Why stop at 3X? I heard from another guy that we are a GORILLION TIMES more likely to be dead from Omicoof than any other illness. In fact, many of us are already dead, we just don't know it because they haven't released the PCR test for dead yet.

"On most planes, the air exchange rate is approximately every three minutes and 75% comes from outside the plane, meaning that only 25% of cabin air is recirculated."

Next, Bloomberg reports '"former FAA chief regional officer recommends wider flight path separation so planes avoid intaking recirculated air, while also masking planes".

I don't fly now, *not* because of fear of catching *anything*. But because I don't want to wear face diapers, get tested, get shots etc for the "privilege" of traveling. I'll never forget flying to Germany in 1981 when more than half of the flight was filled with smokers (including myself at the time). You could cut the air with a knife. LOL. People on that flight probably had more damage done by secondhand smoke than by any kind of "germ", "virus" or bacteria on board. And, we didn't care. Everyone on the flight was there because they *wanted to be* and we were willing to decide for ourselves what risk we wanted to take. What a "novel" concept... letting people decide for themselves? Why, that's just crazy talk.

My neighbor is ex-Navy and his son is current Navy (both father and son pilots). My neighbor shared that the US military did their own testing in civilian and military aircraft in spring 2020 to determine if COVID transmission was going to occur in planes (because of all organizations, the military NEEDS to move people around the world) and they found zero transmission. And they began to move military personnel around the world. And no one got COVID. And we've been flying without transmission ever since. Because the air exchange per hour in the airplane is so high, the air flows downward (top of cabin to floor), and the HEPA filtration. This Bloomberg article is written by a moron for morons. If you aren't getting COVID on an airplane NOW, why would people suddenly start getting it with the emergence of Omicron? What a moron.

I honestly don't care whether airflow and filtration are great or not. The post 9/11 security theater made flying unattractive 20 years ago. The ever-shrinking seats in ever more crowded planes made it worse since then. Now pandemic theater has made it insufferable. If I can't drive to where I'm going, I'm not going.

I dunno, could be true. I went to the grocery store yesterday a mile form my home. Came home and forgot to get stamps so I had to go back.

Bloomberg would say I doubled my risk of dying in a fiery car crash.

Even if true this is a good thing. This is the natural vaccine we've been waiting for - highly transmissible xx times more than delta and simply the sniffles and a headache. Nature is superior to Pfizer and always will be. We should be throwing Omicron make-out parties in every city, but we live in a very fearful and ignorant world.

I transited the San Juan airport maskless this AM and nobody said boo - not at agriculture, not at bagcheck, not even the security checkpoint guy - until TSA Karens at the xray conveyor.

Been walking Baltimore airport maskless as well for 2 hours now. No Karens accosting me. Yet.

I can only imagine how much I’ve increased my Omicron risk. Someone call Bloomberg!

This is more of the groupthink being perpetuated by our health bureaucrats and the MSM that suck up to them. Not a lick of data in this Bloomberg article. What is the point to the article? Sell more first class seats? put the fear of god into people? or sell more papers?

When I worked on COVID outbreak investigations as part of the Department of Public Health I never saw a bonified airline outbreak that was referred to the CDC’s Division of Global Migration and Quarantine (DGMQ). We referred an occasional individual but that never turned into an outbreak. The amount of fear mongering by groupthink media is criminal.

The WSJ has a great editorial on how Fauci and Collins conspired to silence differing opinions on how to address the pandemic. This totalitarian approach must go. We just can not live in a monochromatic, myopic world.

There was that story of the democrats from Texas fleeing the state on a plane, they were all vaxxed and then about 6 of them tested positive. they made it sound like they transmitted it on the plane while drinking beers but I don't know if that is true. They may have gotten it some other way. Still, planes seem insanely safe. We are flying today in fact and I'll be wearing my mesh mask so I can breathe.

This whole time the words DOUBLED, TRIPLED etc have been used to sensationalize things. No one looks at base rates. Which are miniscule to start with. So the headlines remain 'technically' true but practically useless. Its like - you DOUBLE your chance of winning the lottery by buying two tickets, or QUADRUPLE with four - but the base rate was so low to begin with that it really doesn't make a difference. Of course-no one reads past DOUBLED.

Interesting that these stories attacking the airlines comes out shortly after the CEO of southwest questions the holy grail of mask usage. After seeing the foia emails from collins and Fauci it seems a little too convenient. They’ve also been floating out the trial balloon for vac mandates to fly domestically. This is an attempt to get more people on their side by pushing more fear and panic.
