Obviously heavily vaccinated Americans are the reason that South Africans have mild disease.

WE DID IT!

I'm waiting to see that headline in the New York Times.

But it does have a comics section. It’s the entire paper.

Speaking of parody, it's quite scary the number of times the Babylon Bee has published an article, only to have it come true some time later...

As a GENERAL RULE, when a person writes frequently with ALL CAPS, that person is a FANATIC.

I only vaguely remember this Chise person from my time on Twitter but, unless this is satire, it is the ranting of an unbalanced mind:

“Know what that means? If you’re not protected, GET PROTECTED. Get VACCINATED. Get BOOSTED (if eligible). Do not walk around without any degree of protection.”

But young healthy people are protected by a healthy immune system, and, in many cases, by natural immunity. So why would they need endless vaccinations and boosters?

Expand full comment

chise is actually quite smart.

but she also works for moderna.

and since the vaxx launched, she's been a one woman propaganda show.

sad to see as she used to provide a lot of useful information.

Expand full comment

I’m sure she’s smart. It’s just very strange to extol vaccines and boosters and deprecate natural immunity.

Only a fraud or a fanatic would claim that those who are young and healthy are ‘walking around without any degree of protection’ from Covid, if they haven’t been vaccinated or “boosted”.

I’m in good health, and I’ve never had a moment of fear about Covid. It just doesn’t pose much risk to me, with or without vaccination. That’s obvious in the data.

Expand full comment

If she is so smart, how come she uses stupid arguments in trying to prove her point?

Expand full comment

I think because she’s essentially a shill for Moderna. That’s what the Bad Cat was implying, it seems.

Her Twitter feed is very strange, though. Very repetitive, with the all caps all the time. It reads like what one might expect from a bot, or from someone suffering from a serious psychiatric disorder.

Expand full comment

Yes! I have found Chise to be a strange account. I don’t read it all the time but never once have I read a tweet that acknowledged disappointment or a set back. It’s always “while X may look like the vaccines are failing, X is actually proof that they are doing exactly as expected.”

Always. That is always the take home message.

And now I learn the author works for Moderna. It all makes sense.

Expand full comment

Yes, and she hides all negative comments on her threads. All the time. I find it fascinating how many people are not skeptical of her account.

Expand full comment

I had no idea you could even do that.

Expand full comment

Yes, I prefer all small case...

Expand full comment

This explains a lot of other things, but not the lacking quality of her arguments.

Expand full comment

Expand full comment

IINM, Ted Bundy was pretty smart if not brilliant. Smart and dishonest/evil are not mutually exclusive.

Expand full comment

Yeah, but her morality is not really discussed and the concise second line (Moderna) tells me that it’s not even open for discussion 😁. Because obviously the teams are set. Maybe she’d like to change teams and join Steve Kirsch, he put out a whistleblower opportunity. True, it was for FDA and CDC, but maybe he’ll settle.

Expand full comment

maybe she's afraid she will be 'disappeared'?

Well, there's always Substack. Last night on another stack I called out a frequent poster there. Representing as a female dentist, she was making detailed knowledge claims to knowledge about patients' detailed health histories about serious health symptoms, their treatment and after-care. It occurred to me that no real-world dentist would even care, much less have access to, such information. 🙂 Now I'm brusque in my best moments, but when someone is pissing in my pocket and telling me it's raining outside, I feel obliged to call him a "liar." 😛

I remember all of the past "pandemics" of my lifetime. The one that makes me chuckle is the "bird flu". How are the so-called vaccines, which target Alpha or Delta, "continuing to do their job of warding off severe illness" from Moronic? And how do we know that it's not the leaky so-called vaccines that made those vaxxed folks susceptible to Moronic in the first place?

Expand full comment

They used to call them "breakthrough" but this has been redefined to be something we've expected all along

Expand full comment

Oh, I thought "breakthrough" referred to the vaxxed becoming infected with what they were vaxxed against.

I think that it does. I was just speculating they we might see yet another term redefined. Like vaccine, herd immunity, anti-vaxxer, etc.

John Campbell just released a new video on Youtube where he talks about the latest on Omicron: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzrG3Odgf28. In addition to the usual scaremongering by British politicians, he embedded a message from a South African health rep, saying "Omicron is mild, majority won't need hospitalization, it last for about 5 days whether you're a child or 80 years old, whether you're vaccinated or unvaccinated, whether you suffer from other comorbidities, this is what we see..." something to that effect. It starts at about 3:50 into the video.

Now, Campbell brings up a good point: South Africa is younger than UK or the US, and there is much more natural immunity. So it will be interesting to see what happens in the UK, which he says is about 2 week ahead of the US in terms of infections. I wonder too whether we are going to see any effects of OAS and ADE due to high levels of vaccination in the UK...

Expand full comment

Fraud always in proportion to excessive emoji usage.

Expand full comment

Love it how they are so quick to praise the vax for the mildness of symptoms. And here we have South Africa which seems to be shrugging it off with about three quarters of the population unvaxxed and most likely all exposed/recovered. Gosh! Who would have thunk! But natural immunity is not REAL immunity now, is it?

Expand full comment

Haven't we realized that irrespective of what the data show, the conclusion will always be the same? Vaccines and masks are effective; we need more and more of them and they need to be mandatory, "for the common good". If "cases" go down, it is because they are working; of "cases" go up, obviously not enough people are vaccinated, boosted or wearing masks. Vaccinated people are getting sick... they need another booster, oh and we need to separate them from the unvaccinated.

Expand full comment

This was especially hilarious during the spring when some states were ditching masks. If numbers are going up in masked states, it's the fault of the minority not wearing masks! When numbers go down in unmasked states, it's because of the minority still wearing masks!

It doesn't have to make sense.

Expand full comment

It's amazing! And I know I shouldn't be surprised, but a person would think that it would be totally obvious to the general public by now. I mean... if every single person you see is wearing a diaper and sanitizing everything around them and people are *still getting sick*, shouldn't that be a sign? You'd think a light bulb would go off in their mind. But it doesn't. Absolutely baffling.

Yes. I don't know what "side of the fence" you are. But that is precisely the point. Every disease, even a common cold, could kill someone with a broken immune system or debilitated organism. Ok, 2 questions: I assume you are separating out previously infected folks when making your assumptions about vax-induced immunity - RIGHT?

But, when I go to the Utah dept of vital statistics website, the latest report is for 2018. I would like to compare fetal deaths from when Utah approved the jab for pregnant women. Can anyone help?

The FDA and CDC should be abolished. Like all the other countless alphabet-soup nests of bureaucrats, they are worse than useless. They do more far harm than good and are far more concerned with their own advancement than some amorphous and subjective "public interest".

It is difficult to even estimate the numbers of people killed due to the chicanery, charlatanism and corporatism practiced by the these corrupt clowns.
