people like to play the “reasonable” card and claim this is not so and that it’s some kind of edge-lord extremist position.
but it’s not.
sometimes, there can be no compromise, no middle way.
it is a hard and objective ground truth that only one may be paramount:
you, the individual
or they, the state.
choose.
if you allow your rights to be treated as anything other than inalienable and intrinsic to you as a fundamental property of your personhood and you no longer have rights at all.
period.
there are no exceptions, no special cases, no carve outs.
none.
allow even one and you are left with no rights, only privileges that can be taken away by the state if they claim they have a good reason. (or worse, a popular one)
and once you open that door, oh what reasons they will find…
rights place the individual above the state. this is the essence of a republic and what separates it from the brutal ravages of a tyranny of the majority.
if you do not allow hate speech, you will have no right to speech.
if you are not a bodily integrity absolutist, you will have no bodily integrity.
all your life will be a negotiation with the state about the terms of your indenture.
you are a subject, not a citizen.
this is why they come at you when you are frightened. this is why they seek to terrify you further. this is why they start small with provocative edge cases that demand that you defend rights being used in some unpopular fashion.
they want to drive in the thin end of the wedge.
and once they do, they have you. the fight becomes “when and how much this time?” not “if”…
your appeasement builds their muscles.
and you will lose.
you get to keep only those rights you will fight for and if you will not fight, your subjugation is assured.
choose.
find the strength to stand and to become ungovernable or accept that holding your prerogative to go outside hostage as an “incentive” to force you to comply is now the remit of your rulers.
and it will not satisfy them.
and if you think that sucks, wait until you see what comes next.
these are the digital shackles from which you will never escape. it’s been the goal of the top-down social planners for decades. this will be linked to everything and become a social credit system like the chinese one that the davos technocrats so desperately envy.
this has been the plan all along. they just broke it down into bite sized chunks to get you to swallow them and not put up a fuss because no inch they took ever quite seemed worth it at the time.
in every single place that has imposed vaccine requirements to socialize, the ratchet has been one way. have they given you freedom in return? removed masks? allowed normal life?
has a single one even MENTIONED a process or standard by which this restriction could one day be removed?
because i sure have not seen it.
instead, they move the definitions again. “up to date” replaces “fully vaxxed.” this was never supposed to be temporary. ever. it was sold as a one time thing to get your life back. they knew damn well that this was a lie when they told it.
then they gave you nothing and demanded more.
can you seriously not see the pattern? can you not see what’s coming?
this will be the affirmative requirement for you to gain permission from the state every 6 months to be able to have a life, work, socialize, or go to school.
just wait until they start linking everything to this and your snarky joke on facebook gets you denied for a car loan AND renders you unable to ride the bus.
this sort of certification to engage in society is the dream of the central planner since the club of rome.
they back off when you buck, but they keep coming back the minute you calm down.
they seek to wear you out, wear you down, and push you over the line.
this is the inch you cannot yield.
cross this event horizon, and getting back takes something that looks an awful lot like actual war.
you do NOT wanna have to do that.
and this ALL stems from acceding that rights are not absolute and permitting exceptions.
it comes from saying “well, who could support bigoted speech?” or “well, we’ll just trade a little bodily autonomy for a little safety.”
no.
that ends one way.
always.
the price of liberty is the liberty of others, of defending the right of others to say, at the top of their lungs, things you have spent your whole life opposing at the top of yours.
it’s accepting that people will make you mad.
it’s watching people do things you hate.
and if you will not do this, then you are not suited to be free. and so you won’t be. they will rule you. good and hard.
An anonymous cat on the internet, that can't use the shift key to capitalize words, understands more about human rights than some of the Supreme Court Justices.
At least some SCOTUS judges try to be judges. And even Ruth Bader Ginsburg had here doubts about being a mere politician, for which her admirers had praised her.
Very true, although the use of Citizen by old definition is essentially one who serves, a term of enslavement in many ways. As is the term "person" - a corporate term also used to enslave. Anyone who lives "in the USA" here is most probably a 14th Amendment US citizen, which means by default, you already live under both federal and state rule, not as a free man or woman living *on* the land and soil, but as a slave of the corporate government. Don't believe me, look up D&B numbers for your state of state and/or the US Govt (State of Vermont, for example). Ever pass by a sign that says, Town of Kittyville, Incorporated in 1837 - obviously something to this effect. True freedom is one of mind for sure, it is one of actions for sure too, but because you've consented and contracted with your govt at all levels, to be free, there is a process of undoing, reclaiming your "political status", and finding freedom from all tyranny. tasa dot americanstatenationals dot org is a very helpful place to start with your research. At first, you feel like you're diving down the deepest of rabbit holes, only until the moment, and oh is it a beautiful moment, do you finally realize that you are climbing out of the one you have been in all your life.
Bad Cattitude - shout out to you, I do greatly appreciate all of your writings, they are purrfectly written. Sorry for all the punctuation... I'm just a dog in a cat's world...lol.
Great post, but the term "hopium" is unfortunate. What you intend to mean is something like Panglossian naive optimism. The role of hope in our culture is much different, with ancient roots. To lose hope is to lose, period. It is the last hours of the suicide.
I have to admit to being uneducated on that vein of philosophy. But "hopium" is relevant I feel. It conveys hope in something that won't actually be of benefit. I'm not advocating we don't hold hope in our hearts. As you alluded, hope is central to our existence. That hope just needs to be in tangible victories. I'm not sure if that makes sense. It does to me, but it's evening here with a bank holiday tomorrow and I've had quite a few glasses of vino.
Every person getting a booster or injection under pressure is implicitly signing a new social contract that says they want to live in a country where the government can arbitrarily decide their fate
Just an anecdote myneighbors just went on a repositioning cruise thru the Panama Canal where everyone is boosted and tested before bording. Covid. Lots and Lots. They are self quarantining. They believed the lie. Will they wise up? No.
Which usually elicits cries from the covid-mad that, "This is exactly why we need mandates!"
I think millions of people, all at once, who decided that adhering to the dictates of the state would deliver them are in the midst of a psychotic break. They don't know how to process the information that *everyone* is at risk again, vax and mask be damned.
