It is what it is. Anyway, unlike you Bandit, I LOVE to cook - and even experiment safely in my kitchen where I know I won't get glutened! I don't even own any canned soup. I make tonnes of it and freeze it, though!

But even our kids are told they eat what I give them or they starve. And they can have ONE vegetable that they refuse to eat and they have to eat the rest (they've all picked zucchini for some reason, but my son is starting to eat that now!). But they all love my cooking (as do any guests) so in this household, we're doing A-OK here.

But I must admit, eating out certainly has its merits and I DO miss being able to just get food on the go sometimes.

And my Mum is in her 70s now and honestly hates to cook these days (not that she ever really liked cooking, anyway). She'd be happy to have a live-in cook! Maybe cooking eventually DOES get old - for some. And for others, it doesn't. Guess we're in different camps, Bandit!! How's this - I'll cook for you if/when I see you :-)

I'll take you up on that! 😉 My Mom was a great cook and she liked cooking. I guess it skipped a generation. 😂 My Mom and Dad were the same way about, eat it or go hungry. I was cool with it. Eating 3 meals a day is waaay too much. --- I'd refuse peppers. Green, yellow, and red. Hot I like. --- I like to experiment making basic things like crockpot beef roast and veggies, with mixed beans, lentils, and rice. Lots of garlic. 😋 --- I'm not even sure what all has gluten, other than bread. I'm pitiful, huh? I'm glad you love to cook, you'd be in a real pickle if you didn't like it. --- Take care of yourself and your lucky family! Peace to you.
