That includes Hollywood, Disney, the like…STOP FEEDING their egos. Focus on family and friends. Be truthful in who you are but keep calm. The inaction to their poking will make them crazy and they will out themselves and overreact all the faster….stand strong out there!! I really do think people are tired of this and this time is different. We will come out the other end different but better for it. It will take sacrifice…but the fact we’ve battled back against psychological and spiritual warfare this far is pretty incredible!

Stop feeding egos and pocketbooks. Don’t go to their movies, their play lands or buy anything that caters to their disregard for you or your children. Starve the beasts.

It saddens me greatly as many hours of childhood was spent at Disneyland, less than an hour from my home. And the Wonderful World of Disney every Sunday night.

I’m so sorry! It must be hard being so close to it all. Hang in there. If it helps any, I was reading a post on Twitter about a Disney worker overjoyed about the unvaxxed finally being let go. She seemed to think life would get back to “normal” now—like the unvaxxed are perpetuating this “crisis”? how angry will those people be when they realize they’ve been had and this is all about power. Truth will out but it will take patience and perseverance on our part. Maybe we can be ready to take things back! 😎

I should have worded that better. My childhood home 😸. I escaped that congested madness 18 years ago to the heavenly rural countryside of Tennessee. The Disneyland of my adulthood is the surrounding mountains, the E ticket is hiking through the wonders there. With the stunning autumn we have had, it has been like walking through a painting.

I've heard vaxxed people saying stuff like this, too. They actually buy the media narrative that the unvaxxed are the source of all their problems. Maybe somebody needs to remind them that the Germans were sucked into believing that the Jews were all diseased and the source of all their problems, as well.

That sounds suspiciously like sorrow at the loss of a great man. You may need to dig a bit deeper. Disney was more... errrm... complicated, than his public persona made us all believe. You could start with his daughter.

Hollywood...people who in many cases barely graduated from high school and who have never done anything meaningful except play act at being someone else while saying the words that someone else wrote. People who live in multi-million dollar mansions, then drive a Prius to virtue signal about their concern for the environment, people who spend $10K a night on a hotel room, and yet we lesser folk are supposed to take anything they say seriously? I laugh at them, they are mostly morons.

In addition to his better known "War of the Worlds" or "Time Machine" stories, H.G. Wells wrote several short stories, with the typical dry-as-a-popcorn-fart British humour of his age. I've just finished "The Sad Story of a Dramatic Critic" (a.k.a. "The Obliterated Man"), circa 1895. It's a tragic-comic story of a writer who gets sandbagged into a career as a theatre critic. He unwittingly adopts the fake mannerisms of the actors he sees. This eventually costs him his romance and his other social connections. Despondent, he decides the only possible career for him is the stage. But even this is denied him; his boss won't let him quit. 🙂

I was hoping he would hold the line and veto any and all budgets, spending, increased deficits, pardon all the dissidents like assange and ulbricht and under no circunstances committ troops or bomb anyone. He did cut alot of regs but overall i think from a true conservative or libertarian perspective he was a complete failure.

What has surprised me is that many, many people seem to enjoy the elites having that status, and in fact seem to feel that some of the status accrues to themselves just by voting for and strongly supporting these elites. I was reading my neighborhood Nextdoor posts today, and a poor man objected to the fact that he was not allowed into a restaurant because he was unvaccinated. The replies used every mainstream narrative and cliché that exists to side with the restaurant, even though my city does not yet require vaccine passports. None of it made sense – it was on the level of “You have to wear a shirt and shoes too.” But underlying the replies was the unmistakable scent of a sense of superiority. I keep thinking of being on a conference call recently with some relatives as we discussed a family issue. A woman said without irony that she needed to watch the clock so that she didn’t miss Meghan Markle on TV that evening. I don’t follow the various Markle stories closely, so I’m not particularly for or against, but out of the corner of my eye she seems a bit vacuous to me, and also it seems she is beloved by certain women for marrying a super rich prince and complaining about it. I’m sure I’m getting the nuances wrong! But my relative had a flutter of excitement in her voice at the mere mention of Markle. Again, I’m not necessarily AGAINST Markle, but why the flutter in her voice? Why would one watch the clock so as not to miss Markle on TV? This is a relative who passionately believes in all the covid measures – vaccines and masks and lockdowns and contact tracing and on and on. I have seen that she just REALLY REALLY enjoys lording over me because she is vaccinated and I am not. She told me the other day that “some” believe me to be completely oblivious. SHE wore her mask outside when she was told to do so by her governor. This is all a long way of saying that I think what we are dealing with is not just an elite that exults in their elitehood, but also elite followers who exult in what they perceive as their relative eliteness over their unvaccinated inferiors. This whole debacle has given them society’s permission to unleash the snobs within themselves that they had previously kept on a leash, and for good reason.