live....they will not really get to live....well, or for long, in some cases. Many will time out before they can see it. Some of them may be my loved ones. Hard to just carry on.
The progressive left is essentially totalitarian. But it represents a minority in the country. The problem is that the people in the middle who consider themselves “moderate” and “pragmatic” are all too willing to cede their liberties to the state during emergencies (real, exaggerated of manufactured).
As Hayek put it:
“‘Emergencies’ have always been the pretext on which the safeguards of individual liberty have eroded.”
These moderates believe that they are only ceding their liberty temporarily. But nothing is so permanent, in reality, as a government seizure of power.
And so, of course, the progressives exploit, exaggerate, exacerbate and even fabricate emergencies in order to augment the power of the Leviathan.
Those of us who are committed to a free society never believed that we had to grant the government “temporary” emergency dictatorial powers to handle the pandemic.
Free societies are more resilient to shocks than authoritarian ones. But only if they choose to remain free.
All the "crises" and "emergencies" in my lifetime have turned out to be complete bullshit and nothing more than a scam to enrich and empower some at the expense of the rest of us.
All of them.
"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary."
A large part of the problem - perhaps the very largest part - is that those “moderates” in the middle have never really had to fight and sacrifice for anything. It’s all been given to them. Just a few generations removed from those who had to fight for survival of the free world have given way to a populace of lapdogs hoping if they only follow “the rules” they will be left to carry on as before without much of a price. It’s a lesson that seemingly can only be learned the hardest possible way.
The sad part is many people, including those within our families, just want to go along to get along. They have no sense,, taste, smell of what "inalienable rights" are. Therefore, how can they stand up for something they don't know. 🥺
The pandemic we have is one of cowardice and brut stupidity. I'm gobsmacked every day at how few people seem to realize the magnitude of bullshit that is piled around them and continue to go along to get along as you say. I'm not sure what it will take for this group to start caring.
I've been reading history a bit more, n much of the energy in opposition to unjust policies had young adults driving it. Currently, the young are buying into the whole thing 🥺
Oh, there is a virus alright. It's a virus infecting every layer of society, especially the upper layers of government and technocratic elites. I write:
"The WEF is one "spike" of the real virus infecting humanity. We can accept nothing less than a sterilizing vaccine for this real virus. For this one really is a danger to mankind."
“This is the story of a duel. It is a duel between two very unequal adversaries: an exceedingly powerful, formidable, and ruthless state and an insignificant, unknown private individual. The duel does not take place in what is commonly known as the sphere of politics; the individual is by no means a politician, still less a conspirator or an enemy of the state. Throughout, he finds himself very much on the defensive. He only wishes to preserve what he considers his integrity, his private life, and his personal honor. These are under constant attack by the government of the country he lives in, and by the most brutal, but often also clumsy, means.”
Agreed. They will never have more people on their side than they did with their two-shot "vaccine".
But actual science and reality has forced them to demand "boosters" and I think they are seeing just how unwilling a substantial portion of the two-shot sheep are when it comes to additional doses of experimental mRNA injections.
Our side will only grow, as the former test subjects look to become part of a control group.
Perhaps this oversimplifies, but consider: We could assume nearly all in the beginning (who took one or two shots) had full confidence in the system. As the year passed, and it became evident the vaccines didn't work as promised, and the need for "a" booster shot was created....a lot of people began to have doubts. We see that in the lower uptake for boosters. Of people who have the option (or soon, will be mandated) to take the booster, there are at least two classes:
1. The true believers, who will unquestioningly do whatever they are told;
2. The initially trusting, but who now have varying degrees of "buyer's remorse."
Group 2 may be further divided as follows:
1. Those who grudgingly will take the booster, through some combination of peer pressure or (more likely) to get/maintain "privilege" of working, going to university, shopping, travel, attend public venues, etc.
2. Those who refuse further jabs, as they have been enlightened that it will be a never-ending series of them. They may still have "full privileges" but depending upon where they live, they are now aware that the privileges can be revoked at any time.
It is from this group 2, perhaps, that our strongest allies will come from. In a way, they may become even more anti-vaxx than us: people who trusted the system and were played for fools. At the very least, they will know they were sold shoddy goods, with unknown long-term risks to health. And they will be especially suspicious of any future promises (or threats) from the powers that be.
I am currently reading Joseph Pearce's book: "Solzhenitsyn: A Soul in Exile". He stood for what were are presently experiencing. The struggle is ours. We cannot fail.
I first noticed this during the Obama years. I was a “Tea-Bagger” (such an offensive epithet) for awhile, until I realized the government’s ability to start fires for the opposition to keep stamping out…endless.
I ditched the remnants of my faith in The System and hopped over to Voluntaryism. I am ungovernable; I may end up executed for it, but so be it. My God isn’t living here anyway. 😇
I never had a lot of respect for judges in general, always considered it an overrated profession. But seeing some of the idiots that made it to the us supreme court is still a surprise to me.
It appears that a new requirement is that "they" have something on them. It is the only thing that can explain Chief Justice Roberts rulings on a lot of very important matters. He was appointed by Bush. He is a vile globalist just like his father. People need to wake up.
Nonsense! Jeffrey Epstein was merely a provider of entertainment to the rich and powerful all in return for rubbing shoulders with them 🤣. All his wealth came from, well, I'm not rightly sure...
On a more sober note, I fear you are right and that many in top positions are under some form of extortion or blackmail threat.
Just like anybody can run for office (or shadowy groups can hire actors to run for office…).
Where do these elected officials and judges derive their power? Certainly not “the people”: WE don’t have the authority ourselves, so how are we able to grant it??
“Government” truly is the Most Dangerous Superstition.
I received an email update today about the SCOTUS case about the vaccine mandates and some of it is infuriating. The justices who wave off legitimate concerns about a mandate of that magnitude are disgusting. The one quote that really got me was this:
"Justice Kagan said that the government is paying for these services, saying that if you want “my money" (and calling federal money “its money"), then CMS can require the Covid vaccine."
