I remember when I was a kid in early 1970's Cali. My babysitter's dad was a full bird Colonel and born again Christian. And I was nosy. I overheard the adults talking in the other room. The Colonel had just come back from Brussels and said that was where The Beast was going to originate from. He had seen it...and it was a giant computer at the heart of it all. I could not imagine such a thing at 9 years old, but now? Absolutely.
