The death of trades high schools in places like NY over my lifetime have been a real tragedy for the futures of intelligent but non-academically interested kids. And yes. This generation of parents who seem to see their kids only as lifestyle accessories and not whom you'd be willing to die for is just astounding to me. God help us.
I'm an older mom (57) which may explain my approach and my more conservative values. Who knows? Even though my husband and I are college educated, we know that colleges are woke/indoctrination factories as of late. And demand for the trades will continue to increase as the supply of experts dwindles. Anyone who's had to call a plumber or an electrician knows. ;-)