This goes EXACTLY to your point Gato when you say all your life would you a negotiation with the state. It's like living in someone else's house where they foot the bill. At the end of the day you are there are that entities behest and they get to decide for you the terms. He who supplies the gold makes the rules, as it were. This is what handing over personal decision making and responsibility (for the sake of what? the ease of not having to ever make a decision yourself?) to the government get you. A shiny slab of earth to beg from that one mistakenly thinks of as their own.
People need to gather their convictions and stand up! Stop letting - nay, asking in some cases - the government own you! If you do not own yourself and what goes into your body, then what do you own? Jaack shit
This is Exhibit A for why they've wanted single payer govt paid healthcare all this time. So that they could then argue that the payer calls the shots (pardon the pun). And now here we are. Quite predictable.
For years, my biggest argument against M4All was "but then they'd be able to force medical procedures on you, like flu vaccines!" People usually laughed at me. Nobody's laughing now.
Sweden still supports the vaccine caused deaths theory according to YOUR OWN graph Gato. Around week 15 or 16 Sweden was hitting its highest rate of vaccinations. In your graph above we see a massive drop in the mortality deficit. It is still blue, but the deficit shrinks considerably. It eventually inverts to excess mortality at week 35, but note that in the beginning out October Sweden paused the Moderna vaccine to all younger age groups. That would be week 37 about. That would help keep the orange excess mortality region small and likely scared other age groups/vulnerable away from the vaccine due to the announcement, which likely had the effect of keeping the excess mortality in weeks 35 to 45 relatively under control. The vaccine hypothesis is still highly valid as an excess mortality explanation.
The overall excess mortality for Sweden is an outlier, but it's clear the vaccines are still causing a lot of deaths. Sweden just happened to start 2021 with a big mortality deficit to make the vaccine impact look non-existent, but in fact vaccines were still causing havoc.
One cannot abandon a theory on one counterexample so easily when the theory fits several other countries separated by geographical space and timing in their vaccination campaigns.
After all, we have considerable data over many countries showing that increases in vaccinations lead to considerable increases in covid cases. This possible weakening of the immune system is likely leaking into the death bin for some unfortunate folks.
People generally don't respect freedom because they never had to truly live without it. It wasn't their blood that was spilled in pursuit of it and the memory of those who choose to bleed for freedom, have long time passed. Peaceful and prosperous times simply made people weaker, not only in body but also in the mind.
If Supreme Court rules to allow the vac mandates, that is opening the door to killing off old people (someday) under the guise of "saving the healthcare system from their overuse" or some such thing. Not to mention requiring women to carry babies to term that are deemed to be "special" or "important to society."
Wouldn’t even get that far - Pfizer’s Depo-Provera could just be added to whatever “booster” is required to validate your “freedoms”. Procreation permitted only for those subjects the state decides meet certain criteria…
The Davos Group (WEF) and other proponents of the Great Reset have their own idea about what constitutes the correct size of the population, and they've stated their intention of achieving that level. (Of course they have no intention of beginning the downsizing with themselves or their associates.)
Yep. And the Club of Rome before them. I meant that one just has to look at the declining birth rates in Western countries to see that it isn’t us who are overpopulating the world (if it is, in fact, overpopulated at all). At the rate we’re going, we’ll self-extinct within a few short generations…it wouldn’t even require bloodshed.
It rapidly gets into controversial issues which we need not broach here, but I believe it is a truism that it was Western European values, culture, business, science and so on that brought them and the entire world its levels of civilization (yes, there was collateral damage too, but pimping the good stuff now...!) . You can't have the goodies of the West without the people that created and sustain it. As their numbers decline, the overall world standard of living will decline too. If we're lucky, the decline(s) might be gradual and manageable. But shocks and sudden malfunctions may be more likely. Interesting times ahead. I'm glad that I'm in my sixties.
it appears American women already use abortion for nearly everything, so there wouldn't be any reason to mandate it. 😔 and absolutely, babies are Just as HUMAN as their mothers.
But once you've agreed that a State has the right to "allow" certain normal human activities, you've implicitly accepted the idea that the State also has the right to forbid them or mandate them.
Interesting point. I'm no legal scholar, but forcible sterilization was upheld (Buck v. Bell, 1927) and as far as I know, never overturned. Similarly for State right to require vaccinations (even earlier). Relevant to the idea of "inalienable" rights, you might be shocked at how many rights have been suspended -- sometimes just temporarily -- in US history. Civil War, World War II are prime cases.
I said, “no” to my employer, and my employment ends on 2/1. I work from home full time, and we’re now required to be vaccinated, “for the good of the community”.
I'm genuinely freaked out about this. So many Canadians role over and comply, no questioning the government and spoon fed media propaganda. Their lapping it up hook, line and sinker most like to be told what to do so there's no thinking involved and we'll all be looked after. We're doomed, Canada has no backbone. I try to send out as much factual scientific data as I can. Some are waking up, I just hope It's not too late 😢
Many are awakening, but still have not connected the dots. Friends of mine remain unva xed for CV but still don't see that they were wrong giving folks a hard time about not getting the other vaccines.
I think it's all a step to the good and that it's never too late
You're right, I'm going to remain positive and keep plugging along on my mission to inform. I ask lots of open ended questions, seems to work. Drop in the bucket, ripple effect and then a tsunami; the tides will turn!
looks like AB and SK are saying they won’t go that route. i can totally see BC jumping on that band wagon, though. might have to move to another province…
This is a WAR. This Evil agenda is about destruction of the Human race and bringing about a "new order of the Ages".It has been building for for centuries, and The Medical Industrial/Inquisition Complex is an important part of it. When nations reject God, they get three things: Rulers who hate them: Psalms. 106:35-42, Laws that enslave them: Ezekiel 20:24-25, Rights taken from them: Isaiah. 5:20, 23, 24 'Since the beginning of the Corona operation, many people began to realize that their governments have been taken over by very powerful and extremely evil forces, making political leaders worldwide move in unison to unleash unprecedented tyranny on their citizens.' - The Hidden History of the Revived Roman Empire: https://lionessofjudah.substack.com/p/the-hidden-history-of-the-revived Using predictive programming they've told us the truth years in advance. Humanity is the Virus they are fighting: The Olympics Rituals of 1992/2012 "Predicted" The Corona Operation https://lionessofjudah.substack.com/p/the-corona-end-game-addendum
