If this is Canada there is absolutely no acceptable reason for this display of force.

I wonder if the police understand that the same people they are pushing around today were the few who supported them in 2020.

'Bout as weird as the same people who say "My body my choice" re abortions yet "Your Body My Choice" re experimental medical procedures/face suffocators... Consistency--the hobgoblin of foolish minds, right?

Is that a pic from Canada? Are the truckers in hot tubs and bouncy castles such a threat we need special forces and tanks?

Yeah, that is not a good look. Plus the truck with the turret? What, do they intend on spraying them with bullets? Your own peaceful people for having the temerity of creating traffic and beeping. Lord.

This is why I really have a problem with all of the “back the blue” stuff. There are good LEO and good military but history has shown us that when it comes time to round us up and load us into the boxcars these people will do just that.

Stanford prison experiment. The Third Wave experiment from the late ‘60’s. These are examples of how easily it is to control and manipulate people. Once engaged they will not stop the cosplay, even if it ends up with people in gulags, bauxite mines or organic gas chambers.

It’s going to happen. And when tyranny arrives it stays. You can’t vote your way out of it. History is quite clear on that point.

Ottawa? The big black vehicle there, an "MRAP," with the revolving turret on top--do I see a sniper rifle in the slot of that turret? Or is it a full-auto machine gun?

Commandos with ballistic helmets, fitted out with radio gear earmuffs--yet, the helmet shrouds are empty of thermal or night vision equipment. (Easily clipped on later.)

Looks like this crew is wearing body amour, probably the Level 4 stuff.

Rifles are either AR15s or full-auto M16s and the mags are topped off with real ammo. Could be "private contractors" hired under this "War Powers Act," not subject to military orders.....

Who gave the order to roll out this lethal cocktail?

Trudeau now AT WAR with Canadians for all to see!

How dare you splash me with that warm water from your hot tub! How dare you*not* burn and loot and murder people in the name of racism and so-called "equality" the way that the "acceptable" people do How dare you let your children have fun and feel free and happy. How dare you clean the streets and feed the hungry. How dare you!! So now we're bringing out the big guns. Heaven help us all.

Currently all of the police know they are acting outside the law. Actual arrests aren't taking place. Some people are being 'detained', cuffed, and brought out in vans to outside the city and dropped off, then taking rideshares back into the city. https://youtu.be/Lrl5ZvZSHIg

Well, this is the thing. You start with demonizing the whole concept of dissent as essential to intellectual discourse. First it's merely impolite and annoying. Before you know it, it's a danger to our actual health! Selfish, selfish people who keep talking about their "freedom!"

I had a funny experience a couple of years ago that may seem irrelevant but I don't think it is, in terms of how even normal, moderate dissent is made to seem crass and disgraceful. I joined a local municipal govt. and pretty innocuous advisory committee, and when it came time for the annual vote on leadership (and there were less than a dozen members), I abstained, because I felt it was merely a pro forma vote and thought the chair and vice chair should at least have each made a presentation of their goals going forward and why they ought to be re-elected. And I made clear I had no personal animus. I just wanted 'em to sing for their supper, so to speak.

I was treated like something a really bad cat had dragged in from the alleyway which was stinking up the parlor. They were deeply, deeply affronted and the city employee liaison to the advisory committee (only paid participant) told me it was "strongly disadvised" to abstain. I did anyway, of course. But my entire service was essentially the peasant rebellion against the gentry.

FYI I'm one of only two members of the general populace who has written, in letters to the editor of our regional newspaper, why the vax is a bad idea and that we decline to get it. In a population of around 15,000 where the paper attracts many, many letters.

There's a reason for the Second Amendment: "Constant apprehension of war, has the same tendency to render the head too large for the body. A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty. The means of defence agst. foreign danger, have been always the instruments of tyranny at home. Among the Romans it was a standing maxim to excite a war, whenever a revolt was apprehended. Throughout all Europe, the armies kept up under the pretext of defending, have enslaved the people." https://avalon.law.yale.edu/18th_century/debates_629.asp

As if we who have been watching closely and listening to learned voices did not see this coming. Which is the more egregious aspect here: that our governments are shutting down those freedoms that all of humanity are born with, or that our police/military personnel are willingly enforcing such unprecedented edicts? Aren't these people also fellow citizens?

For the mind that asks the question of "why would you need a gun like that", there is only one answer, You only "need" 2000 calories per day, a change of clothing, basic shelter, warmth in the winter with clean fresh water, bathtub and toilet as a bonus. Everything else is a lifestyle choice. If we are letting the state decide, on behalf of the questioner, what lifestyle choices we are allowed, we are in a Gulag. In this war, the side that stands for individual liberties is allowing themselves to lose. How? Please read...

It is inconceivable to me how my side on the right allows their enemies on the left to set the context of the argument. The left makes an accusation, the right plaintively squeaks 'not true', then the left unleashes force as punishment for the supposed violation. This is repeated over and over. It is done incrementally, in stages, in steps. All the while, the right just hangs around protesting their innocence, complaining about hypocrisy, and waiting for the next shoe to drop. This is completely the left's context, and the right just meekly lets it happen.

Instead, the right must seize the offense. The right must make claims about a leftist violation, supported by legal and moral evidence. The right must demand that the left stop the violation. The right must publicly proclaim a line in the sand, and warn the left that any further encroachment is considered incitement and therefore valid excuse to enact a measured physical response. And when the left inevitably doubles down, the right delivers as promised, no exceptions.

Do you see the difference? In this way, the right sets the context. In this way, the left is on the defensive. In this way, the right no longer keeps getting pushed back step by step, but instead starts moving forward, and starts winning. But what it requires of the right is moral clarity and moral courage.

So far, the right has been duped into playing the left's game. That game says the right must adhere to pure, emasculated, passive non-violence in order to remain true to a fake moral ideal that was cleverly, surreptitiously handed to them by the left. It's a game of heads the left wins, tails the right loses. And in case you haven't noticed, the right is losing badly, continuously, to the point where it's almost game over. Damn it everybody, wake up, understand what's being done to you, and seize the damn initiative.

I've heard it said more than a few times in the last few days and I've seen it with my own eyes: the Ottawa truck freedom convoy protests were peaceful until the police came.

This evening I watched a press conference given by Tom Marazzo, one of the speakers for the freedom convoy. A reporter asked him why he was so surprised at police tactics (as shown in the above picture) when that's the way police typically respond to a large protest. Tom answered the question as best he could, you can see the exchange at the link below but I wanted to emphasize: this was a completely peaceful protest. There was absolutely no violence, no property damage, nothing. This was not your typical large protest. Even in Canada where we're all supposed to be so nice, past protests were not so nice by any stretch. The police came in like brutes, at least the ones the politicians managed to scrounge together from the bottom of the barrel.

When are the police and the Federal & Provincial Gov't going to obey the law requiring an investigation into any death of unnatural causes? We know for a fact that this virus is bioengineered, even with some Canadian help. If it was released accidentally, then each death of Covid is at least manslaughter and needs to be investigated as such. In fact the virus was deliberately released so each Covid death is murder one and the police are guilty of dereliction of duty for not investigating it and prosecuting the guilty.

When we look ever closer at 'our' socetal constructs, we notice, sooner than later, contradictions and anomalies abound. It is said that Public Health moves at the speed of trust (Rishi Manchanda).
