Why stop at 3X? I heard from another guy that we are a GORILLION TIMES more likely to be dead from Omicoof than any other illness. In fact, many of us are already dead, we just don't know it because they haven't released the PCR test for dead yet.

Luckily I died a long time ago from Trump's first tax cuts so I can fly all I want now.

GORILLIAN!! LOVE IT! ironically enough, all of these rapid tests the BC govt has been holding in stores for WKTF how long, are ‘suddenly’ about to be released for public consumption, with some caveats, of course. i smell a fish, 🐈‍⬛

"On most planes, the air exchange rate is approximately every three minutes and 75% comes from outside the plane, meaning that only 25% of cabin air is recirculated."

Next, Bloomberg reports '"former FAA chief regional officer recommends wider flight path separation so planes avoid intaking recirculated air, while also masking planes".

Southwest says they *completely* change the cabin air every 2-3 minutes.

I don't fly now, *not* because of fear of catching *anything*. But because I don't want to wear face diapers, get tested, get shots etc for the "privilege" of traveling. I'll never forget flying to Germany in 1981 when more than half of the flight was filled with smokers (including myself at the time). You could cut the air with a knife. LOL. People on that flight probably had more damage done by secondhand smoke than by any kind of "germ", "virus" or bacteria on board. And, we didn't care. Everyone on the flight was there because they *wanted to be* and we were willing to decide for ourselves what risk we wanted to take. What a "novel" concept... letting people decide for themselves? Why, that's just crazy talk.

I don't fly because it's illegal to escape my country by air travel without being vaccinated because unvaccinated people leaving the country might increase the spread in the country

OMG! I might catch a cold if I fly on plane! But I'm with you Rob...I have already resigned myself to not traveling to Europe or traveling via transpo on which I am required to prove vaxx or wear a mask. I remember those days when every seat on a plane had a little ashtray. In fact, where I now in NorCal by Oregon border, up until a few years ago, the small planes out of our tiny airport still had ashtrays and the entire plane rattled like a tin can. I used to be one of those smokers too, but I am happy that I can go to a restuarant and not have to breath smoke while I eat...at least I USED to be able to go to a restuarant without being asked to "show my papers." Anyway, I find it very plausible that the entire pandemic is a scam, which makes Omicron another brick in the scam wall.

We've been watching Mad Med and it's crazy how everyone in the 60s just smoked everywhere. Not saying it's great, but it's a reminder of how much freedom we've lost.

We must be close in age due to flight experiences. Everyone is a pussy now. That’s it. I used to hitchhike all over Europe as an 18yr old cutie! I snuck on trains, slept in strangers beds, fell in love…. Sure it was risky but I LIVED, and now I can’t even go to a restaurant. Look at what this world has become and they say it’s our fault😢

My neighbor is ex-Navy and his son is current Navy (both father and son pilots). My neighbor shared that the US military did their own testing in civilian and military aircraft in spring 2020 to determine if COVID transmission was going to occur in planes (because of all organizations, the military NEEDS to move people around the world) and they found zero transmission. And they began to move military personnel around the world. And no one got COVID. And we've been flying without transmission ever since. Because the air exchange per hour in the airplane is so high, the air flows downward (top of cabin to floor), and the HEPA filtration. This Bloomberg article is written by a moron for morons. If you aren't getting COVID on an airplane NOW, why would people suddenly start getting it with the emergence of Omicron? What a moron.

Wait until they start the 50-cycle PCR for air travel only and tell me there is no transmission 😂

I honestly don't care whether airflow and filtration are great or not. The post 9/11 security theater made flying unattractive 20 years ago. The ever-shrinking seats in ever more crowded planes made it worse since then. Now pandemic theater has made it insufferable. If I can't drive to where I'm going, I'm not going.

I was opting for boats and trains most often before 2020 for this very reason, but now cars have become the only option. Too bad I live on an island.

The post-9/11 security theater actually increased my fears and I'm fairly certain that's the point. I know I'd end up on a no fly list of I had to deal with pandemic theater on top of that.

I dunno, could be true. I went to the grocery store yesterday a mile form my home. Came home and forgot to get stamps so I had to go back.

Bloomberg would say I doubled my risk of dying in a fiery car crash.

Expand full comment

Even if true this is a good thing. This is the natural vaccine we've been waiting for - highly transmissible xx times more than delta and simply the sniffles and a headache. Nature is superior to Pfizer and always will be. We should be throwing Omicron make-out parties in every city, but we live in a very fearful and ignorant world.

