not sure whether and to what extent i will get involved and cross post there, but it seems like an potentially interesting new platform and will be taking a look to see if it germinates into anything useful.
some pals seem to be trying it out as well. (and getting schmancy red V’s…)
btw, to be clear and because people are asking, i am not going anywhere. i really like the substack platform and will seek others as an adjunct to this and to increase its reach, not as any attempt to replace it.
Yeah, the new Parler. Wait til there are enough big names on it, it gets popular, and poof - it will be undermined. (My guess, based on recent history.) Meanwhile, Gab has already fought Big Tech attacks to take it down, has already found solutions to prevent that, and imho will be the last free-speech social media site standing, all while also building the Parallel Economy, so we're less likely to become slaves through that tactic.
GETTR is all aflutter with birdie refugees and that may give it the traction it needs to really compete with the fiendish fowl. It is visually appealing, much more than Parler or Mewe. Or Gab for that matter, but Gab is alright.
Locals, Telegram, Parler, Gab, Rumble, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, Nextdoor, Mumble, Discord... who has time for all that? I have people asking me to use all these apps.
[edit] Oh wait, I forgot Odysee and MeWe apparently.
I wanted to like Parler but it “feels”claustrophobic to me. It’s visual of course, but not what I was expecting or wanting. I’ve barely used it because navigating seems clumsy. I’ll give it another look.
I find substack much more convenient than the blue bird and similar. When someone has something important to say, a limited number of characters is not very interesting.
Even with 1000, substack is a different thing. I find it more convenient for the kind of articles we are reading these days, very long analyses of complicated stuff. But, yes, with 1000 Parker can be an intermediate situation. I wish you guys a lot of success.
are you still seeing that? we had way too much of it in the summer, when we were furiously rebuilding all the code, I agree. also spinners. but it should be much better now. let me know if you try again and run into problems, so I can alert the tech team.
How many times do you people have to fall for this? Moving from one centralized platform that censors you, to a different centralized platform that inevitably fails either because only the "undesirable" people moved there or because it stops being profitable.
I genuinely wonder how many years, if ever, it's gonna take for the terms "decentralization" and "federation" to enter the common parlance of ordinary people, because until then, we're not gonna move forward.
Want to have a free and noncensorious Twitter? Join or create a Fediverse instance.
Want the same with Youtube? Peertube.
Want to have a chat platform where you're not sending your data to someone who has the incentive to misuse it? XMPP or Matrix protocol based messengers, such as Element.
Don't join yet another centralized alt-tech grift project that will shut down or get abandoned in a couple of years. Work on creating an interconnected federated network without centralized control, you're not gonna find what you're looking for until then.
this is, to be sure, a solid criticism and one i have leveled many times myself.
the difficulty is that the real swarm sourced encrypted p2p networks owned by no one are not quite baked yet.
we're going to have some awkward years of in between and during that time there will still be (and need to be) a public square of some sort in which ideas can be exchanged.
another walled garden cannot be the right answer long run, but it might be the "right now" answer for the moment.
i suspect gettr will struggle to launch and attain sufficient scale and diversity to really thrive, but it may be preferable to the bluebird if it did.
working on the creation of federated networks and seeking reach on existing networks need not be mutually exclusive pathways in the near term.
Fun fact, Gab joined the Fediverse network for a time, but Andrew Torba, the founder of Gab, got bullied on there so hard he just decided to defederate his platform to save face.
So much for free speech. Don't expect any better from any centralized platform, no matter if it's run by lefties or right-wingers.
Free speech has downsides as well as upsides. That's why moms used to tell kids the way to handle mean words: "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never harm me." Had to be tough in the old days.
Close but not quite... Gab forked Mastodon to be their new platform. ActivityPub and all. So, suddenly the Fediverse more than doubled in size; Gab was the largest node. But then all the major Fedi instances blocked Gab servers, a little network war ensued, and Gab apparently decided that the rest of the fediverse wasn't worth the effort to try to keep up with. I don't think it was about Torba personally at all. Gab is still basically Mastodon under the hood, which explains in part why it's so slow and glitchy.
