I do not think I told this story - it is a long one
Mom was born in 1923 and God gave her only a left hand, her right arm ends just past the wrist. (when I was a kid I thought all moms only had one hand!?)
She did EVERYTHING, skiing making lace, played the piano very well, made all of her 4 kids clothing the list is long. When dad was working for stupid St Dept back in the 70s in Brussels as an auditor, Mom stayed home and of course enjoyed friendships with church and other Americans or traveled over to Holland to seee friends and family. Anyway, one time she was home in Belgium, the door bell rang and some man held up both of his arms, with one hand missing (like mom) and was begging for money door to door. 😬
my mom told him to go to work, you can do anything you want, you are not sufferring. and showed him her missing hand. She was very kind and explained to him that you do what you want because God gave you what you need.
I know with the plandemic she would have refused a lot. She was so anti shot and drug. She lived to 95
And here my FFFFG has been complaining all her life that she has been thwarted by the world because the greatest prejudice is against short people (she is 4'11").
What a remarkable woman your mother was. I am glad you have told us about her.
I used to have a 4'11 sister Dolley. She died at age 48 from smoking (something about crumbling veins and an aneurysm?)
She was pretty shitty to me when I was a little kid, but I became much taller than her at 5'7" and I used to tease her relentlessly. Many times putting things out of her reach. I greatly enjoyed it. She was horrible and shitty, threatened to push me out a window. Geeeez, SCA, you are dredging up some memories over here haha
your thought made me laugh. My mom was so feisty.

We're all deep wells here, ain't we?
Nice to be able to look down each well and see our reflection. ❤️
Thank you for that beautiful testimony to your remarkable mom.
What strength she had. That's a wonderful story. The Millennials today will melt like chocolate if true courage is called for.
