"a wealthy, evangelically-oriented, politically libertarian suburb of Indianapolis"....if it's not compromising privacy, would you mind sharing the name of the town? I was born and raised in Westfield (which is a far, far different place now than it was when I was a kid in the 60s-70s) and I'm curious where this could be?
Well, I stretched it a bit, when I thought abt it later. It was actually Noblesville, where the theatre was located, but I also knew doctors in Carmel (actually, north of Carmel) who held these views. My nurse friend has been practicing at what used to be called Methodist Hospital in the city, now one of the IU Healths. By no means do I think Noblesville is only libertarian or open to vaccine choice - it just did, in those days, allow the movie to be shown, and there was a constituency there for those ideas. No idea what they did in 2020.