Not quite baked yet? I can accept that for Matrix, since the element.io app is quite clunky and not quite feature-complete yet, but the Fediverse servers (both Pleroma and Mastodon) are very usable.
The current issue with the Fediverse is that it's not very popular, and as such the only people on the Fediverse are weird tech nerds and the aforementioned "undesirables".
There just isn't a large marketing/commercial force driving adoption of ANY decentralized network, in fact, there are monetary incentives not to talk about any such network.
We are going to watch as people jump from one dying centralized platform to another until someone decides to spend lots of money marketing federated networks (unlikely) or the discourse changes significantly enough for people to start getting exposed to the concept of federation and decentralization.
i have played with it and found it halting, slow, and prone to schism and dropouts.
mastadon is a hobby, not a platform at this point and it's not going to ramp up in relevance from a metcalf's law perspective until they figure that out.
the value is not in the features, it's in the nodes it connects.
the winning play is likely to be something than can integrate and subsume other nets. this is what's going to make it a hard problem. the walled gardens are not going to go away, they need to be cracked open.
the difficulty is knowing who to trust - false flags, honeypots. I would think that launching isn't an issue for the billionaire owner - but where is his allegiance? Portrayed as a dissident by his home country - but is he really? He's spoken out about some hot issues such as the "safe and effective" product - but now it's not as if an incredible secret is being revealed. So it can give the illusion of a white hat. I'm not wanting to disparage anyone who could be helping free speech - the trick is in differentiating that and false flags. See also earlier post by Laurie re Amazon and Paula re CCP (I haven't checked either claim yet, but it's worth checking for smoke)
JP Sears raves about Zion for its decentralised status, as its built on the bitcoin blockchain. I haven't checked it out myself, but it sounds interesting.
This is just the break up Yugoslavia playing out on social media. Instead of algorithmically controlled echo chambers, we now have echo platforms. Group think herding into different applications.
this is my concern as well. if it becomes too affinity based and ideologically narrow, it will not be a useful public square.
the real long term aim is real peer to peer swarm sourced internet and social media, but this is going to take a while to evolve.
that said, the bluebird is really playing an increasingly nasty game of suppression and new management has stated outright that they plan to accelerate this as an explicit community goal, so will be interesting to see how that plays out.
Yes, the blue bird has absolutely made these conditions possible. What they don't realize is like the legacy media without their orange nemesis, soon there will be no more 'gotcha' games to play on any platform. No challengers, no challenges, no reactions, no meme sources, no amusement. No yin or yang. Just placid, boring, soothing reinforcement of already held views. Attention networked soma for emotional and feelings management. I was on gettr for two months, deleted my account, but spent about a total of 8 minutes searching for anything interesting to no avail. There are opportunities there for self-promotion of course, but I hate that part of this attention circus. Whoring oneself for monetary attention conversion is so degrading. Substack is proving the best place to "be" in our present moment. Especially having these conversations. always enjoy the sharp claws of the bad gatito.
Hopefully as more people join GETTR, more diversity of opinion will follow. I just don't want to support Twitter and its opposition to anything anti-propaganda.
Is it really necessary for one to join a "platform" in order to think one is "informed" about the current situation, whatever and wherever it may be occurring?
How much time is one expected to devote to sifting through a lot - let's be honest, folks - of repetition, and useless snark and "a-ha's" just to be able to think or believe that they "know what's going on out there"?
There are so many sites that have "blog rolls" that already do "all of the above" including linking to tweets that may be rightly informative and pertinent to the conversation. One doesn't have to register to twitter to actually read them, just to make comment and read other comments from other proverbial "nobody's". Same with Gab.