There is one other element to this that you didn't cover in this piece but have in others. That is the power of peer pressure.
During this whole evil operation, they have used the compliant to hector, pressure, threaten those who would not comply. Fuck, they even used Pastors and other clergy who willingly went along. I saw it first hand. (yes I say F*** too much but still believe in Jesus, which is why I need and believe in Jesus among other things).
And they will ramp this part of the operation up big time. Folks, peer pressure is the greatest force on earth, with all due respect and apologies to Albert Einstein (he falsely claimed it was compound interest, what did he know anyhow? His primary school teacher said little Al was a dull boy).
Don't kid yourself, peer pressure didn't end in high school. You think all the folks at the store or the airport who are wearing a dirty, cloth mask like a chin strap believe those things DO anything? Of course not. That, my friends is peer pressure in action.
Unfortunately, human nature is not naturally courageous. If it was, we wouldn't be having this convo and the AWFUL CAT wouldn't need to post this kind of thing. Sure, there are a few folks, like me, who enjoy watching dumb people squirm (another reason I need redemption, believe me, the list is long) but most folks DO NOT WANT TO STICK OUT!!!
Think about it this way. We live in a cultural current. Most of us fish just swim with the tide, occasionally taking a side trip to see this or that, maybe even eventually going upstream to see something again, whatever. But if you want to see what is really going on then you must swim UPSTREAM most of your life and that is HARD.
Go to duckduckgo.com and look up how salmon spend the last few days or weeks of their lives. It ain't pretty. Almost all of them DIE going all the way up stream.
Some of us will die. But the more of us who begin to object, who refuse to comply, who decide to "stick out", then fewer of us will have to die.
But you have to do this. Don't wait until the time is right. It is always time to do right.
Albert Einstein wrote: "It is certainly unnecessary to await my voice in acclaiming Pablo Casals as a very great artist, since all who are qualified to speak are unanimous on this subject. What I particularly admire in him is the firm stand he has taken, not only against the oppressors of his countrymen, but also against those opportunists who are always ready to compromise with the Devil. He perceives very clearly that the world is in greater peril from those who tolerate or encourage evil than from those who actually commit it."
Princeton N.J. / 30. März 1953 (übersetzt von Andre Mangeot)
If the crate is big enough, and you give him a bunch of tasty treats and some cool gadgets, that pug might not even notice he's in it. Maybe throw in a marijuana dispensary and let him occasionally wave a gun at you without prosecuting him and he'll even feel triumphantly free.
Reminds me of Aesop's fable about the wolf and the dog. "Better starve free than be a fat slave."
I think I'm with you, except that I don't know what you mean by "a bodily integrity absolutist." If that means no forced vax, fully agree. If that's code for "abortion is okay," I'm not with you because nothing justifies the murder of a child in the womb.
After posting on FB about the hypocrisy of the Illinois Holocaust Museum requiring vax “papers” to enter, I got in a huge and incredibly frustrating back and forth with my sister-in-law. She argued that the Jews in Nazi Germany were persecuted because of their genes...that those unvaxxed made a CHOICE, therefore their discrimination and “persecution” are of their own making.
Of course I argued those who CHOSE to hide the Jews were executed for their choice, and as far as the choice to pass on the toxic inoculation...every human being has inalienable rights, and that includes the rights to bodily autonomy.
She came back with “your rights end where mine begin”. I kid you not. At that point I told her our “discussion” was no longer worth my time or my peace and that I was ending it...as is my right.
Interesting conversation. I, of course, agree with you. I had a similar conversation with someone who is fully vaxxed. She told me that a woman we are both acquainted with told her that she (the vaxxed person) is the cause of the covid deaths because she is causing the variants. I have to say that gave me pause. Why? Because I think to myself there is a barrier not to be crossed because it leads to a bad place. Where you blame others personal autonomy choice for the death - murder of others. I think if I head that woman say it my answer would have been ugly. I think. At some point we have to stop being arseholes. I hate the othering of people. Hate it. I am glad you stood against it.
But who is causing the variants? Do those who don’t take antibiotics lead to antibiotic-resistant bacteria? I actually do think the v@xxed are at least responsible for the rapid spread of variants because they don’t have natural immunity. Enough natural immunity leads to herd immunity which stops the virus.
I agree, but we cannot be them. We don't have to be nice or tolerant or whatever. or do be those things! But to call someone a murderer because they chose for themselves to take it - they weighed things and for whatever reason jabbed, IMO they are not murderers. Now if they start getting nasty, yep, I break out truth because I got it stashed in my hip picket (thank you Gato).
"Natural rights is simple nonsense: natural and imprescriptible rights, rhetorical nonsense — nonsense upon stilts. " Bentham.
"The sovereign is he who decides the state of exception." Carl Schmitt.
I think this appeal to the foundational myths of liberal democracy is misguided; the people and institutions who are acting to centralise power and control are indifferent to them.
Look at Macron; if you aren't vaccinated you're not even a citizen. You're "homo sacer" to use Agamben's terminology.
One of the biggest effects of this scam has been being forced to massively revise my liberal priors and theories of political power.
Even the people who make the laws and THEIR aids don't have to get jabbed. For some reason they think they cannot get it OR die from it. They are doing it for OUR protection. I can only assume they are immortal vampires sucking the life blood from... us. Guard your veins. They are coming from your precious bodily fluids.
Amen. Bold and in our faces. Even in the liberty community there is still *way* too much "going along" with the last 2 years of madness.
"if you are not a bodily integrity absolutist, you will have no bodily integrity."
This point alone makes my blood pressure skyrocket as I see "popular" so-called "libertarians" bragging about their latest flight for some leisure trip somewhere where I know damn well they had to submit to giving their body up for "testing" and mask wearing.
If we can't start enduring some hardship and volunteering to suffer a bit to try and hold on to what is quickly disappearing then we deserve what we get. Too many people are still thinking that this is all going away if we just comply and sit back and wait. I've said it numerous times to, what seems, deaf ears: We either endure a few years of hardship, make a bit less money, postpone trips, maybe sell a few things or whatever it takes *now* on *our terms* with the liberty we have left, or we will be forced into generations of hardship on someone else's terms *without* ANY liberty. I'm shocked that some of us still don't seem to get it.
