the new narrative that i just learned about yesterday has always been the narrative!
far more dangerous than conspiracy theorists are complicity theorists.
such people provide the backbone of domination by demagogue by uncritically accepting, absorbing, and parroting the party line du jour and weaving it into their identities and personae to curry status and signal virtue.
they are the lemmings who stampede you off of cliff after cliff and then demand that you thank them for it.
they comprise the essence of the AGITARIAT, the class of endlessly aggravated and aggressive automaton NPC’s who live in a state of constantly vibrating aversive arousal.
and they are always, always, looking for the new new thing.
covid runs down, and war springs to take its place. but it’s the same people, the same agitation, and the same desperate need to underpin a sense of self by invoking moral superiority from hectoring others in times of crisis.
this energy and need cannot be destroyed, only transferred. it will always find somewhere to express itself.
look closely at the timing. it’s not that ukraine supplanted covid. it’s that covid attenuated sufficiently that some new meme could emerge and take its place. these people have a slot in their heads marked “current thing to be furious and tell everyone what to do about to signal that i am a good person brimming with evangelical rectitude and fervor.”
and something is going to fill it..
and as ever, the moonbats of hollywood who struggle to tell acting from reality on the best of days are ready to lead the charge.
the whole rant is really something, especially from a guy who said nothing against wholesale taking of rights in the west for two years while shilling for the emergency orders that took them and who seems to lack a grounding in the history of the ukraine (and US intervention therein) that led to this mess.
it’s all a bit uncanny.
but they love this. they live for this. they can probably barely even remember what they were playing carnival barker for yesterday.
it’s just this revved up to witch hunt fervor with the absurdist zeal of the newly converted. 3 weeks ago, 95% of these people could not find ukraine on a map or name a single politician there.
and this gets used to push agenda.
suddenly, the US is all about “energy independence!” but no, not really.
we cannot have fracking or federal leases or pipelines or nuclear, because those actually work.
the US could easily be not just self sufficient, but a huge exporter of energy.
instead we get a crony cornucopia of green-grifter projects in solar and wind that will make it worse because they destabilize power grids.
none of this is real. it’s a puppet show.
we need to ban russian imports!
and replace them with imports from one of the few regimes on earth that is unambiguously worse and has run pogroms upon and starved its own people while stealing elections and censoring and murdering dissenters! cuz, uh, morality and freedom! (apparently, we’re speaking to iran as well. natch.)
there is no ethics or even sense here, just grifting and pretext.

we’re going to get run through wringer after wringer like this and wagged like dogs attached to jackhammers by this endless cavalcade of agitation dependent useful idiots until we get a handle on “stampede on demand” credulous class.

We'll talk tough but the simple fact is that Americans won't stand for paying EVEN MORE at the pump because of Ukraine. Thus, we continue to buy oil from Russia while shittalking them.

The media: Way ahead of you
