letting the most afraid and bullying wield the whip hand to force you into acquiescence of their narratives of anxiety is how freedom fails.
it elevates precisely the wrong people to prominence and entrusts them with power that even an idealized beneficent philosopher king could not and should not wield.
and this is exactly what “woke” must always an inevitably do. it selects for the least calibrated and most performatively dramatic.
and honestly, it’s getting perilously difficult to discern parody from pointing at the left field fence and calling your shot…