Where has all the outrage been while the State has been mandating childhood vaccines all this time? Hardly a peep out of the "liberty movement", as far as I know.
The inimitable Winston Churchill said it perfectly. “If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.” - Winston Churchill
for someone covered in fur with only claws to type, you speak more truth than can be found much of elsewhere. i can only thank you with an endless supply of dreamies and catnip, which I am sure you have already in fan mail. seriously though (that was seriously) the feline facts foisted upon us like a ferocious furball incite every attempt at regaining our freedom. it's not slipping away. we can regain it the moment we wish. it just takes relocating our intestinal fortitude to climb out of the slumber of convenience obedience. all hail chairman meow!
I say, bring on the war. I'm fine with that and that is the only way this ends!
"What country before ever existed a century and half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it’s natural manure. "
I have Covid right now. The idea that anyone would require me to vax or boost so that I don't get or spread it is literally insane. But as I understand it, that's how most vax mandates and passports work. Even on a practical level, if one accepted that these shots were a good idea for everyone, that has zero sense. And that's one really good reason to assume the practical reasoning is wrong, whatever else you know or think.
Exactly right! Just want to add to this that the Illuminati ideology, based on Hegel’s philosophy of the early XIX century, subjugates the individual to the state. No inalienable rights, period. And this is whom we are facing.
But how do you resist? Are you gonna be the lone crazy guy making a scene at Starbucks because they asked for proof of vaccination? There are no good options for resistance.
Simply don’t go. I have my coffees on benches or at home with friends. I’m not going to lower myself to this level of humiliation in order to give them my money.
But you should go to let them know they are losing business. No need for a scene, but if asked for your papers, kindly let them know history won’t be kind to them and you will not provide them anything…and then leave.
How I wish those that do have papers would also not comply…sure, they can get into whatever place they want, but on principle, they should not be asked to prove they’ve jumped through appropriate hoops and thus will also not give said business their money
Oh - I’m so sorry! I’m so saddened that your family still went in (that’s how I’ve read your comment anyhow). Unfortunately, most that got the shot, just see it as a momentary inconvenience (scheduling, time there, and slight discomfort of the actual shot), but refuse to think about it more critically and if they don’t experience any immediate adverse effect, refuse to believe there’s anything more to think about. We’ve lived in comfort too long and so I am not optimistic about the majority. However, it doesn’t take a majority to effect change! There’s no way a majority agreed with most big changes in our society going back to the Revolutionary War, yet society was moved
If there is someone to take care of the pets and to post your bond, why not demand they call the cops and have you arrested. At this point you have "standing" or an "actionable" case. Shop for an attorney. With all the ridiculous regulations, I cannot believe there haven't been [class action] lawsuits already. To me it would seem a civil rights issue, as well as medical privacy, perhaps other factors. Where are the suits?
Well, I guess it's different for everyone. I go to every protest I can. When I'm there, I speak to the police. I explain why we're there and speak reasonably to them. We need them on side. I've had a lot of success with this. I've written to my MPs, I've encouraged friends and family and written template letters for them to use. I've written to the BBC and to our advertising standards when their spout untrue statistics about the unvaccinated in hospital. I haven't worn a mask once (except travelling on planes and the last time got away with that too). I speak to people whenever I can and share information - I just shared this post with friends of mine. When I am back in the UK I am meeting with my MP with a stack of peer reviewed studies and I will sit and wait while she reads them. She cannot claim ignorance then. I don't want to support big companies like Starbucks anyway. I'll support my local businesses that won't put up with this nonsense. I'm sure there's so much more I could do and I will try to do more this year. I believe small things add up.I believe we can make a difference. #together
Unfortunately it's always difficult being the first one out of the foxhole. Yes, that person is viewed as crazy, ridiculous, a conspiracy theorist, or any other number of purposely degrading explanations. But as those first few begin, the dam begins to break as others feel more and more encouraged to stand up too. Sometimes you have to be willing to be the first ridiculous voice and absorb the cost. Imagine if everyone who thought this shit was bunk stood up at the same time and said "yeah, no thanks" and opted to walk off their jobs. That would be a clear and unavoidable strike at the heart of this as no industry could likely survive without that many workers. The hardest part is starting that momentum
This is the real problem. If 90% of the population were reading this essay, we’d be fine. But most people just shrug and comply. Even if they have a slight sense of fear about it, they fall back on their childhood training of “do as you’re told” and “don’t be difficult.”
why are you trying to give your money to these looneys? just say no, say it everywhere. share this article, do your bit to resist no matter how small, it adds up
First of all, don't get your coffee at Starbucks, and second of all, SOMEONE has to be the one who is fed up enough to go first and be that lone crazy guy making a scene. Sorry, but a) you will inspire others and will not be alone for long and b) I know that it is a tad "uncomfortable" for you to do this, but it is an actually quite small price to pay to preserve things like privacy, bodily autonomy, health-decision-making sovereignty, etc.
YES. BE that crazy guy making a scene. You can NOT comply your way out of tyranny! Sad but true: we HAVE arrived at this point. Don't just RESIST (bs virtue signalling word)...REFUSE.
(I say this as a person who goes unmasked in stores in CA where we have an indoor mandate. I AM THAT CRAZY GUY. Join me and let's END this!)
as others have said, don't go. or take it a step farther and stage a sit in, filling that starbucjs with unvaccinated people who sit on the floor and everywhere else and won't leave. resistance looks a lot like what MLK did. it's hard and there will be consequences but it's the surest way to victory.
"this will be the affirmative requirement for you to gain permission from the state every 6 months to be able to have a life, work, socialize, or go to school."
Just saw on my local news tonight (a CBS affiliate), it's _5_ months now for Pfizer and Moderna.
"rights place the individual above the state. this is the essence of a republic and what separates it from the brutal ravages of a tyranny of the majority"
__tyranny of the majority__
In other words, a democracy. Boy, do I cringe when I see the figureheads in media extol "our democracy". It's almost equally cringe to have to say it as reminder, "we're a Constitutional Republic", but there you are. If it's not that, then it's just a _tyranny_.

