The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater.

We Substackers (indy journos and subscribers) are not numerous enough to stop the inexorable slide toward worldwide tyranny, IMO.
The means of communication with the greatest reach and with a significant majority of people in its grasp is the print and electronic media. And those media are not on the side of freedom or liberty.
While Klaus had his WEF Gesatpo "police" harrass a journalist from Turning Point USA at gunpoint yesterday. It's odd that the NYT hasn't written a piece on this "police" harassment since they have so many of their worker's attending the event.
Anyone who's spent time reading dystopian science fiction novels knows exactly where this is headed. I always thought those novels were fiction not prophecy. Silly me.
