with the covid narrative crumbling and agencies and states reverting to normal and switching jerseys as rapidly as they can, it feels good, like a time to relax.
but i have some real fear about that. in among the capitulation and distancing from recent claims and deeds lies a nasty undercurrent of positioning to set up the next game. and that’s the one they seem to be aiming to win.
the cool kids table at davos/WEF global leadership gang still has plans for us, and they are the same ones they have always been: top down totalitarian control in full authoritarian fashion. the would like to order and arrange the ant farm to their liking while preserving a patina of “democracy” and “civil society” as justification, and trust me, having to eat bugs is going to be the least of it.
the centerpiece of this deeply desired regime is all inclusive all intrusive monitoring and social credit established as an explicit permissioning of the ability to have a life, a job, use money, and move around.
it’s one neat, tidy little package and if it gets put in place, there is no way out that is not rooted in no fooling around violent blood in the streets civil war.
covid came too soon. they were not ready, the plans were not baked. they messed up far too much of it and people behaved in ways they did not anticipate. but just as we learned a great deal about them, they in turn learned a great deal about us.
the covidian adventure was, in effect, a global reconnaissance in force. they saw what worked, what didn’t, and what avenues of escape and resistance need to be closed off. and make no mistake, they are working diligently on it. one need not be garry kasparov to see how the pieces they are arraying will play out in endgame.
this will be a game of years and the stakes are going to be nothing less that the choice between a free society of citizens and a planned coercive collective run by authoritarian elites.
this one really matters.
to play this game well, we will need to see the shape of the board, the commanding heights that must be held or kept away from opponents, and become cognizant of just what these traps look like that we may avoid them.
doing so requires understanding the opponent’s plan and their requirements.
to this end, i’m now going to play “red team” and lay out how i would run the table on the global populace if i truly went full “bad cat” and sought to take over the world.

here goes.
first and foremost, you need to control the money. if you can do that, you are already halfway home. you can stop transactions, seize assets, and generally pummel any and all who oppose you into acquiescence. it starts with banks, brokerages, stock exchanges, commodity trading, etc. as a government, i mostly already have this. but i need to make it stronger. regulation to stop fraud and money laundering will do it. this noose is already quite tight in the US and well spread throughout the world.
ideally it flows into digital money that can be tracked everywhere and the removal of cash as an easy and widespread means of exchange. a “cashless society” is not about convenience, it’s about surveillance and control.
this would be my first big push.
step one is use whatever pretexts come to hand to eliminate alternate systems.
shut down crypto using jingoism and appeals to “stopping war” or “terrorist plots.” my narrative would be: “crypto is for drug dealers, rogue state that threaten the world order, hostile oligarchs, and enemies of the nation who plot coups/whatever kind of supremacy/hate/honk too much.”
you shut it down, prevent its use, and take control of every on and off ramp that can turn it into currencies that can be used to buy food or fuel, pay rent or pay wages. you impose draconian KYC (know your customer) laws and prevent anonymous transactions. you dress it up as pursuing “tax evasion.” you bring in both law enforcement and intelligence agencies and use multi-hop FISA warrants to go after everyone.

then i would push for CBDC’s (central bank digital currencies). if i can get this into play, the game is pretty much over.
once it is in effect, there is no real way for a society to resist this. (i suspect this is why the davos devotees are so enamored of it. they see this too.)
this is about total control of money flows. if i have this, i can literally stop you from being able to spend it on X or Y or Z or AT ALL at the touch of a button. join a convoy? no gas pump in america will work for you. i can turn off a business or an organization, rendering it unable to accept payment.
this is game over for personal agency.
this is a level of control that has never before existed in the hands of the state. imagine how this would fit together with universal basic income (UBI) and the dependence and surveillance it would create.
i would keep disrupting economies, keep surging prices, generate widespread food and energy insecurity, and then use it to sell UBI and socialize medicine. this creates of utter dependents.
dependence sets the stage for the the final phase of the tytler cycle.
there are certainly no shortage of “leaders” who would be happy to assist in hamstringing your lives and taking your freedoms if they deem it of benefit to their vision of the proper ordering of things with them at or near the top.
this sentiment from lightfoot was echoed by who knows how many others from new zealand to canada and austria to the people’s republic of california.
they envy china and their ability to force the “right actions” upon society. they wish to claim this power for their own and will feel 100% justified in wielding it aggressively.
these are not nice people. these are secular jihadis.
it would be trivial to recruit them to the cause of conquest. i will have lots of eager allies and i will coalition build among them.
i would then set the stage for the next impositions and frame your rights as privleges to be indulged or denied based on exigency and technocratic fiat masquerading as some sort of security based objectivism.
after all, what’s trading a little freedom to get a bit of safety?
they key is to ensure that the habit of “do what i say, because, crisis” remains ingrained and the acceptance of the right of experts to make and force such decisions retained.
i would frame tomorrow as “giving you a break” as it seems positive yet establishes both my authority and your expectation of future intervention. claiming the right to provide beneficence also implies the prerogative to once more take it away. and this time, do not expect such an easy time wriggling free from control.
it will be easy to ensure that “things get worse in the future” because you can always invent a crisis, especially if one silences credentialed opposition by threatening medical licenses and science grants.
masks are perfect because the alienate, separate, and subjugate. they dehumanize and have been used for this purpose for 1000’s of years. they also visibly signal public allegiance and accession to diktat and the 25% who love them become devoted vichy supporters cum brownshirts for me.
i would, of course, generate a good list of “enemies” who can be excluded from having further voice by co-opting social media. this would also disrupt their communication and organizational structures. i’d pay special attention to cell carriers and ban encrypted p2p and to email providers and internet hosts and ISP’s. keeping a right to operate would be predicated on enforcing black lists of sites and senders.
i would extend KYC laws to social media. no non-digital ID validated accounts allowed.
to that end, i would quietly set about doing THIS:

