Thanks for posting this again. It's relevant to us as my husband crafts a response to his brother who feels it's appropriate to have all conversation topics vetted so they can refuse to engage if they don't want to talk about something. Of course my BiL refused to watch a 2 minute video I sent (which started this "discussion") so I have zero hope he'd read an essay that takes longer than 5 seconds to read.

I think for him, it started long before covid - an unwillingness to learn from others/being unteachable.
I wouldn't label your attempts as failures b/c you don't know the end result for those who read your essays. See yourself as a gardener: they are seeds planted, others water and someone else may reap the harvest. 😺❤️

Fascinating read on the Schwab family history. It almost seems like klaus surrounds himself with highly intelligent people and that has served him well.
In every organization there lurks, in a dark corner of a dank basement, an evil would-be overlord, pulling strings to direct the organization to achieve his, (or it's), goals. Which may, or may not, be aligned with the ostensible goals of the organization. These beings are seldom visible. And are NEVER held accountable for their actions. Ever. No matter how perverse. Mr. Schawb is such a creature. And he has chosen to assume a public profile. That scares me!

They need to be de-cultified and recognized as the bottom-dwelling creepy parasites that they are. Once that happens, we will laugh at how easy they were to dismantle. Mock them endlessly until they hide in shame. Egos that large are fragile.