Expand full comment

This is it, absolutely! There is a huge portion of society that are just hangers-on to this group of elites that they worship. The boot-licking is unbearable. My younger sister, sadly, is in this group. She proudly displays on her social media whatever the woke meme of the day is, thinking it makes her "one of them." The other day, she proudly displayed a photo of herself, her husband, and my handsome, healthy young nephew, all post-booster shot. I almost cried, knowing the risk that boy was just exposed to. Baby Sis is so anxious to be part of the clique, she wouldn't think twice about risking her son's life to show how much she supports them.

Expand full comment

Sadly but predictably, it seems every society always has a group or class that perceives itself to be far above the rest of their society. A need to feel "better than", a need to feel important? I don't know, but it seems pervasive throughout all cultures. Then these same people must feel some kind of guilt as they run around posturing as do-gooders for the less fortunate. Perhaps they all have inferiority complexes deep down. It's a curious thing.

I read following yesterday and it ties in perfectly to what your write:

"...most global predators have no strong ideological commitments. They are strictly driven by personal ambition and the acquisition of wealth and power. They are not patriotic toward any nation. They have no religion and most are agnostics or atheists, with many identifying themselves as humanists or transhumanists. Their ethics are relativist, situational and tailored to meeting their greater goals. This vastly limits their ability to take over the world because people who lack a strongly motivating ideology also lack COURAGE and the required determination to succeed or to DIE in their effort." It's clearly a case of the elite thinking and acting like they're exempt from most, perhaps all, of the laws they advocate or impose upon us Proles. It may not be a perfect comparison, but Nietzsche spoke of the divergent moralities of the nobility vs. the commoner. He called this master/slave morality. The noble or aristocrat lived by his own laws. The peons were generally below even his notice. Any misfortune they suffered, other than occasional punishment (whether by law or pure spite) might merely have been an oversight by the noble. An analogy is a man walking on the sidewalk. He may unwittingly step on many ants. He's not intentionally killing them; they are simply too small for him to bother with or even to notice their existence. Does that make sense? While it's not relevant here, the peons suffer "resentiment" (a different concept than "resentment") and create a "slave morality," which tends to be an inversion of the master's morality as an attempt to defend against the master's predations.

I was shocked at a little house party in South Dakota recently to hear someone say our state Should have locked down in the early days because we had so many more deaths than densely populated Connecticut. His data is wrong. His understanding of how viruses behave is wrong. His lack of knowledge about the fact that covid death outcomes don't differ between harsh lockdown states and light or no lockdown states, yet economic and other illnesses do differ greatly. And he lives on a farm where he would not have had to comply anyway.

90 to 95% of wildfires in California are human caused. Mostly unattended campfires (this happened near me recently), but also arson in a few cases. Lightning occasionally starts a big fire. And a lot of major fires in CA have been caused by high winds and electric wires getting knocked down. Due to elite environmentalism efforts to prevent cleanups and cutting down dead trees, our forests in CA have not been managed well, so they are tinder boxes whenever a fire gets started. It's people, not climate change.

The article does not state it is. The fires in Portugal are probably caused by BigTreeFarms, that cause the fires so they can plant the trees they want, not the ones the inhabitants of these places want.