SCOTUS is a political institution, not a legal one
Or a corporate one? Perhaps we are about to find out?
Maybe a fusion of politics and corporatocracy. Hmm, smells like fascism.
https://renegademind.substack.com/p/hopium-putting-the-proles-back-to
At least some SCOTUS judges try to be judges. And even Ruth Bader Ginsburg had here doubts about being a mere politician, for which her admirers had praised her.
🙌🏻😁 yessss!!!

Not some, all. We will lose this overwhelmingly, and we will be enslaved.

The comments are pretty informative.
Great post, but the term "hopium" is unfortunate. What you intend to mean is something like Panglossian naive optimism. The role of hope in our culture is much different, with ancient roots. To lose hope is to lose, period. It is the last hours of the suicide.
Steve, your comment is very dread filling to read upon waking.
I Hope my day improves.
Hope (and vino) is a drug that we have to keep up our fix of.
Great post Renegade Laurence. You look at the big bad picture!
Every day I look for something that gives me a good snorty laugh. This is it. Apparently not alla California is lost. Thank you. And so true.
Every person getting a booster or injection under pressure is implicitly signing a new social contract that says they want to live in a country where the government can arbitrarily decide their fate
Just an anecdote - my twice vaxxed & boosted mid-70s brother and his wife have covid...
Just an anecdote myneighbors just went on a repositioning cruise thru the Panama Canal where everyone is boosted and tested before bording. Covid. Lots and Lots. They are self quarantining. They believed the lie. Will they wise up? No.
But they did get on a plane after the cruise. But they wore their raggy old masks so....
Ditto. Those that I know with Omicron are vaxxed and boosted.
live....they will not really get to live....well, or for long, in some cases. Many will time out before they can see it. Some of them may be my loved ones. Hard to just carry on.

