Every time I think you’ve introduced me to my new favorite cat meme, el gato, you come up with something like the step-sitting kitty rebel 😼✊

Expand full comment

I recently wanted to suggest merch (gato posters! T shirts with gatito bueno saying “excuse me guys but”, become ungovernable stickers!) but don’t know how that would be worked out if the artwork isn't original. The merch desire started with the cop cat asking for “civil disobedience, please” a few weeks ago.

Hey even better!! You rock. Great idea. And Stalin! We already had "Chairman Meow" so that's done LOL.

Somebody talk me off the ledge here. My 14 yo son's pediatrician's office just called me and said that she is refusing to order a covid antibody test for him. I asked why and all they would says is, "She says it's not recommended."

It's pretty easy to guess why not - because she works for a hospital that is pushing vaccines and the corporate office doesn't want to muddle that message with people using information in unapproved ways.

I can easily get him a test somewhere else, but now I'm thinking I need to find him a new doctor if they are going to be refusing simple blood tests because they don't trust people to make decisions with which they might not agree.

I was in the hospital with covid over the summer. I'm pretty sure he gave it to me. My wife really wants him to get a shot and I'm trying to head her off at the pass with proof of prior infection.

It's a sad sad world when you can't even trust your kid's doctor to be transparent.

Expand full comment

Update: The nurse called back and was transparent enough to say that they are pushing vaccines and that antibodies "give a false sense of security".

Undiscussed was the reasoning behind recommended a vaccine that has been shown to be more risky to teenagers than the virus itself.... but I'm sure her reasoning has more to do with her own ability to keep putting food on the table.

Expand full comment

A false sense of security? Recovery from a prior infection is the gold standard of protection! You literally can't get that kind of protection from the jab!!

Expand full comment

Seems to me, antibodies from the VAX give a false sense of security. But what do I know?

Expand full comment

I recommend you send this article to the nurse with whom you spoke. I'm not suggesting it will change the policy of the practice, but it might give them pause.

They all defer to the CDC or their hospital system to excuse their ignorance or cowardice. Make them uncomfortable. And, yes, you might want to find a new doctor for your son.

Literally just posted about this last night. In my eyes, they want herd immunity to get covid zero. To do so they must get every corner of the world, humans and animals, to a high level of vaccination. Meanwhile, the shots "wear off", so they need to give people boosters every few months. By the time they've gotten enough people vaccination and boostered up, we will all have gotten covid naturally, will have dozens of chances at AEs, BigPharma will own all the wealth in the world, and the virus will still come back anyways. All for a virus that poses little risk for the majority of individuals in society. Yikes!

Getting rid of your smartphone is also a huge step in the right direction as far as not being tracked and traced. Those of us 40 years old and older lived VERY well (better actually) before we allowed ourselves to be monitored on a daily basis through our smartphones by the evils that surround us. Sure, maybe you have some kind of job that really requires you to have one, but if you don't, ditch that invasive piece of technology and get your privacy back. If I can do it, anybody can! el gato malo and others cat fans, I need your advice. I just received the following holiday invite from the wife of a work colleague whom I really enjoy:

"So glad to have Ann and Brian visiting, and a chance to come together again with those we hold so dear. Because we value you all, and we have at-risk folks who are attending this event, we ask that if you are unvaccinated you join us via Zoom (link will follow).

Recognize this is a personal choice and 100% honor that -- let me know in the poll if you would like to participate in the Zoom to say hi!"

Wishing you a very blessed holiday season."

She wants a response. Here's what I'd like to say:

"Hi Mary,

Thanks for the invite. Does vaccinated mean one shot, two shots, three shots? Miquel and I don't believe in segregation. Sick people should stay away from others. Someone's private health decisions are just that, private. Asking unvaccinated people to attend via Zoom is similar to saying, you can ride the bus but you must sit in the back. The vaccine does not prevent infection or transmission of any variant. Therefore, all are on equal footing except for those that maintain good health and have adequate vitamin D levels. While we love you and Darren, we won't be attending."

What do you all think? Suggestions?

Expand full comment

For the past few years I've been included in an adult child's invitation from friends to Thanksgiving (Friendsgiving) dinner celebration. This is not my original home state so I have no other family or friends here. This year I asked him to tell them I'm unvaccinated so they could decide if I remained an acceptable guest. They had no problem but at least one other guest expressed distress, and since I really am an add-on (40 years older than most of 'em so it's like bringing Grandma along to a young'uns party), I didn't expect them to have to choose who was more worthy. My kid and I did a very pleasant Thanksgiving lunch (take-in traditional meal and I made additions) and then my kid went to the friends' dinner.

