Good post. I disagree, however, that certain identities should not be attacked or called into question though. This "obey and validate me" dynamic is pretty clearly a consequence of allowing too many vapid women into positions of authority.
When they do things like bring identity politics into work (for example - they also do it to the military, to schools, and wherever else they hold sway), they don't actually have an objective in doing so. Forcing you to listen to them is the whole reason they're doing it. It's the dynamic of that old "It's Not About the Nail" skit. "More women of color doing whatever" isn't an objective. It has no success criteria. People turn a blind eye to how often women do this sort of thing because it highlights why we have sex-based roles in the first place.
The real danger, I should note, isn't from obnoxious, authoritarian women. It's when this behavior drives men to a "Nothing is true, everything is permitted" mindset. That's when things get nasty, French Revolution style.