My husband has an account, I do not have an active account (i was among the first 10,000 but cannot even remember my name or password or even pretend I care) and yet, somehow, we learn the exact same "newsthings".
you go for the interaction, the debate, and the engagement.
you go to meet folks and expand the scope of conversations you're having.
the best part of twitter isn't even twitter, it's the chat rooms and DM's where you can generate debate and collaboration.
it's also a stunning form of unstructured search engine once you have a good sized following. you can ask a complex question and get REALLY good answers.
also, it's incredibly fun to dunk on blue checks...
this is what the other nets have lacked. they simply do not have the size, scope, and diversity that the bluebird does,
we can dislike them all we like, but they are where the action is, at least for now.
This is why Gab is failing, it's only very right wing. Rumble has done an excellent job of getting a number of actual journalists on there like Glenn Greenwald. Yes, it leans right for now but I'm hoping it takes over YouTube. Gettr appears to be very right at the moment, but I sense it has a better chance than Gab or Parler to balance out. We'll see.
Are you denying that there's not jew haters on gab. Every time i turn around there's people on there calling someone a kike. Like i said, i don't care. That's what free speech is all about. I'm just glad the block button works well
There seems a strong minority of people out there who do not identify as "left" or "right" but anti-authoritarian and pro-intellectual humility first and foremost. And in the current moment: anti-medical-authoritarianism. If GETTR (or any platform) can start from that seed, it could be more than an echo chamber. We'll see if such a thing happens.
Gab has potential but does have a lot of anti israel, anti jewish talk. It's fine...that's free speech and the block button works well. Even if some of the things they say is true, there seems to be a disproportionate amount of people who are fixated on israel and Torba is one of them. You know that saying, when you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail? Well, when you dislike someone, they're all somehow a jew
Just set up an account and looked for you there yesterday... so excited Ethical Skeptic is there too! You guys were the first cats in the cool barn in Ye Auld April of Twenty.
Glad you’re staying on Substack. You’ve built a great community here. I’m already overwhelmed by the Substack writers I read, so probably won’t follow you there…Glad you’re checking it out.
J. Michael Waller, whose post it really is, is on Gab. So is former Biden donor Dr. Robert Malone. And Dr. Kulldorff. And Steve Kirsch. So, a lot of 'right-wing crazies,' lol.
I wish you would post on Gab. Gettr is pretty weak and there are a lot of interesting people on Gab. It is like the unrestricted lane on the autobahn. Dr. Malone has an account there.
Posted your Fauci piece on Parler. First comment is a question from someone I haven’t seen before, a question you are better equipped to answer than I.
Gab already has a reputation for being a right-wing echo chamber. The problem is those on left will still use Twitter and Facebook because it's their echo chamber. We're going to end up with certain social media platforms for the right, and certain ones for the left, and never the twain shall meet. Got to start somewhere though I guess.
Telegram is technically head and shoulders above most of its competitors. It's also pretty good about free speech. But it's not particularly web-based, it's a messaging app that has grown to support very large channels. I like it, but I wouldn't think of it as a Twitter replacement.
I signed up on GETTR but I'll probably deactivate the account. There is far too much bad mouthing and very little interesting talk. Substack is the best platform out there for my interest.
Is GETTR flavor of the month like Parler? Parler came back after it was kicked off its servers but no one talks about it anymore. Is a week's downtime all it takes to silence a new platform? And if that is so, GETTR's future is not bright...
but the chinese guy is in exile and his commie country wants to jail him for "corruption". apparently then the feds went looking for mr. bannon they found him on Ghou's yatch...hmmm.
glad to see you on Gettr - I just joined also! So far I like it pretty well. I still have to be on Twitter/FB/IG for my job sadly.
Parler - sorry to the poster who works there (Amy P.) - UI just not good. Gab also - terrible. with UI there is the visual part and the "playthrough" feel part. Gab is terrible on both counts, Parler just on the "feel" part. I am an ex UX/UI consultant (retired from tech now, and back in the Evil ad world and much much happier for it).
also here I go replying to myself lol - gab is a dark place. I really tried just blocking and blocking but I found that blocking accounts took up like 90 percent of my time. that is not a good sign?
