Every used book I have ever bought (which could number in the thousands) and subsequently stored away in a box somewhere, smells like cats. Why is that?
Cat's don't wont humans to know they can read. Therefore the best strategy is to read in stealth and cover inside say a box when the humans are no longer interested in the book.
I have “Dewey the Library Cat” on audiobook but haven’t had a chance to read it yet! Maybe I’ll be able to read something whimsical again once we stop democide and tyranny ;-)
Dear cat, in case you still want to crowd source those lists of athletes collapsing from heart issues, here's a list for most South American countries. I'll try to add more cases if I have the time:
It's interesting to break this down by year. Looks like fatal events are 4, 10, 12, 6 and 23 respectively for each year from 2017- 2021, which would make 2021 nearly double the highest recent year. What's your source? (This is not to give you a hard time; It's just so hard to know how complete a list it is...are these the ones that make the news?)
My source is Google and Duckduckgo, so these are only cases that make the news. Hence the clear slant towards fatalities (42 vs 13).
I'll add more cases later today (I have 8 more already). I'll also probably erase the two cases from Portugal and make more through searches for Colombia, Venezuela and Spain. Having more complete lists but for fewer countries should make it easier to double check.
I don't know whether I'll have the time to make really good searches for Brazil. But I'll keep the cases I've found at least for now.
That would be a good question for a journalist to investigate. During the pandemic, it's become clear (to me at least) that many if not most institutions are "captured," that is, they are clearly partisan. Right now, I'm interested in the non-profit corporations. Such ones as the American Heart Association, the Mayo Clinic, and many more. Many of these subsist of corporate (e.g. Big Pharma) money and sometimes even government's. The details are (I think) of public record, yet one rarely hears about them. Even I, lacking much investigative skills, have found on AHA's own web site that about 5% comes from direct corporate donors. Harder to suss out would be the 76% coming from "foundations." These may be intermediaries from partisan sources. Needless to say, such funding will tend to result in bias regarding what the organization says, does or funds with its own grants. At least the media is honest in the sense that their advertisers show where the media outlet's loyalties lie.
As someone once said, the real crime is not what is illegal, but what is legal. These organizations are in all probability obeying the letter of the law. But the "crime" is that much of the public trusts them to be reliable information sources, when they are anything but that.
You have a very interesting sense of humor. I know a single cat I’d like to introduce you to. He’s a crazy, lovely little cat. Very affectionate. Loves fresh roasted Turkey and chicken. He likes it frozen and defrosted as well.
Cats rule Councilmen drool!
Could have ended up a CATastrophe.
Books and cats belong together like flowers and bees—it is a symbiotic relationship no human shall darest breach. Power to the bibliophiliac felines!

Are you sure it isn’t that your cats smell like books? 😹
Brilliant! 😘
They secretly read them.
Or something else, a little more cat-like...

BTW, your avatar pic looks almost exactly like Fernando Andacht’s—looks like you have Uruguayan dopplegängers: https://www.facebook.com/fernando.andacht
Obviously a man of refined taste and unusual intellect... ;)
He most definitely is! You may enjoy the guest essay I recently published by him:

I've ended up following your lead running into an old friend.

I remember reading Dewey to my kids. Cat and book lovers, of course

Or read it as a brief diversion and a reminder of what life can be.
People almost always stand for animals. If more people knew what Fauci did to beagles he would be gone.
I heard Fauci did “something’ to beagles. Can you send me the link/??
If you haven't looked into it already, it's a lot to stomach.
Found a couple substack articles on it.

Make sure to note the part where they cut out the dogs vocal cords so the lab technicians wouldn't have to hear them crying in pain..
As they say, "If you mess with my cat, they will never find your body."
Scary!

I'm sorry if this is not the best place to share it, but I don't have a better way (e-mail?) to contact you.

You brighten my day, Bad Cat! Thank you!
...awww, catz are winners!
Four-legged furry friends add joy and comfort to most situations. Councilmen add unnecessary rules and regulations.
I love a story with a happy ending ! I couldn't make out the cat's name, though - could it be "Assad" ? 😊
I sure hope that kitty has it's "vaccines" and boosters! Super spreader! ;-)
Oh that's the best! 🙌
Miau, Omar pequeño!
Speaking of happy endings, maybe Omicron is what we've been waiting for to deliver robust immunity with few side effects.
