I learned my lesson on social media when I was taking courses on Lynda when LinkedIn bought it. all of a sudden there were minders, trolls, and Karens everywhere infesting that platform and criticizing any input. I bailed and remained scarce on all social media since. Substack being my one exception, mainly because so much is at stake since 2020. Frankly, the days when you went to stores to peruse the music, comic books, book stores for real books, video games, and computer software where wonderful. I would find stuff I would never have seen now that everything is online vendors. We lost something when there were no more Blockbuster Videos, Best Buys no longer had all that software to look at and compare for what would suit my needs best. Are we in a brave new world now? I think not. it is one of timidity and compliance for far too many.

LinkedIn is now a complete abomination. I've made mine as minimal and hard-to-find as possible.

Linkedin? What's that?

Seriously, I'm glad I have no contact with most of these things. One advantage of being old. Every day I spend some time thinking of more ways to 'drop out' and become invisible.
