Husband sick with fever and body aches. 10 year old woke up with low grade fever, body aches and headache today. I’m better after a day and a half nebulizing hydrogen peroxide and saline. (We live in a pretty vaccinated county in central IL) I wish we would just stop testing and start staying home when they don’t feel well.
"I wish we would just stop testing and start staying home when they don’t feel well.". Like we used to do! We don't test here either. The tests are not reliable anyway, so what does a person do after getting a so-called"positive" test? Go home and be scared to death for a few weeks? We never used to do any of this madness and somehow, humans continued to survive for thousands of years. Totally agree with you Som.
Yes!! I’m not gonna lie, I’ve been hit hard with something. I’m not one to run to the doctor, but I got shingles 2 weeks ago (a bad case apparently), then I got mastitis (breastfeeding an infant), then I got maybe covid? I’ve had a fever for 11 of the past 15 days. I was getting concerned, I have 5 kids and didn’t want my lack of medical care to leave my kids momless. (I have been doing lots of course - herbals, acupuncture, vitamins, etc - I’m not ignoring) I considered going to urgent care just to make sure I’m ok, but knew all they would do is want to covid test me and send me home. Well what’s the point? Our “health care” system is in shambles, which is why I just call it sick care. They aren’t interested in us being healthy. And I don’t necessarily mean the doctors - I think they do what they are trained to do. I mean the people that have trained them.
Suggest you take 10 days of levofloxacin 750 followed by 5 days of 4mg prednisone. Fluvoxomine too. Check out the FLCCC protocol..you need to see a literate doctor. Some will do zoom calls.
Yes, I agree. If you go to urgent care, tell them of your history the past three weeks. I am certain they will pump you up with some antibiotics and prednisone. You need it.
If they do not offer it to you, please ask. Tell them you need treatment. You have 5 kiddos and a house hold to keep afloat
I had a similar experience. Was asked if I wanted a test. Nope. Explained my symptoms. Said I have lupus and generally needed a round of pred to clear things up. I received antibiotics and pred. Continued my regular zinc, D3, etc and H2O2. It cleared up in a couple of days. I did not use my stash of ivermectin. I have now replenished that.
I had a fever for 5 days with shingles, fever cleared for 4 days, then the past 6 days had a fever with mastitis then covid. I’m on antibiotics (day 3) for mastitis. Temp is under 99 now. I think I’m getting better. I have been concerned and watching it; I appreciate your concern as well :)
Are you in touch with a knowledgeable doc who understands covid? Some just prescribe but others have telemedicine appointments or email conversations and could help you make sense of your symptoms ... Wishing you healing!
Many run straight to the hospital since thanks to mainstream media, they see it as an automatic death sentence. They missed the part about 99.99+% recovery rate and variants like a cold now. They truly believe they have a better than 50% chance of dying upon diagnosis. The “people” are ironically our biggest hurdle.
Sounds like covid. We avoided the drs when we became ill but decided to home test. All positive and we had varied symptoms - which made it confusing except we did fall ill one after the other. It was actually good to know we survived the “winter of death” and our loved ones who were concerned about our vax status/age were relieved. Most friends and family are no longer avoiding us and also saw first hand that covid is not a death sentence. It’s definitely perplexing to them how we got away with flu like/cold symptoms. Making them think. Some still think we are carriers/unsafe/to be avoided but we avoid them to, moved on. So home testing isn’t such a bad idea.
Yes. People being harmed by a toxic ingredient used to mix. That is crazy. Nobody should be doing these tests. Calls to CDC for health issued concerning these tests. They are as useless as PCR. Can you imagine Young Adults having ' Covid Parties'and drinking while using these things? Not folliwing instructions. I'm serious too.
Yep, the docs say assume covid and treat. But there are also saliva tests, although not as readily available. If any of this covid response was done with respect for human dignity, there would have been saliva tests all along. But of course, it's done with the opposite of respect for human dignity ..
Not a doctor, but my experience with Vit I (horse paste, b/c otherwise not available in my area) has been great. I wouldn't risk "long COVID" or any of the other potential issues it and its nasty little spike can subject us to, if we aren't proactive.
In my mind the benefit of testing if I become sick is so I know to start ivermectin asap which work on RNA viruses (Covid) and not necessarily on a cold or flu.
(Plus, my work has a separate "covid pay" specifically if you have an infection.)
Nebulizers are relatively inexpensive, significantly less than urgent care visit. I have asthma so repurposed. Mercola has a protocol. Many different opinions. I used 1.5% in plain old filtered water.
I use a nebulizer. About 75$ on Amazon. ( I know, hate giving my money to them but it's cheaper). You can get a baby bulb ( snot sucker). FLCCC recommends saline( I use 2 to 3 packets) and about a 1/4 teaspoon Povidone Iodine mixed. Snort up your nose til it hits thtoat and spit out. FLCCC had vids on rumble and Odyssey.
? buy at home tests from Walmart, Walgreens, CVS etc? Only if you really wanna know. If you lose your smell/taste for 4-5 days you'll know for sure. I'm very healthy, 50s, had omicron in January. The body aches were more than moderate, low fever, bad headache, sore throat 3 days then the taste/smell was GONE. (It's not like when you have a stuffy nose and can't smell. It's completely different. It's sooooo weird.)
1 week to get thru the cold/flu symptoms, then 1 week to get over the fatigue, which was not too severe. I just needed a 15min nap every afternoon.
We really wanted to know. We are older and had off label medications to start ASAP. Probably didn’t need them but the variant was new and our teledoc didn’t want to take chances with us. We used Abbott BinaxNow.
Yes I don’t believe this is ‘just a cold’ for many. Someone close to my family-who is double jabbed but I’m unsure if they have been boosted- has had fever of 102 for several days. I advised nasal irritation and mouthwash but was reluctant to give too much advice since I don’t know how they feel about alternatives. Their unvax child symptom free.

hope you all are better soon! it's not that COVID doesn't exist. it's that the shots DO NOT WORK and probably hurt. so sad.
I feel almost back to normal. :) have been prepared for a long time for what we would do so was an easy battle to win

If you are in Northern Virginia, let me know. My doc is treating with the FLCCC protocol
That fever for 11 days doesn’t sound right. Maybe mastitis didn’t clear? I’d get some help.,

You nailed it. Hang in there.

I’ve read the home tests have some not so great ingredients I would rather avoid. Just assuming it’s covid & treating as such.

I did the same with HP and saline. Works like a charm.
Can you describe what you did with HP and saline? I see nebulizing listed above but what if you don’t have a nebulizer? Any alternatives?

This^. Also mix up a little extra and gargle with it after the nasal flush. This is mostly a preventative therapy, though.