I'm on Gab every day and I rarely have to block anyone (a few silly lefties only come to troll). I'm a calm, polite medical professional with a strong interest in politics. Have you been on Gab recently? What do you think was the magnet for those you needed to block?
You and Joe Rogan . . . the big to-do today is that after they pulled MTG (I don't agree with her, but she has a right to say what she wants and she's braver than most), he announced he was going to GETTR.
I’m following your Parler account now, cat. You’re always welcome back, as I said. Sounds like you’ve accepted the narrative about us, which is understandable, but disappointing.
Amy, I haven't been back to Parler since the attack, and it was such a horrendous interface that the attack was actually welcome to me, I'm sorry to have to tell you.
And yeah, you shouldn’t welcome a takedown like that, for anyone. It was a clear attempt to deplatform competing viewpoints—and in the case of Twitter, a business competitor. (Amazon had signed a hosting contract with Twitter weeks before the takedown.)
"Gab is a First Amendment company which means we tolerate “offensive” but legal speech.
"We believe that a moderation policy which adheres to the First Amendment, thereby permitting offensive content to rise to the surface, is a valuable and necessary utility to society.
"It allows unorthodox but correct views, such as the Wuhan Lab Origin Theory that was banned on Twitter and YouTube but permitted on Gab, to propagate.
"It allows hateful ideas, such as anti-White CRT, to be exposed and subject to scrutiny and challenge. It also allows Americans, and others around the world, to enjoy the full measure of their human right to speak freely online.
"Supporting the mission of freedom online means having the stomach to accept that people will say “edgy and offensive” things."
Suspended from GETTR so far, on a 2-minute search:
- Roger Stone (the real one)
- Nick Fuentes (I listened to a speech he gave once, and he reminded me of 1990s Pat Buchanan)
- The word 'groyper' (and I don't even know what it signifies, but otoh I don't care, really)
"“The user in question violated GETTR’s clearly defined terms of use and has been suspended from the platform,” a Gettr spokesperson told The Daily Beast on Tuesday morning following the suspension.
"Yet that move by the platform left Fuentes, fellow far-right allies, and his loyal white nationalist “groyper” fans fuming and spamming Miller’s forum. On Thursday night, Gettr started to block users from posting the word “groyper,” which originates from a variation of the Pepe the Frog meme with extremely racist undertones."" *
Add to all that that the GETTR Comms Director celebrated Biden's win, and . . . good luck with GETTR, y'all.
"'Democracy Wins': GETTR Comms Director Celebrated Biden Victory on Jan 6"
Shared by Andrew Torba on Gab, and commented on by Ashley Rae @Communism_Kills:
"Holy cow. These tweets in this article are from 2021. This woman didn't just go from being a NeverTrumper to being a part of Con Inc while they begrudgingly embraced Trump, she was actively anti-conservative in 2021!
"Why do these people get promoted so quickly and get such high ranking jobs so quickly? Besides someone trying to hire "Ebony" thinking she's black, of course."
Paper. Broadside posters (take a Gato meme, print it and staple it to a telephone pole. See what happens). Cursive (the new Navajo code breaker). Typewriters. Smoke signals. One on one , face to face conversation. Reputation. Track record. Non digital photography. Printed books. Manual transmissions, carburetors and distributors. Metal money. Why is there not a phone with an instant, easy chip removal feature? I am not a Luddite. Give some thought to how you would communicate something important without being monitored and recorded. Siri? Alexa? You’re with us, right?
My friends at university used to buy old typewriters in Goodwills and send the keys to Eastern Europe to be subbed in over there so samizdat could not be traced...this communication problem we have now cannot be solved on the internet. For only short while did the many get to talk to each other. Now we are back to the few talking to the many, except many exits have been blocked...You think theses stacks are not being watched and triangulated?
