No need to quote any man where with the Scripture to quote from.

That statement is not true. He cuts no repentant child down. See John 3:16. And, of course, the Cross.

I want no one to be punished. I want them - all of us - to repent; cease and desist.

As a matter of interest, in your offline chats, how many unvaccinated have you met or known? Me? Effectively none! A 2-dose 68 yo man said I was the second unvaccinated person that he had met. He said "we agree to disagree!"

Gato, read the 1st comment in Igor Chudov's substack. Something similar happened to me with your substack!!!!

Phising (would be actually appropriate LOL) or some kind of attack.

Expand full comment

Yes. This happened to me on Gato's stack. But the area code was 786, not 909 as Igor reported.

Expand full comment

Me too. twice on my favorite cat's , and already once on a clif high substack. But suspicious minds do not call such numbers. EVER!

Then how do we find out if we have &10,000,000 in a Nigerian bank account?

Expand full comment

give up all hopes on these nigerian bank accounts. they are fake.

Expand full comment

Darn it! That money was going to pay for my next vacation!

Expand full comment

You and your Nigerian Ministers of the Exchequer. I have the real scoop on an Englishman who is currently a prisoner of the Holy Inquisition in Peru, and likely to be shipped back to Spain at any time! A mere bribe to the right corrupt official in the Colonial government will release him and he will give us the directions to find a hoard of Inca silver hidden by the supporters of Tupac Amaru who fled with 100 llama loads at the last battle!

I am not credulous enough to provide the money for the bribe, I am in charge of raising the funds for the expedition into the upper reaches of the Amazon

I thought that maybe they targeted me because I addressed my comment to El Gato. So the spammer thought I was expecting a response from him.

This also happened to me with a request to text back to a (786) number. Hope I haven’t been scammed.

Expand full comment

I don't think this was about money. It was about trying to get information about people who comment on Substacks. They asked me bizarre questions, and I immediately thought it was a scam, but they didn't want money. I have submitted a ticket to substack. Especially since people seem to still be getting this nonsense sent to them.

When I got the same number from gato and from Mark Crispin Miller, I knew it was a scam.

Sounding more like a hack of some sort. It may have been isolated to early February - was for me. Substack team may have patched the hole by now.

Expand full comment

Just got mine yesterday.

Expand full comment

Got one today from Naomi’s and yesterday from Gato.

Expand full comment

Happened to me on one El Gato post (on or about 2/4) and one Naomi Wolf post some days later, then not again. It is some social engineering ploy (would you buy gift cards for El Gato?). It probably does indicate some vulnerability in the Substack commenting tech - as the replies did fully look like they came from the author. Steve Kirsch shut down his comments for a few days last month alluding to that possibility. It may be fixed.

Expand full comment

Yup same here. Got it on naomi's substack, on a youtube channel for a music reviewer I like, and again on one of my other subscribed substacks. Of course, paranoid me does not call or txt numbers anyone wanting to talk has to leave a message or you know IDENTIFY themselves.... and even then, I'm cagey in the extreme.

Expand full comment

That is smart. This was just a new form of phishing that I had never heard of, or experienced. I thought it was little odd, but I figured if things got too weird I could just stop texting, and that is exactly what happened.

Expand full comment

Yes. It did look like the reply came from El Gato. They didn't try to get me to buy anything, just texted a few times. It was weird.

Testing, testing (NSA)?

mine also looked as if it came from el gato. I was momentarily flattered.

Hope you see this, Gato.

As we're getting closer to finalised data on nativity/births for 2022 (stated release date is May), the preliminary data was published the other day, in easy-access format.

This is the swedish language version, the english one is so sparse you could fit the text on a match-box:

[https://www.scb.se/hitta-statistik/statistik-efter-amne/befolkning/befolkningens-sammansattning/befolkningsstatistik/pong/statistiknyhet/befolkningsstatistik-helaret-2022/]

---

I tested translating it using Ctrl-A + the translator in my browser, seems to generate legible enough english. In short, it looks very much as we feared (and hoped wasn't): nativity is dropping.

Machine-translated sample quote:

"The total fertility rate decreased in 2022 to 1,521 children per 1,000 women."

Our "experts" claim this is due to Covid, Russia, war, climate change, inflation (13% and rising), et cetera. That the drop correlates with the mRNA-roll out, just as in every other nation?

"Sound of silence"