this can easily be passed off as “streamlining” and “creating standards to make this easy” but that is, of course, ancillary. this is about having one, single, verified and digitally validated means of control.
this will be the mandated digital ID and it can be expanded rapidly to include anything and everything. it is the edifice of inescapable subjugation and many of the pieces are already in place.
vaccines will be sold as “safety” and you’ll need annual or bi-annual boosters to stay current. this means that i can shut you out of society by just doing nothing. it is up to you to take actions that i dictate. you have to run to stand still. stop, and you fall off the treadmill.
now you cannot get away.
the TSA working together with CDC can ban you from travel. this is a potent tool that was not used aggressively last time.

Since 2020, CDC has used these authorities to restrict travel of people with COVID-19 and close contacts who are recommended to quarantine. Travel restrictions can also be used for other suspected or confirmed contagious diseases that could pose a public health threat during travel.
if you can stop travel, both foreign and domestic, you can exert A LOT of pressure as well as isolate those who oppose you and render them immobile. this is the lever i will use to force the attachment of other parts of your life. it’s incredibly powerful when combined with cell phone tracking.
each would be “just one more thing.” each would be calibrated to be just a little too small to seem worth risking what you have already given up.
then i would pull the loop closed. these standardized digital IDs become mandatory to travel then to open a bank account or provide proof of eligibility to work. you need them to shop, to use the internet, to see a doctor, and to go to school.
they provide a link to all banking and money and digital currency. they can be revoked or suspended at whim and so can all your travel, work rights, and access to money. cross me, you lose all ability to function.
you’re chattel in all but name.
i’ll erect ever shifting and outright hallucinatory thickets of made up values and presumptive hate crimes that no one can keep straight. everyone will be open for cancelation because even knowing, much less following these standards will be impossible. this will make people too terrified to address controversial topics on social media. i’ll have fact checkers from the truth and ideological purity ministries everywhere.
just for humor’s sake, i will refuse to use this system for voter validation. (or perhaps it will be for less funny reasons…)
make me mad? can’t ride the subway or take a plane.
upset me on social media? lose meaningful internet access.
oppose the grand plan? welcome to unemployability and asset seizure. penury looks good on you.
won’t eat your bugs? well, you get the picture…
this is not that far fetched.
hell, it’s not even that hard.
it’s just 50 little things coming from different directions whose significance can be easy to miss if you are not looking at the whole picture.
it’s just a series of small trades of liberty for safety, privacy for patriotism, and choice for convenience.
it’s endless nudges and intrusions that do not quite cross the threshold of “severe enough to make you buck.”
it will never be quite worth risking all you have already given over this “one more ask.”
it’s a simple weaponization of behavioral economics.
and by the time you realize how far underwater you are, you’ll have already drowned.
so, that would be my plan.
i’d only need about 40% of it to go right to make the rest more or less inevitable.
worth giving some thought to as one considers just how to respond to the current crop of nudges.

No, the problem is people are not putting the Constitution to use. Those of us who never locked down, never masked, never vaxed have lost nothing yet, because we asserted our rights. Fortune really does favor the brave; we are not suffocated, poisoned or locked down/bankrupted. Keep insisting on the Constitution as the bulwark against tyranny that it is. Constitutional attorneys say you have no obligation to comply with unconstitutional mandates or laws. The whole of the Constitution is more powerful than only your 2A guns. You still have all the A's. Use them when needed.
