I expect that AI will become a useful tool for doctors, but there is a bottom line: as in any occupation, the tool is only as useful and/or effective as the person wielding it; a professional knife doesn't do much for a novice-level cook.

Unfortunately, we are earnestly trying to bottom out the medical profession by lowering standards, by bringing in foreign doctors with questionable credentials that no longer have to be verified, and by still hewing to DEI as a good thing rather than as being destructive. AI will not help any of those doctors in any real way, nor the barely qualified graduates that universities seem to be churning out.

As for me, I will stick with what I have: an older White doctor that does not believe in immediately medicating, that held the line against covid (I got ivermectin), and that believes that health is more than just some numbers recommended by some 'other' organization. Even at that, I am a bit leery; the medical sector has done an amazing job of cratering trust in their 'professionals' pretty much across the board...

Yep.

It's a tool, an assistant, and that's it.
