The census does not only count U.S. citizens. It counts every person living in the country on Census Day, including undocumented illegals and green card holders, where they usually live and sleep.

Yep, and if you look at older census data, you'll see that residents were asked if they were immigrants (and where from), or naturalized (and when) and other citizenship type questions.

Agree, but voting is a state by state authority, so I think they will have to pass laws re voter ID etc through Congress and quickly. Trump tried to change the Census rules in 2020 before the coup. He wanted to count only Americans for purposes of apportioning Congressional seats. They threw him out of office before he could implement the rule, and now the next Census is not until 2030. Americans are fleeing from "sanctuary states" to red states in droves. If only Americans are counted in 2030 the balance of political power will shift to the red states.

Just with those simple rules, you need to throw in a couple of arbitrary parameters -- like the relative weight to assign to perimeter minimization and population minimization. Then give them a beeper that must be on their personal at all times. Their children become citizens, when at least one of their parents becomes a citizen. We have to get serious - look at Europe.

At one time we could analyze raw census data to the block level and come away with a very clear picture of the target area. Not anymore. The slide started with the 2010 count. It was rife with errors. In fact government economic data reliability in general gradually declined throughout that decade, and continues to get worse.
The 2020 census is so corrupted with sampling errors and gaps in the data it’s unusable for those making capital risk decisions based on trade area market data. But it is very useful for the democrats.

I live in a wonderful little town, stuck in a deep blue state. They are right now planning to revoke the Second amendment in this state. My family has been here four hundred years. I don't want to run, but staying here seems pointless, unless the Trump Administration actually enforces the Constitution like they promised. I'd love to see more musing on the implications of natural selection on North American vs. European populations - Americans are the descendants of people who took the risk of starting afresh in a new place, and Europeans of those who chose to stay behind, either because they already had an economic position (oldest sons?) or because they were too timid and risk-averse. I lived in northwest London back in the 80's. This was when there bombs going off every so often in the High Street, when our embassy in Beirut was bombed. Still, London was a great place to be. Yep, and if you look at older census data, you'll see that residents were asked if they were immigrants (and where from), or naturalized (and when) and other citizenship type questions.

Trump tried to change the Census rules in 2020 before the coup. He wanted to count only Americans for purposes of apportioning Congressional seats. They threw him out of office before he could implement the rule, and now the next Census is not until 2030. Americans are fleeing from "sanctuary states" to red states in droves. If only Americans are counted in 2030 the balance of political power will shift to the red states.
I remember that and thinking that was an excellent idea. Course, I believed Trump would win in 2020 and be able to achieve this goal. All in all, I'm glad he had the extra 4 years to plan and gear up for a second Trump administration.

It's the, "...if only Americans (citizens)" problem with current census rules. As noted elsewhere, the census used to, and should revert to - distinguishing between legal US citizens, legal residents and 'others'. And those attestations should be backed with valid identification.
But the blue states cannot be allowed to count the illegals, and that is primarily where they are.

Tomorrow we vote for a WI supreme court justice. If the democrats win they will redraw the Federal House Of Representative districts to remove 2 republican Reps.. The same is being done in Florida. That Democrat led WI supreme court will ignore the law that districts are redrawn 2 years after the Census and do it before the 2026 election. We are long since past the point where computers (with or without ai) should draw all congressional maps.
Parameters:
1. minimize perimeter of each district
2. equalize population of each district
3. Roughly equate length and width of each district
4. Draw map.
Just with those simple rules, you need to throw in a couple of arbitrary parameters -- like the relative weight to assign to perimeter minimization and population minimization. And any change to that parameter will change the results. And you can bet you last dollar that whomever is running the program will know that, and will tune the value to bias the results in their favor.
Not so easy. Sort of like claiming to drain the swamp. Long entrenched history of gerrymandering districts is hard to stop regardless of the political parties.
The census should count everyone, and determine whether or not they are citizens - and if not citizens, what they are, specifically. Once that is done, we can go on to giving them a permanent ID via DNA, retina scans, fingerprints, facial recognition, etc and then assigning them a permanent social-security-like code number that begins with “NS”. Then give them a beeper that must be on their personal at all times. Their children become citizens, when at least one of their parents becomes a citizen. We have to get serious - look at Europe.

At one time we could analyze raw census data to the block level and come away with a very clear picture of the target area. Not anymore. The slide started with the 2010 count. It was rife with errors. In fact government economic data reliability in general gradually declined throughout that decade, and continues to get worse.
The 2020 census is so corrupted with sampling errors and gaps in the data it’s unusable for those making capital risk decisions based on trade area market data. But it is very useful for the democrats.
The House Oversight Committee released a report in Sept. 2024. They did not bury the lede. “The 2020 PES identified statistically significant overcounts in New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Delaware, Minnesota, Utah, and Ohio, while finding undercounts in states like Texas, Florida, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Illinois”. There’s a lot more, but you get the gist. They blamed the lockdowns, how convenient.
And it’s going to get worse unless it hits somebody’s radar quickly. The census website says they started prepping for the 2030 census in 2019. That House Oversight report was intended to guide the bureau to fix the errors. Sounds like a job for DOGE Team Six.

I'd love to see more musing on the implications of natural selection on North American vs. European populations - Americans are the descendants of people who took the risk of starting afresh in a new place, and Europeans of those who chose to stay behind, either because they already had an economic position (oldest sons?) or because they were too timid and risk-averse. Done at scale, that sort of selection has to have downstream results, especially if people can then concentrate the genes of the most successful.
They also gleefully slaughtered millions of their own more adventurous and able-bodied over the course of 2 world wars, the first fought over vanity led on by stupid generals and pols who wanted to try out new weapons to fight over a stretch of land smaller than many US states, and the second, the result of the punitive results on the losers of the first.

I lived in northwest London back in the 80's. This was when there bombs going off every so often in the High Street, when our embassy in Beirut was bombed. Still, London was a great place to be. Sure, there were immigrants, but they had largely assimilated into the culture. By the end of my stay there, a lot of folks thought I was from Canada.
Today, I have absolutely no desire to return, even for a visit and I fear for my wife when she goes for a visit to see family. And it's only getting worse.
I also lived in NW London in the ‘eighties and loved it. We left in the early ‘nineties and have been living in small towns in mostly rural counties since then. We used to go back often to visit friends, but won’t be doing that this year: it’s changed, the elan has gone.
I was there, NW10, from '81-86. Even then, the immediate neighborhoods were changing. But nothing like the chaos now.
I like your idea Gato Malo, would be useful down under also. But, look at Switzerland where every house has a gun and yet you mentioned that they are also being invaded. If the populace is so propagandised, will they pick up their new or old weapons??
