Actually, you can change the time lapse on a YouTube video. Just click on the settings button and choose the speed you want. I watched this video at 0.25x and a 3-minute vid becomes a 12-minute one. Really gives a better perspective on all the shenanigans that occured over the centuries. Bloodshed galore.
Thanks for the tip . . 0.25 is a lot better. The dynamics of the Hungarian border, the interaction between Russia & the Ottomans, and the century-long disappearance of Poland, and so much more.
I agree, but I would exclude Russia from that core of Western Civilization.
Russia’s anemic 1% growth over 17 years is a product of its institutionalized corruption. They will collapse like the rest. Perhaps the Mongols will return and overrun them.
Thanks, great video - a quick, intensive history lesson (it would be nice if the video was slower).
- The old Austrian-Hungarian Empire is doing itself proud in terms of current GDP growth.
- Looks like Poland/Lithuania, Russia, and the old A-H empire may become the new center of “Western” civilization.
- How much of the 3rd world immigration is directly attributable to EU policies?

Russian economy has boomed since the war and " sanctions". Their economy is based on real things, assets and resources...not fiat.
