Not mine. Michael Hudson. I think this is the link. If not, it's on the same web-site. His perspective in invaluable but requires serious thinking while you read. Most of us are not used to serious thought anymore, unfortunately.
Hudson is accurate about the International banking system as an exploitive debt slavery institution. He is wrong about China. The globalist bankers like the Chinese model of authoritarian control of information and markets. Trump's America first policies are in direct opposition to the subjugation of nation states by corporate oligarchs. Freer trade will result from the realignment maintaining America's dominance as the wealth capital of the world.
Read Hudson more carefully. Free markets, as he goes into in depth, are the opposite of what the neo-cons call them. Free markets are FREE OF RENTS. RENTS are the difference between the cost of production and what you sell the product for. In other words, unearned profit. They are not shared with the workers who actually produced the product. The neo-cons call a free market one which is not taxed and one in which the owners of capital keep ALL the profits. That's not sustainable. The Chinese do control their markets and banking. The information, for sure. My sister was sitting in her apartment in Shanghai one evening when the door burst open and a bunch of Chinese law enforcement came in and silently unplugged her computer and peripherals and removed them from her living space. That's when she decided not to renew her contract. I don't disagree that the Chinese control their population more than I'd care to be controlled. But Western governments steal from their population to an unbelievable degree and it's really exhausting to deal with that, as well. I want the means of sustenance and survival to belong to the public. They should not be owned by private entities. They are going to try to turn social security into a privately owned operation. Is that okay with me? It is not. That's MY MONEY that's in the social security trust. I've been paying into it for half a century. It does not belong to Happy, Dopey, Grouchy, et al. When was the last time they actually EARNED a dollar? Trump's "America First" policy is just meaningless words. It's like "Four legs good, two legs bad." No country is first. All are of equal importance. All deserve to exercise their own sovereignty. You've been indoctrinated so much you can't tell which is up and which is down. Think about it a bit more carefully, please. If America is first, who is last? Any what is the justification for either?
You're the indoctrinated one. Capitalism is how human development is maximized. Corruption is the problem as it is with all human institutions. Workers get paid what they are willing to trade their labor for. Nothing belongs to the public that they didn't earn themselves.
America first is about looking out for our interests first not being number 1.
No. You are the indoctrinated one. You sound so American and you probably believe that is the human norm. It isn't. Actually, everything belongs to everyone, if it belongs to anyone. You could say private property ownership is B.S., which is much the same thing. The oxygen I breath as I write this belongs to me, you, every living organism that uses oxygen. Water? We all have an equal right to water and sunlight, whatever. Capitalism requires constant growth which is absurd. At some point any organism that keeps growing matures and dies. So will capitalism. America First is not about looking out for our interests. I'm all for that (although I suspect we disagree on the definition of "our interests"). As Trump views it, and as many MAGA view it, it is about being number one which we never were and never will be. There is no such thing. This is such an entitled male perspective. The problem with being an entitled male is that no male creates life. So you're always doomed to being number two. And the American economy is completely dependent on the subjugation of other countries' economies. Eventually even slaves revolt and develop their own cultures and political organizations. The American economy is currently dependent on loan "repayments" and ownership of other peoples' raw resources. If we cannot learn to share and to respect others' sovereignty, we are doomed. Westerners need to stop talking and start listening.
Trump is organized crime. He's not strong and he'll be victorious over no one. He's a marionette.
We’re lucky to have your expertise on this matter