exactly. I copied your words and sent them to my children. well said.
~H. L. Mencken
Love this quote--this playbook's been around a looonnng time and people still refuse to see it.
Not in Canada
Totalitarianism is that exclusive to the realm of the left. It crosses social and political divides. I talk about it a lot on my Substack. My latest:
https://renegademind.substack.com/p/hopium-putting-the-proles-back-to
The sad part is many people, including those within our families, just want to go along to get along.
Oh my they are coming for me. I always thought they were after you.
I've been reading history a bit more, n much of the energy in opposition to unjust policies had young adults driving it. Currently, the young are buying into the whole thing 🥺

Scary isnt it.

—Sebastian Haffner, “Defying Hitler”
👍👍
Solzhenitsyn warned against their infinite energy to impose their ideology.
You may tire but they never will.
They've created an opposing movement that will not tire either. We are just smaller, for now, but I am betting on growth
Only 35% got the booster. I'd call them hopelessly lost. The remaining 65% are awake.
1. The true believers, who will unquestioningly do whatever they are told;
That's great news that the covidiots and their booster shots are so low. It gives me a little hope.
Unfortunately this is not about vaccines:

I have a similar story. Started listening to Tom Woods and other AnCaps and here we are.
I never had a lot of respect for judges in general, always considered it an overrated profession. But seeing some of the idiots that made it to the us supreme court is still a surprise to me.
I did litigation for 30 years. The judges are far from the best and the brightest. They're political hacks/ideologues.
If mandates stand, walk off the job.
https://markoshinskie8de.substack.com/p/the-scamdemic-will-magically-end
Yep, shit rises to the top, just as cream does.
There's a quota hire mentality here in the U.S. and the Supreme Court has not dodged it.
In the U.S., anybody can apparently be a judge. No minimum IQ requirement, nothing.
Tyrants in black robes.
Is there any chance of curbing the "intellegence" gatherers? I fear not.
😂😂😂
Or forced abortions and sterilizations. Look at the brutality of China’s One Child Policy
Your comment is on the wrong post.
👏👏👏
What should be mandatory is this essay. Pitch Perfect.
100%. Another brilliantly word-smithed piece.
People generally don't respect freedom because they never had to truly live without it. It wasn't their blood that was spilled in pursuit of it and the memory of those who choose to bleed for freedom, have long time passed. Peaceful and prosperous times simply made people weaker, not only in body but also in the mind.
What it means to be free?
What is freedom?
Do you deserve it?
Does your family and kids deserve to be free?
What is the price of freedom?
What it means to be human?
Do humans deserve to be free?

Interesting. My grandfather won the Military Medal in WW2 and died aged only 52. Perhaps that's why I fight on . . .
My dad medaled too. I keep thinking of storming the Normandy beaches. We aren’t fit to carry their boots.
Crypto-Christian 70s rockers Kansas had a good tune that sounds a lot our present era:

If Supreme Court rules to allow the vac mandates, that is opening the door to killing off old people (someday) under the guise of "saving the healthcare system from their overuse" or some such thing. Not to mention requiring women to carry babies to term that are deemed to be "special" or "important to society."
More likely forcing women to undergo abortions to avoid overpopulation -- as in China. Don't forget the babies are just as human as their mothers.
Wouldn’t even get that far - Pfizer’s Depo-Provera could just be added to whatever “booster” is required to validate your “freedoms”. Procreation permitted only for those subjects the state decides meet certain criteria…
Over-population in Western countries ISN’T a problem, regardless of race.
Nor are climate emissions in most Western countries, but hey ho

China allows up to 3 now apparently. Russia even pays.
But once you've agreed that a State has the right to "allow" certain normal human activities, you've implicitly accepted the idea that the State also has the right to forbid them or mandate them.
Yes, because China faces a population collapse . . . lots of men, few women, not many babies. Remember - government knows best !!!
Who could have guessed that a one-child policy would lead to the killing of female babies?
And that would lead to a huge imbalance between men and women of marrying age today?
Yep! You have to take this sterilization pill, for the good of society.
When will you start a podcast or go on Joe Rogan to help spread the word beyond your Substack following?