We all need to leave Twitter. I already did last year. Leave it. We all need to stop giving those commies money and audience via the conservative journalists that keep pushing that cesspool in their articles. Gettr is where its happening. I liked Parler but the overlords did that in. Gettr isnt even as good but that is where the exodus is going.
It is the most obnoxious and primitive site I've ever seen in the internet latrine.
Very limited number of words, extremely limited length of clips, no edit, limited number of blocked trolls, nothing ever works as it should. Embarrassing, even for the illiterate kid who managed to crop and patch such annoying software.
Always make sure you have a backup when you hit "post", there are 98% chances to lose everything in Miller's black hole. Very patronising and absolutely full of rubbish you cannot avoid.
But hey, it's your life. Do as you please. I just closed my account after 6 months of endless pain.
If you don't care for big bubbles but would rather have a frothy foam of tiny bubbles all coming and going, yeah go fedi. I've found it's basically the most censorious platform of all, which isn't really that surprising when you look into its roots. Maybe someday it will grow up.
Where the vital tweet type conversations will take place outside of the officially sanctioned hivemind has yet to be determined. It's great that team MAGA likes to hang out on Gettr or Parler, or that deplorables like Gab; but I never seem to see any real interactions taking place there.
Unfortunately if one agrees with the NPCmind why would one leave the comfortable echo chamber of Twitter.
from what I’ve heard, it is intentionally a clone of twitter but with freedom. I joined and think it could be an interesting option if the freedom part lasts.
I like MeWe and Telegram, and got on gettr because of you being there - but I can't see how to view the timeline/who I've followed. And it makes me do captcha which is the worst thing ever. Still trying to figure out how to use it, though.
I just signed up for gettr and followed gato and they suggested i follow jair bolsonaro which is ... not my jam. I'll give it a try but I'm looking for a moderate land, not stolen election talk.
Reminder: no privately-owned social media platform is a "public square" of any kind, and they absolutely love rubes like you pretending that they are. It gives them fake legitimacy.

Yes, Gab is good too! I’m staying there too. Can’t hurt!
When President Harris sends her agents to Gab HQ to collect your doxx, Andrew Torba will hold the door open for them and bring coffee.
Could happen…but you have to take a stand sometime.
I do not think you have the measure of Torba.
Could you or anyone resist a state?
Locals, Telegram, Parler, Gab, Rumble, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, Nextdoor, Mumble, Discord... who has time for all that? I have people asking me to use all these apps.
[edit] Oh wait, I forgot Odysee and MeWe apparently.
And Minds...
Ha! I forgot. I have a Minds account.
Just hope it doesn't become only a MAGA home for refugees hoping for Trump to run again in 2024.
The real fight is authoritarianism vs freedom now. We all have more in common…if true love of this country in a person is real. IMHO
I think there may be enough of a mix that it won’t.
I disagree, of course. I guess time will tell.
I wanted to like Parler but it “feels”claustrophobic to me. It’s visual of course, but not what I was expecting or wanting. I’ve barely used it because navigating seems clumsy. I’ll give it another look.
Thanks, and feel free to leave feedback of whatever type, using the new(ish) Feedback feature on the left navigation menu.
Thank you!

It allows for substantive pull quotes from longer pieces, which is really tough to do on Twitter. (And thanks!)
Sorry but Parler's continual log-in requirements have turned me off to Parler.
are you still seeing that? we had way too much of it in the summer, when we were furiously rebuilding all the code, I agree. also spinners. but it should be much better now. let me know if you try again and run into problems, so I can alert the tech team.
IDK as I quit Parler after this. TY for getting back to me though.
I like gab.com

Reed Coverdale was just censored in GETTR after a test post.

I joined up to follow gato and others but this does not bode well.