A few days ago, my nose ran for about an hour. It was the strangest thing. I don't know what triggered it and then it stopped. Maybe I was just experiencing my Omicron " natural vaccination". Who knows. Someday I will have my t-cell response tested. I may have had Covid back in January 2020. I've certainly had exposures since without coming down with anything.

Sounds like you have a common cold...but of course since we have had the bejesus scared out of us by the powers that should not be, any little sniffle has us running for a nose swab test. Life is being stolen from us slowly..it is boiling frog and Stockholm syndromes together. If we were not told every minute of every day about covid, covid covid, tests, tests, tests, cases and deaths and vaccines and boosters and variants to keep our minds on covid and fear, we would not know there was a pandemic...because there isn't. Do not let the light of reason fail us. All they want to do is rule you with fear.

This is more of the groupthink being perpetuated by our health bureaucrats and the MSM that suck up to them. Not a lick of data in this Bloomberg article. What is the point to the article? Sell more first class seats? put the fear of god into people? or sell more papers?

When I worked on COVID outbreak investigations as part of the Department of Public Health I never saw a bonified airline outbreak that was referred to the CDC’s Division of Global Migration and Quarantine (DGMQ). We referred an occasional individual but that never turned into an outbreak. The amount of fear mongering by groupthink media is criminal.

The WSJ has a great editorial on how Fauci and Collins conspired to silence differing opinions on how to address the pandemic. This totalitarian approach must go. We just can not live in a monochromatic, myopic world.

The Brownstone Institiute puts out great articles daily. All writers of the GBD helped found it. My favorite article this week was about 400 studies showing the pandemic mitigation was ineffective and caused harm while there are zero showing these mandates have been effective or resulted in positive outcomes.

They have an article they update that last I checked had 136 showing the superiority f natural immunity.

An article linking to the 150 studies showing no benefit from face masks, but harm caused.

These people are actual experts, yet morons would rather listen to hysterical 29-year-old "journalist" at NYT and WSJ (outside the opinion page) who can't properly perform 3rd grade math functions but are great at creating fear porn.

The Barrington Declaration was pretty much the pandemic response plan that taxpayers paid for in prior years. Then fauci and his acolytes decided to throw away the plan.

Expand full comment

This a point that I have not yet seen commented upon. Taxpayers around the world pay hefty salaries to experts too come up with response plans for anything and everything the can think up. But with Covid, as soon as it hit their countries shores, those plans were thrown out the window and these experts either ran screaming away from the task of implementing their plans or were drowned out from the panicked screaming of others.

Not only have most of the population not asked about these plans and following that why they were not followed, they discount them them when you bring up portions to debate certain measures that have been taken. I have used segments of a 2017 European flu pandemic response to argue against masks, completely ignored by the mask fetishist to give an example. Another would be the use of ventilators. Their use has long followed an established protocol that was immediately thrown out the window on the word of the Chinese government. Why? Why didn’t the public respond to these changes by asking “WTF are you idiots doing? Follow the established protocols we paid you to develop!” Fear? Ignorance?

There was that story of the democrats from Texas fleeing the state on a plane, they were all vaxxed and then about 6 of them tested positive. they made it sound like they transmitted it on the plane while drinking beers but I don't know if that is true. They may have gotten it some other way. Still, planes seem insanely safe. We are flying today in fact and I'll be wearing my mesh mask so I can breathe.

Expand full comment

Here is another situation that infuriates me. The incubation period of covid has long been established at 2 weeks. Yet, we have people claiming that a positive test result a day or two, far less than 2 weeks at any rate, after forgetting to wear a mask proves masks work. In this case that unmasked air travel spreads the disease.

Expand full comment

This whole time the words DOUBLED, TRIPLED etc have been used to sensationalize things. No one looks at base rates. Which are miniscule to start with. So the headlines remain 'technically' true but practically useless. Its like - you DOUBLE your chance of winning the lottery by buying two tickets, or QUADRUPLE with four - but the base rate was so low to begin with that it really doesn't make a difference. Of course-no one reads past DOUBLED.

Interesting that these stories attacking the airlines comes out shortly after the CEO of southwest questions the holy grail of mask usage. After seeing the foia emails from collins and Fauci it seems a little too convenient. They’ve also been floating out the trial balloon for vac mandates to fly domestically. This is an attempt to get more people on their side by pushing more fear and panic.
