When the first Ebola cases emerged, I read that that virus too comes from bats. At the time a well regarded magazine wrote, that a professor who was studying the bats was the first to have it. I have nothing against bats and I heard their poop is a very good dung for the garden, but other than that, even people in the Middle Ages knew to stay away from them.

Totally agree. Why would someone make NEW diseases when there are so many for which there is no cure? All they do nowadays is make chronic treatments. How long since a cure was found for something? But of course, when you cure a disease, you won't have the income anymore! Follow the money. Make a disease, let is spread, make a vaccine that has to be pumped every 6 months and you are good!
