He was very ill when this started & if he’s missed most of the formative events, he may have just filled in the blanks with unexamined assumptions (haven’t we all done that?)
I give him credit for having the courage to admit he may have been wrong. I think a conversation with you would cement his understanding and awaken him to the larger tyrannical objectives he still seems unaware of. Hope you can connect soon, and please keep us posted.

As a clinical psychologist, he’ll know I’m telling the truth. It’d be my job to show him my competence (which is how I moved up the hierarchy!)
