That 1st tweet from "@WorldHlthOrg" is a parody account... Although it is getting harder to tell these days.

The seamlessness with which parody passes for reality is the most profound statement possible on the nature of clown world.

indeed, that might be said to be its fundamental defining property:

"without knowledge of a speaker's priors, no sufficiently woke statement can be discerned from parody."

A list of axioms is necessary, similar to the Three Laws of Thermodynamics, but with even more universal applicability.

I nominate this as the First:

the woke line is just a derivation of poe's law:

What If:

One hundred more suddenly started paying cash, for EVERYTHING?

What If: Half of us chose Herbalism, Chiropractic, TCM, or Homeopathy for our health issues?

Grew Victory Gardens?

Boycotted all Corporate Big Box Stores?

Canceled most mega-corporations running this catastrophe?

(Just look at the pyramid beneath Blackrock, Vanguard and State Street )

And, spent our time digging into Governmental and Corporate Malfeasance instead of being "entertained," and "educated" our sitting representatives of their responsibilities, instead?

I know it's not fully possible for many, but, what if those of us who could DID take all of the above actions that are feasible for us??

A "Brave New World" overnight. Ours. (Not the one Klaus and Bill have been dreaming of, lol!)

Money shifts to where the consumer is at. Fact.

We want actual sustainability and equity. Not the slave system Davos and it's "Demons" have been rolling out......and we can create it.

Starve em out, I say. It may be the only way....

And build the world we want to live in;

A Better Way.

You think the people with trillions of dollars at their disposal can be economically waited out until they come to their senses? The people at Davos do not need industry as they have access to specialized everything from servants, to tradespeople, to farmers, to medical specialists on call 24/7 and so on and so on. They will never change because it is the right thing to do for the whole of humanity. They will not change because it would be good for the masses. They will only change or give up or get out of the way of everybody else when they are physically forced to do so because after all, they don't have to.

This is precisely why Joe Biden got on the television last night and pushed, again, for gun confiscation in the US. This globally political message while the blood of children in Uvalde, TX is not even dry. When guns are illegal in the US you can expect so many dictates as to how, where, when and to what extent you can do just about anything in life that your stomachs will turn in disgust, your minds will twitch with remorse, and you will wonder why you were even born. To be forced to live at the behest of anyone else, never mind a mentally disabled person pretending to run the US. or a group of uber rich psychopaths, is against human nature. It is the individual that enables the whole of humanity to succeed, and to thrive. Money is a tool not a divine grantor of rulership. I have no desire to live as surplus parts or slave labor for a few of my fellow humans who have no greater authority to live free than anyone else.

So go ahead and drop out of the civilization we built if you really want to but notice how weak you become while they watch, and your voluntary demise saves them their resources.

You fight when you are strong not when you are weak.

The reason this won't end without ... is because of the tree falling in the forest metaphor. [Edit: is it a metaphor? Or an allegory? Whatever it is, it applies.]

No matter WHAT the WEF does, if the alphabet legacy media don't report it fairly, honestly, and robustly, the People will not know about it until they're already subjugated (if even then; if they're smart enough to realize it even then).

An informed citizenry is necessary for self-governance; the lack of an informed citizenry leads to tyranny, and 2A was written in part *because* and uninformed citizenry leads to tyranny.

We Substackers (indy journos and subscribers) are not numerous enough to stop the inexorable slide toward worldwide tyranny, IMO.

The means of communication with the greatest reach and with a significant majority of people in its grasp is the print and electronic media. And those media are not on the side of freedom or liberty.

I'd like to see laid out a plausible, achievable scenario in which armed conflict is *not* necessary to stop the runaway tyranny train. I may not have a sophisticated enough political imagination to conceive of a peaceful, political solution to what's being done to America, and what has been done to America for at least 2 decades.

For example, the Patriot Act has been around for > 20 years now. Does anyone seriously see it being repealed by a Congress and being signed by a president?

The Homeland Security Act was enacted 20 years ago and DHS now has a quarter-million employees. Does anyone seriously see it being dissolved by a Congress and a president?

So why has everybody including Dore, Bannon, Tiabbi, Greenwald, ..., most everyone in the opposition, left & right, memory holed the 9/11 False Flag event? If people had dug their heels into the ground and forced to front & center the fact that it was flatly impossible for 9/11 to have occurred other than by a sophisticated government run operation. They were given a free pass on that and the consequences of that failure are rippling down to current events.

I was dating an Iranian immigrant in college that year and his abject horror at what was happening culturally really opened my eyes to how ridiculous Americans can be. Politically I did everything I could to oppose the patriot act etc. To no avail. I would also prefer a non-armed approach to restoring our constitutional republic.

A legal defense may result in enough time for the truth to get around the country.

What if these and any other non-armed approaches fail? Just walk away? To where? Do you just give up on individual freedom or do you also prepare for the armed version of conflict as well as the legal approach. I am willing, as we all have been, to live under the rule of law. But I don't want to live under the rule of other people who have no right to run my life or anyone else's life.

What people need to do right now is wake up the population. Neighbors, friends, relatives, co-workers, anyone & everyone, convince them and don't let up. Work them from every angle, find the one that breaks them, the red pill. Covid, 9/11, vaccines, phony wars, Davos, WHO the works. When most everyone no longer believes in the system, then we can bring it down. People need to get involved in local organizations, they were and are corrupted by big money fed to the local level and all the way to the top by the Davos Bankster Psychos. I understand your point, Allie587, but the minute we let them get inside our heads and prevent us from whimsically exercising humor and our freedom of speech is the minute the Thought Police win. Self-enforced censorship is what the MSM and all colluders with tyranny have been practicing to our detriment for decades. If the perpetrators of tyranny cannot distinguish the difference between a legitimate threat and the preposterously comedic scenario that has unfolded here, then that is their problem, not ours. I am an ardent defender of freedom of speech. But one can express opinions strongly and forcefully without making jokes about killing your political opponents. To me that crosses a line, and I feel uncomfortable being on a comment board that engages in this kind of rhetoric.

BTW, I would feel that way no matter what the political orientation of the speakers and target were. I would not want to be on a left-oriented comment board that joked about roasting and eating Tucker Carlson either.

And to be clear - I would be uncomfortable with this even if we were not currently in a repressive climate. The repressive climate just makes it more dangerous.

Expand full comment

No one is talking about killing anyone. This is just a bit of culinary humor. It wouldn’t bother me if someone said these things about Tucker—or about me, for that matter. There is a clear difference between malicious intent and creatively letting off steam. You can skip over anything that bothers you. This is the beauty of a free marketplace.

That said, this is el gato’s space, so if he feels it’s inappropriate, it’s his prerogative to say so and lay down rules accordingly. His space, his call, but self-censoring humor out of fear is the path to totalitarianism, in my mind.

It's not just out of fear - it's also out of morality. I don't want to be part of a group that is joking about murdering people, no matter how awful those people may be,

And how is choosing not to discuss murdering people "a path to totalitarianism"? That makes no sense to me whatsoever.

Anger is natural. Voicing strong opinions and expressing anger are fine. But to me ginning up hatred and calls for violence crosses a line - this is toxic and not something I want to be a part of.
