This really makes as much sense as LeBron James tweeting out a threatening photo of the cop in Columbus who basically saved a young black woman's life (even if it was at the expense of her attacker, another young black woman) while months before lecturing us all on how we need to be more careful about how we talk about China so he doesn't lose his revenue stream in a country that literally practices genocide on a daily basis. You'd love to think you're living in some badly written Kurt Vonnegut knockoff, but, nope, this is our country and our world.

Gatito, definitely number 2. It encompasses all our non-stories of this world.

Give people a story, any story, scary (boohoo) - like now -, or whatever story, and they feel morally happy that they have expressed or actioned their righteous displeasure / pleasure about the story. They'll purr and go to bed and sleep soundly.

This way they don't need to think about the non-stories.

Outrageous. The UN has failed spectacularly time and again to live up to the high hopes with which it was founded.
