceless.