Bad cat, I don’t know who you are, but you are my brother (or sister?)
No matter what a court says about a mandate, you can still say NO to an employer.
If mandated, RESIST.
https://markoshinskie8de.substack.com/p/the-scamdemic-will-magically-end
I said, “no” to my employer, and my employment ends on 2/1. I work from home full time, and we’re now required to be vaccinated, “for the good of the community”.
REFUSE.
"Provinces likely to make vaccination mandatory", says federal health minister. Starting to get really dumb in Canada.
There are more dots than most think.

looks like AB and SK are saying they won’t go that route. i can totally see BC jumping on that band wagon, though. might have to move to another province…
Albert Einstein wrote it on March 30, 1953, in honor of the cellist, composer and conductor Pablo Casals (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pablo_Casals).

30. So good. Thanks.
An absolutist and absolutely correct take. Thanks again to the bad cat. Have a treat kitty.
Reminds me of the end of the old joke....."We KNOW what kind of woman you are, now we're just discussing the price."

I think I'm with you, except that I don't know what you mean by "a bodily integrity absolutist." If that means no forced vax, fully agree. If that's code for "abortion is okay," I'm not with you because nothing justifies the murder of a child in the womb.
I agree with you, Kate. If we're talking about absolute bodily integrity, we have to remember that the child, too, has absolute bodily integrity.
And the 'certain' in "certain unalienable rights" was in the sense of "sure," "indisputable," not, as some seem to think, "particular, of the whole."
Said elsewhere, when tyranny did come to the USA, UK, Germany, etc, Anitfa were nowhere to be seen . . .
Fauci predicted mandatory vaccinations in 2009:

Early 2020 there were rumors in Germany about mandatory vaccinations being the goal from the very start:

You can never satisfy a bully/abuser no matter how much you concede, they will always want one thing more, one thing more, one thing more….
Two quotes frame this for me.
I'd like to point out that the members of the Supreme Court and their aides are exempt from vaccination mandates. What are they so afraid of?
They should be under the same laws as we are! If they were I bet this case would get denied and closed a whole lot faster.
Thanks for putting my thoughts, after listening to SCOTUS, into excellent, feline words!
Where has all the outrage been while the State has been mandating childhood vaccines all this time? Hardly a peep out of the "liberty movement", as far as I know.
IT WILL NEVER STOP! Even a liberal / progressive should understand this.
Beautiful--my sentiments exactly!
Thank you!!
Yup, how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.” - Winston Churchill
for someone covered in fur with only claws to type, you speak more truth than can be found much of elsewhere. i can only thank you with an endless supply of dreamies and catnip, which I am sure you have already in fan mail. seriously though (that was seriously) the feline facts foisted upon us like a ferocious furball incite every attempt at regaining our freedom. it's not slipping away. we can regain it the moment we wish. it just takes relocating our intestinal fortitude to climb out of the slumber of convenience obedience. all hail chairman meow!
agreee. This one was powerful
Thomas Jefferson
I have Covid right now. The idea that anyone would require me to vax or boost so that I don't get or spread it is literally insane. But as I understand it, that's how most vax mandates and passports work. Even on a practical level, if one accepted that these shots were a good idea for everyone, that has zero sense. And that's one really good reason to assume the practical reasoning is wrong, whatever else you know or think.
Amen.
Exactly right! Just want to add to this that the Illuminati ideology, based on Hegel’s philosophy of the early XIX century, subjugates the individual to the state. No inalienable rights, period. And this is whom we are facing.
great comics.great piece.
I went w family to lunch at an LA restaurant n I was not allowed in. A feeling of invisibility I've never experienced previously 🥴
They got food to go n we went to the park.
I love this - takes some real resolve that I’m not sure I have yet…yeah, I need to fix that
Exactly!
👍👍
#together
Nice. I wrote to both my MP and the excellent Steve Baker. Got a reply from Steve. Keep going, every day.
As Alex Berenson said, the sign that you are winning is when your opponents start to claim that they were with you all along.
This is the real problem. If 90% of the population were reading this essay, we’d be fine. But most people just shrug and comply. Even if they have a slight sense of fear about it, they fall back on their childhood training of “do as you’re told” and “don’t be difficult.”
So maybe we should just shrug and NOT comply. That’s what we’re doing.
why are you trying to give your money to these looneys? just say no, say it everywhere. share this article, do your bit to resist no matter how small, it adds up
First of all, don't get your coffee at Starbucks, and second of all, SOMEONE has to be the one who is fed up enough to go first and be that lone crazy guy making a scene.
Well, I live in Los Angeles and I'd like to join you, but it's practically very difficult.
as others have said, don't go. or take it a step farther and stage a sit in, filling that starbucjs with unvaccinated people who sit on the floor and everywhere else and won't leave. resistance looks a lot like what MLK did. it's hard and there will be consequences but it's the surest way to victory.
That's what Rosa Parks said.
Not.
