The WEF was based on the Club of Rome and follows the thinking of Thomas Malthus (malthusians) who wrote a paper outlining their belief:
- that the earth has limited resources, e.g. energy and that once the resources run out, we're done. they have to manage this so that their lifestyles are not impacted.
- they therefore want 'us' poor, less populous and controlled so that we cannot compete with them for the earth's limited resources. thus, inflation by design and control of our lives.
- capitalism (a la Milton Friedman) offers innovation and competition as a way to solve the problem of limited resources, something that the Davos elites/malthusians don't accept.

The video ends with a clip of Milton Friedman's speech to (I think) the Club of Rome) somewhat mocking their 'limited resources' paper. His point is that capitalism has always found a solution and sorted things out. I tend to agree. Human ingenuity truly has no bounds, it only requires some space. I tend to be optimistic. I've become a fan of Jordan Peterson as well. He's stated many times that 'no one EVER gets away with anything'. He's very adamant about this and says he has seen this 100% in his practice.
We shall see. Just do what you can and don't loose hope, have faith in God the source of ALL good solutions!
I'm 65, I know what you mean. I still believe what Dr. Peterson said to be true. First of all, when people have problems they will turn to a therapist or psychologist not to you or me. He'll see more than we will. Secondly, none of us really know what happens to someone else, especially internally. It may be that people get away with crimes, sins etc. from a legal perspective but they as a person will suffer one way or another. It is very true that hatred, malice, revenge burns a person up inside, literally. Lastly, I've learned in my own life to not judge God: in a way, having knowledge of someone paying for their misdeeds or not is analogous in some sense.
For the time being, I try to focus on the fact that I am well, despite hardships I may have endured. I try to focus on the fact that I HAVE endured, I haven't been defeated...not yet anyway. And I try not to be fearful/worried about tomorrow. Sometimes I'm successful in that!
But that does not stop them from doing what they do nor absolve us of our responsibility to protect ourselves by holding them accountable. I do find solace knowing that ultimately they must answer to God for what they have dome and continue to do. Meanwhile, at the moment I am o the train to work, the only unmasked passenger and receiving eye thrown daggers from the other passengers and my son is happily wearing his mask for ten hours today.
Our mask mandate was dropped around Mar. 21 but I stopped wearing mine on Mar. 1 when other mandates were dropped. The first time I went to the grocery store sans mask I was actually scared and I was the only one without a mask. But it was fine, I avoided eye contact, but the next time was easier. When I was scared, I reminded myself of people at war fighting to defend themselves and that thought embarrassed me into bravery.
I am so sorry for your son, I assume you at 51 have a son who is an adult or close to. If he's happy, then at least don't worry?!?!
I have not many doubts that mask mandates will return in the fall as 'flu' season accelerates. Even now, at least half the population continues with masking. I'm mentally making plans to not wear one, or at least to push, bend whatever rules will exist, some places I will just avoid. In the mean time, I am attending meetings with other similarly thinking people to plan, support a resistance movement, legal challenges etc.
We have to do our best. I am somewhat affluent so I try to support causes that are anti narrative with at least a small donation.
We are at war and must act accordingly if peacefully.
I live in Japan. Yes, I am 51, however, my son is 8 and has been wearing a mask for 1/4 of his life. we do not have mask mandates nor any mandates here in Japan, only recommendations from the government, which have the same affects as mandates. I have NOT worn a mask for these past two years and have constant arguments over masks with employers, one who demanded I wear one for online classes and my wife and son. I have been certified in the use of respirators and know that they do not, can not block viruses and I know the health risks long term use and misuse present.
I hope this study and comments to it give you a chuckle (especially comments). In the study, published in 1981 a doctor & team test the rate of post op infection with or without surgical masks, pages 390-392 (much lower infection rates without):
A problem can't be solved until it's identified and right now, there are more and more people identifying it. I guarantee you that there aren't too many people who will embrace poverty in order to keep the rulers (or would be rulers) in the lap of luxury!
