I agree completely. Jesus warned Peter that he would deny Him three times before the cock crowed, and Peter failed miserably. We are human, frought to fail, largely because, IMHO, of two things: human ego, and our inability to distrust those we pay to provide us with truth. Skepticism is our best hand.

Our choices sometimes are difficult, especially when there is a lack of trust in God. For example, some people took the shots out of fear of losing their jobs and not being able to provide for their families and yes, then they villify the 'last man standing' as in your case for reminding them of their bad choice.

I remember reading about some kind of psychological test about a train wreck: your can chose to flip a switch and have a train derail causing the death of many or you can chose to not flip the switch and have the train colide with a school bus causing the death of many. What are you going to chose? Sometimes choices are difficult.

In the Bhagavad Gita, the ego (Arjuna) speaks with Christ or Highest Self (Krishna) right before a big inter-tribe war. His choice is impossible: either kill one lot of beloved tribe members, or let the other family members be killed by the first tribe by not fighting.

He breaks down in front of the choice.

It's too much.

Krishna (Christ) then explains to him a perspective that had alluded him, that little voice that so many (egos) don't want to hear.

Good book. Like the Good Book... :)
