I would imagine now the other justices will agree to leave it alone. The threat of violence (and in particular the threat of violence to them personally) surely supports such a conclusion. Which I am now convinced is exactly why this document was leaked.
Oh. I understand your point now. And that approach certainly fits Roberts' style and how he has led SCOTUS thus far. He is all about maintaining court integrity and reputation at all costs. Again, this leak may have upended even those intentions, though. The ultimate irony is that the Court may/will lose credibility with both the Left and the Right and instead inject more chaos into our system. I guess that, too, is a "win" for those of a certain political persuasion.