In your situation where it's your own peer group: "[W]hile we love you and Darren, we won't be attending." Keep your dignity and courtesy intact. Let them make of your response what they will. Order in the meal of your heart's desire; watch the silliest movies in a marathon of indulgence and enjoy no or negligible cleanup.

Expand full comment

I think you should speak your mind. You might want to include links to reputable data sources as well.

For example, the UK Health Security has reported a higher rate of infection in the fully vaxxed age 30 and older for the last eight weeks.

Nearly four of every five people who died in the last nine weeks (reports for week 39-47) were fully vaxxed. 77.9% of those who died between week 43 and week 46 2021 were fully vaxxed (week 47 report).

Yes, the rate of death is lower in the fully vaxxed, but...

Week 47 report, pages 31, 33

Over 80s deaths per 100,000 within 28 days of +PCR

Fully vaxxed: 55.6

Unvaxxed: 145.5

Over 80s deaths, between week 43 and week 46 2021

1,726 Deaths

1,492 Fully vaxxed

187 Unvaxxed

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-vaccine-weekly-surveillance-reports

The CDC director admitted to Wolf Blitzer in early August...four months ago...that the jabs do not stop infection or transmission of the virus and that the fully vaxxed and unvaxxed have similar viral loads.

https://rumble.com/vkscco-cdcs-dr.-rochelle-walensky-admits.html

You're offended. I would be as well. The truth is many people have been broken by the pandemic response. They live in fear, and they believe what the authority figures and talking heads say. Challenge her...and tell her that her plan of protection is an illusion.

Decline her invitation to sit in the back of the bus and make other plans with likeminded people...if you can find them.

I don't know how many breakthrough infections of fully vaxxed people will shake the masses from their trance. I've posted that Walensky-Blitzer video clip hundreds of times over the past four months. I guess people just won't let go of the first big lie: we can vaxx our way out of this pandemic.

Expand full comment

Thank you for your thoughts and the links. You're right, people are so invested in the vaccine belief and are fearful. I'm starting to think that some of these people will never "get it" or if they do, it will be too late for them.

In this case, I decided to call my co-worker to let him know that I'd received the holiday invite. He hadn't seen it. He asked me to read it to him. Then I said, "You know me well enough to know what I think about the vaccine issue and segrating people. You know that vaccines don't prevent illness or transmission." He said that he believed his wife was trying to appease their millennial daughter whose diabetic boyfriend will be in attendance. The daughter has totally bought in to the vaccine. I responded that I appreciate their position and that I am very well aware of how diabetes affects those that have it as I have three immediate family members with it (two are in their 80's and one in her 60's and still going strong). Obviously, he and his wife have been "vaccinated" and he hadn't told me (nor did I ask because health matters are private). I thanked him for the invite and let him know we won't be attending. Then we talked about business stuff and things were cordial. I fear for the safety of all who've taken this shot. I also fear for the safety of those who will not comply to the madness engulfing the world.

Ugh, that Topol guy...

I caught his interview on Sam Harris' podcast. I wonder how much his influence helped Sam become a communicant in the Church of COVID Hysteria.

It disappointed me to witness in Sam's followup 'housekeeping' comments later featured on his show, that this has strained his relationship with Bret Weinstein. Sam chose Eric T. over Bret W. when the chips were down. I think Bret's views will be more vindicated than Eric's, in the fullness of time.

Eric, I expect, would regard Drs. like Peter McCullough as rank quacks.

Hardly...

It's Eric who's quacking...

(this should become a provable statement soon enough)

I'm ready to push hard into the teeth of the absurdity. My employer's 300+ front line health care workers all have to be vaxxed or no Medicaid reimbursement. Why should family be allowed to visit loved ones if they're unvaxxed and pose the same workplace threat as my coworkers?

Eric Topol is the guest that Sam Harris hand-picked for his podcast to assassinate the reputation of his "friend" Bret Weinstein.

Re that fraud Topol, the simplest refutation of him is to use his own words against him. First his tweet claiming fully vaccinated = 2.

When they move to 4, just show people this tweet of his re 3.

For the record, I have always used, "Fun Facts to Know and Tell" as my description of such things. #YMMV

As an aside, maybe we need to publish a list of "Ostensible Experts Who Proved To Be Complete Wankers" or some name like that. Topol makes the list. Feigl-Ding makes the list. Others?