Lol, and that's lame compared to what you either scroll by or block on Gab.
To say the least...

I liked the internet pre social media where everyone congregated on blogs and had great discussions in the comments sections.
They already have this. It’s called the Fediverse. Here are two servers where you can sign up. Or start your own!

Ki, what's your evidence that Gab is 'failing?'
You will be waiting a long time for a response, and if it comes it will be something about antisemeticism and/or rayssist.
That is Parler, in a nutshell.
Time will tell. (I work for Parler.)
Just set up an account and looked for you there yesterday... so excited Ethical Skeptic is there too! You guys were the first cats in the cool barn in Ye Auld April of Twenty.
Same with me!
Cats and truth. Yep, pretty much the most important things in life 🐈🧠
Glad you’re staying on Substack. You’ve built a great community here. I’m already overwhelmed by the Substack writers I read, so probably won’t follow you there…Glad you’re checking it out.
im wary of it, even more so after reading Jordan Schachtel's posts last night; https://twitter.com/JordanSchachtel/status/1477819325247590401?s=20
J. Michael Waller, whose post it really is, is on Gab. So is former Biden donor Dr. Robert Malone. And Dr. Kulldorff. And Steve Kirsch. So, a lot of 'right-wing crazies,' lol.
Interesting. But really, in 2022 I would not expect ANY platform to be fully trustworthy unless you own it yourself.
Go to Gab
Yikes! Good to know ...
I wish you would post on Gab. Gettr is pretty weak and there are a lot of interesting people on Gab. It is like the unrestricted lane on the autobahn. Dr. Malone has an account there.
i tried gab and found it to be too narrow and too much of an echo chamber for me.
the only real reason to be on sites like that is for the interaction, and the most useful interaction comes from a plurality of viewpoints.
Gab has a reputation for being based and Christian. I do not know where your claim comes from.
Really, look at the groups on Gab. Something for everyone, and most of it *isn't* political.
Gab is invested with MAGA/TRUMP4Life refugees.
Have you tried Telegram? I’m tempted to join solely for the Mike Yeadon/Cory Morningstar/Robin Monotti channel:
https://t.me/s/robinmg
I don’t have time for anything outside of Substack so will continue to resist, but for those who are interested, I hear Telegram’s excellent.
All I needed was more to read!
😆
Telegram is technically head and shoulders above most of its competitors. It's also pretty good about free speech. But it's not particularly web-based, it's a messaging app that has grown to support very large channels. I like it, but I wouldn't think of it as a Twitter replacement.
Bobby Rajesh Malhotra from Twitter say:
GETTR is literally hosted by Amazon Cloudservices subsidiaries .
Google ReCAPTCHA implemented
GETTR = CIA honeypot
Some people saying they are having trouble deleting the app.
This is just what I'm hearing...lots of GETTR promos so let's not let our curiosity get the best of us feline friends.
Always have other platforms as backups - Telegram is best; Gab.
There is no such thing as privacy if you are using an electronic device, especially that tracking device aka the mobile phone.
Wait and see
You may want to research the ownership and platform that supports this site.
Don’t care for GETTR. Prefer the freedom of GAB.
Gettr has been in the news lately and I no longer recommend it. There are connections to China. A better choice is Gab.
https://www.politico.com/news/2021/07/01/maga-app-bannon-chinese-billionaire-497767
but the chinese guy is in exile and his commie country wants to jail him for "corruption". apparently then the feds went looking for mr. bannon they found him on Ghou's yatch...hmmm.
Parler
glad to see you on Gettr - I just joined also!
I'm sorry you work a job that forces you to interact with that vile shit. Hopefully life improves for you soon!
also here I go replying to myself lol - gab is a dark place.
😭 (I work for Parler)
I wasn't *hoping* for it, but suffering through reading and posting on it (which should indicate my support; I was *on* it) simply made it a relief.
Well, we’re back, and traffic is steadily growing, so let me know if you have an issue accessing your account (if you decide to try again).
