it's not just zoom. I'd argue that amazon prime and doordash did as much to keep the cathedral comfy in their personal lives as zoom did in their work lives

Doubt the cathedral would agree to your proposal, but it's a start. Those setting, and supporting the rules, need to feel pain

Dr. Sunetra Gupta called the concept of lockdowns, "a bourgeoisie luxury" back *last* March. Nothing has changed since then. Spoiler Alert: Your analysis is right on-point, again.

It became a show of virtue signaling. I can't tell how many people would say "stay at home" and have the groceries delivered, but who cares about the poor instacart dude buying your groceries (sometimes dropping that tomato on the floor and putting in the basket as I witnessed). Or the poor grocery worker, many were seniors, working at the supermarkets ? The many business closed, like my LO art school after 15 years? But we can never forget our California governor at the French laundry (without a mask, with other households) enjoying a nice entree and we, the people, having all the brioches...

Yep. Everybody had to stay home to make Karen feel safe, but also everybody had to work to keep Karen comfortable. This has been about Karen the whole time, but she calls you selfish if you don't go along.

It's worse than this, really. They told us asymptomatic transmission was the real threat...the reason for the lockdowns and masks and jabs. Asymptomatic infected people were walking around like weapons (probably Trump voters) killing grandmas. It wasn't true. They knew it wasn't true. They still persist with the lie. The question is why? What was the point of all of this?

For all their credentials and despite their high opinions of themselves...they're not very bright.

Today, Leana Wen had this exchange with Yamiche Alcindor on Twitter. I literally joined Twitter to respond...couldn't take it any longer. And I hate Twitter.

https://twitter.com/DrLeanaWen/status/1394666390242611203?fbclid=IwAR29esd3J6aA2d0n-iy2Kc7-LUdE9NfScEdFvOQQ31x_tiKdiUkzBRpYOAA

So, the CDC decided not to track all breakthrough infections because people with mild or asymptomatic infection don't have much virus and don't pose a threat? But you told us they were the enemy among us?

Let's not forget that people with moderate illness, even serious illness, don't always end up in hospital. And, since these "vaccines" are leaky, isn't at least possible that they will suppress symptoms in people with higher viral loads?

Clearly, they're trying to conceal the number of breakthroughs. Why? Is it bad for sales or something more sinister?

Over the weekend, Walensky was clear to differentiate between those who died from C19 and those who died with C19...but only if they've been "fully vaccinated". Wait...wut...aren't they all C19 deaths? Isn't that what you told us?

So, as I said in my comment below, using the CDC's own numbers and Walensky's "reasoning"...about 29,180 people have died from C19 during this pandemic.

And the Zoom class will still insist that lockdowns COULD have worked if we had only done them earlier or harder or better, without ever acknowledging that for most of the world, what they're demanding is literally impossible.

Covid has officially been a 1st-World pandemic. It’s has been only the wealthy nations which have tilted at the NPI windmill, and for their efforts they saw exactly zero benefit over those locales which were too occupied with putting food on the table to cease all activities for a year.

Fall 1968 the press cabal was limited and did not care for Nixon to have a ruined economy to use against LBJ.

1968 I was freshman in college, in dorm with dining halls etc. Cannot recall Hong Kong or Asian flu!!

2020, death very remote to most viewers of 24/7 propagandizing. 1968 every night at 6:30 we got body counts of my peers from the 3 networks. Cronkite was soon to declare Vietnam lost!

Now CDC keeps track of excess deaths updated weekly, most data subjective. US excess deaths were negative for past several years. Covidians have a made up horror story with no one asking "did we never expect negative excess deaths to be resolved?". US liberals expect and need to live forever in 2020.

2020 the GDP was easily traded for a few Grandmas saved. 1968, we had a hot economy and no one cared for Nixon beating LBJ, as we finished deploying ICBM's and sub launched nukes as nuclear doomsday machines.

The cold war had everyone contemplating those fire sirens at night being Civil Defense!

2020 everyone cared more about virtue signaling than the economy, election fairness and the well being of our kids.

The other difference is 1968 we boomers' parent ran the place, WW II was an experience that no one today can directly relate!

We were used to wakes and funerals in 1968.

I am such a fan boy and share everything you write onto 8 different sites. So glad you made this move after the Twitter ban. I do think 2 things are missing here. One, Orange Man Bad and the The Great Reset, I believe were the fuel to the media panic porn fire that put us in this anti freedom world. And that the partnerships between government, Big Tech & Big Media allowing small businesses and livelihoods to be destroyed while at the same time allowing the Amazons and Walmarts to thrive beyond reason, factor in to being able to lockdowns, closings, limits, curfews, et al NPIs and the zoom world.

Was thinking just this morning (admission: for all I know I read this from the bad cat & the idea is not mine):

If a policy maker in the future comes to us and says there is a global pandemic coming and we need to make policy so that it is easiest on 25-50 year old well educated, high income individuals and hardest on the elderly, children, and low income folks, would we just directly hand them the 20/21 blueprint? What would we change?

100% spot on... a lot of the response was based on what was possible to do, not what was correct to do. And doing nothing goes against the "you must do something" crowd, which got louder and louder last March.

Wing Ding is a CCP shill. And this entire year+ was driven by China.

28/ International COVID hysteria began two days later with a viral tweet by Eric Ding calling the coronavirus R0 'thermonuclear,' the first of many dubious tweets by the previously-unknown Ding, prompting a prominent colleague to call him a 'charlatan.'
