The funniest part, IMHO, is the fact that the bar was losing money, hand over fist, because the Uber Woke crowd is permanently and perpetually broke! They do not have jobs, they have never worked in the real world, and thus, they believe that they should be given free drinks, free food, and unlimited "entertainment" because they are SO disadvantaged!

The one owner who is left, who is $50K in debt, just learned the first rule of Econ 101 - TANSTAFL! (There ain't no such thing as a free lunch!)

If she has any sense at all she will run, as far and fast as she can, away from these people and will begin a personal journey to understand why she ever fell for this crap in the first place!!

This quote seens apt as an entrée to the main course of objecting to your hypothesis that woke is dead:

"That is not dead which can eternal lie, And with strange aeons even death may die."

As mentioned last thread, political correctness was a huge thing in the 1970s, but there was no internet and so it couldn't spread as much, nor had corporate capitalism adopted it the way it has done since ca 2005, and academia hadn't been infiltrated and co-opted to the degree it became in the 1990s.

What happened was that in 1984, everyone thought PC-culture was dead, mocked into oblivion by pundits and comics and entertainment-media and the sheer ridiculousness of its purveyors.

And then in the late 1990s and early 00s it returned with a vengeance:

Queer theory, Critical theory, racial grievance courses, new feminism, and the homolesbopedo-parade bunch suddenyl becoming the darling of capitalism (remember the "pink dollar"-idea in marketing?).

It's not dead. It's going dormant.

It will try to rise again.

Be ready, because the cycle of these things is dependent on the speed of communication more than anything. When ideas only spread among the upper classes because books were rare and expensive, it took generations or even centuries. With books becoming commonplace it took decades, maybe only years, and the idea spread among the bourgeoisie as well. With newspapers and radio and TV it spread immediately to everyone.

With internet and spyphones in everyoneäs face all the time, an idea can die and return in the same fiscal quarter.

Not dead.

Woke is an enemy that cannot die.