New CEO, entirely rebuilt, stack, code base, everything. 🤷🏻♀️
Investors?
Awesome! I joined yesterday and I was looking for you!
"Gettr CEO Promotes Face Masks in Public, Quarantines, Travel Restrictions to Stop COVID"
https://www.dailyveracity.com/2022/01/06/gettr-ceo-promotes-face-masks-in-public-quarantines-travel-restrictions-to-stop-covid/
- Andrew Torba ✝️ (PRO) @a
July 1, 2021
* Daily Beast article

Gab is more "independent" - except it is only funded by users, thus there is an ongoing viability issue.
Did you read about GETTR’s founder having received funding from a CCP member? Gives me pause.
We all need to leave Twitter. I already did last year. Leave it. We all need to stop giving those commies money and audience via the conservative journalists that keep pushing that cesspool in their articles. Gettr is where its happening. I liked Parler but the overlords did that in. Gettr isnt even as good but that is where the exodus is going.
prefer gab.com which doesn't censor and kiss the ring of bigtek/bigbank/bigpharma
☎
It is the most obnoxious and primitive site I've ever seen in the internet latrine.
Very limited number of words, extremely limited length of clips, no edit, limited number of blocked trolls, nothing ever works as it should. Embarrassing, even for the illiterate kid who managed to crop and patch such annoying software.
Always make sure you have a backup when you hit "post", there are 98% chances to lose everything in Miller's black hole. Very patronising and absolutely full of rubbish you cannot avoid.
But hey, it's your life. Do as you please. I just closed my account after 6 months of endless pain.
Awesome! Would love to see you on GAB also.
Gato is/was on Gab, but stopped posting a while ago.
Try the Fediverse; it’s the only social media “platform” that’s not a walled garden.
https://mstdn.io
https://cawfee.club

There is no such thing as a vital tweet-type conversation. Nothing "tweet-type" is ever even remotely important.
Love your work!
Is Gettr essentially Twitter? It looks to be a literal clone of the platform but with different management?
still learning.
not sure yet.
from what I’ve heard, it is intentionally a clone of twitter but with freedom. I joined and think it could be an interesting option if the freedom part lasts.
Followed!
Since you're gonna be using more Internet services, may I suggest a Cat 5 Satellite Connection?
https://photos.app.goo.gl/3S5VUJWXiyHUG7KT6
Watch out for GETTR. It is nearly as bad as Twitter. https://talkliberation.substack.com/p/gettr-app-report?
Bettr on Gettr? Ask Nicholas Fuentes for references.
I like MeWe and Telegram, and got on gettr because of you being there - but I can't see how to view the timeline/who I've followed. And it makes me do captcha which is the worst thing ever. Still trying to figure out how to use it, though.
Not sure what to make of GETTR, especially if Trump's own "Truth" platform launches soon?
If I were you, el pusso, I would simply dump my Subs on GETTR. Time is galleons; and "they" want to keep us distracted.
Heh, cats take over Gettr...I'm on it as of today. Mreow!
Best news I've heard all DAY! :)
I'd like someone to explain to me why this is better than Minds.com, which is open-source, bi-partisan, crypto-enabled, and deplatform-proof.
I don't care at all about "better than", myself. The future is definitely multiplatform.
I have an account on Gettr but wasn't using it - you just made it all the more interesting!
I just signed up for gettr and followed gato and they suggested i follow jair bolsonaro which is ... not my jam. I'll give it a try but I'm looking for a moderate land, not stolen election talk.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼
Thoughts on this re GETTR? https://twitter.com/jmichaelwaller/status/1411351785437007879?s=21
So many social media platforms upon which to waste time. So little to show for it, but still, I do it. See you on there!
Reminder: no privately-owned social media platform is a "public square" of any kind, and they absolutely love rubes like you pretending that they are. It gives them fake legitimacy.
