I am COMPLETELY unsurprised that the Pols are pretending. Masks are worthless and *always* have been. The number of Karens who actually believe the B.S. is what troubles me.
1. This became apparent a year ago as elected officials broke the mandates that their unelected officials working for them invented. Cannot call any of them 'leaders.'
2. move on to something new - if someone is subscribed to el gato, we get it. What's the value in showing this? I guess 'I told you so' but other than that, re-re-affirmation re this being theatre
On the positive side, I was in Trader Joe's today in Tribeca (NYC) and about 20 percent of customers were not wearing masks, right there in the heart of the Cult demographic! And no staff persons were doing anything but giving sidelong stink eye, rather than doing the full Karen act.
How pathetic. But even sadder is that the masses cannot see the sleight of hand on this one. Govts can get away with these things because they know the medical establishment will keep the narrative alive and sort of cover them. The masses may not trust "leaders" a lot, but will trust some guys with white coats pretending to follow "science".
