Did they fall for the mother lode of twaddle? Were they really afraid?

I watched an interview of Jay Battacharya a while back. When asked why so many in public health and medicine were behaving abnormally, he said he thought they were really afraid...almost as though it was the first time it occurred to him.

I don't think Fauci was afraid. I don't think Gates was afraid. Those thousand plus epidemiologists who penned the letter to The NY Times last summer justifying riots in the middle of the pandemic clearly weren't afraid. Gavin the vampire wasn't afraid as he ate his dinner at the French Laundry.

They weren't afraid, but they broke a lot of people. Some used the opportunity to virtue signal and lord it over others. Some went along because it was easier than fighting. There were people shot and killed over wearing/not wearing the mask in my area. It was nuts.

It was surreal to watch everything shut down. In early February, I called our son who was away at school and told him I thought his university might shut down before the semester ended. I felt like a lunatic at the time.

We really didn't know how bad it was or wasn't when the shut downs began. The scenes from Wuhan, Milan, and later NYC were alarming. It was reasonable to think it might happen everywhere, but then it didn't. Seriously, what really happened in those cities? Then, the riots started and went on for months. BLM and Antifa were burning and looting and rioting...and the media called them "mostly peaceful protestors". Midsummer the pandemic hit Texas and the Southeast and cases started to rise. The second wave. The election. January 6th. The "vaccine" rollout and the rush to inject everyone regardless of risk or need.

It may be easier to think of this past year and a half as an organic reaction to the pandemic and historic social problems. But, if you step back a bit and squint, it all seems very coordinated, especially when you recognize that this phenomenon...including some race-related protests/riots...was also seen in the UK, Canada and the Commonwealth nations, and in much of western Europe.

We've been continuously gaslighted since January 2020. Some will never recover, I'm afraid. But many of us are wide awake now, shaken from our stupor of complacency.

A Republic of the People, by the People, and for the People if we can keep it.

I believe we can, but it's going to be a long, hard fight. We took too much for granted for too long.
