Thank you. The lies are falling apart. I joined yesterday's Vancouver, BC mini convoy in support of those who drove to Ottawa. No violence, no racism just Canadians of all sorts who disagree with the government and want their rights restored.

Expand full comment

Ottawa Police reported not one incident of violence yesterday; people cleaned up garbage as citizens on their own initiative. However what gets reported is a Nazi flag somewhere, single photo, 4-5 people in isolation, one angle. If identified as part of the protesters, they will be vilified without reservation. If exposed, it will be massive scandal.

In Vancouver we were applauded by a small group of uniformed officers along the highway. Not all of them agree with the loss of liberty here.

ESPECIALLY the Boomers. We remember WW2 more vividly than anyone from stories told by our parents, relatives, and their friends. We know fascism from having heard about it for 20 years, at home and at school.

In my case from parents who were Holocaust survivors. Where I was born and raised (Prague, CZ), the war was as real as the NHL is to Canadians. It was recent, it was extremely painful, it was all around us in memorials, songs, stories, movies. Plus my parents (and I) had to endure decades of Communism right after the war

Expand full comment

Also, we grew up in the good old days, the first couple decades after the war when 'happy days were here again.' Roughly half of families attended church regularly, and kids could walk halfway across town with no fear of anything. Gato recently ran a great piece on this topic, lawn darts and all. It's hard to believe how much we've lost since then.

Thanks Quaran Tina! I tire of seeing people dissing the "Boomers" as I am one of them and have been pro-liberty pretty much my entire life. Boomers still know how a representative republic is supposed to "run". It's kind of unfair to blame a generation for everything going on when the plans for this madness have been in place pretty much since the ink dried on the Constitution. There's plenty of blame to go around in *every* generation. And going back to "Boomers".... in my area, it's the "Boomers" who *refused* the face diaper... it's all of the younger generation that slapped that thing on like it was the next best thing. Thanks again for reminding us all that it's us "Boomers" who actually lived through a huge portion of this insane agenda long before those who are criticizing us were even alive.

Freedom is THE most important thing in life -- freedom to love, to believe in your God, to decide what or if to put anything in your body, to decide where to live and what to do with your life. People who don't 'get' this are going to be sorry beyond measure once -- or if -- we lose freedom. By that time, though, it will be too late.

Expand full comment

Be careful BASHING any group, not all the people in ANY group are the issue. ITS ALL of society putting up with loss of freedom in EVERY AGE GROUP! I'm in the US, and its happening everywhere, and the media is brainwashing whole viewerships into believing all the LIES. Those refusing to look into the truth are really needing to take responsibilty for ignoring whats happening. We're all talking and alot are plugging their ears and covering their eyes because they don't want to do anything hard. I applaud Canada, because you wouldve thought AMERICANS WOULD STAND UP FOR THEIR FREEDOM, BUT THEY'RE TO BUSY BEING BUSY TO NOTICE WHAT THEYRE LOSING. Hope they wake up before it's too late for all of us.

Ageist. 😮

Expand full comment

Well it's not just age... I define a "Boomer" as someone born between 1946 and 1964 who is willing to have any amount of someone else's money spent on himself. As a member I hew to the traditional English grammar where the masculine pronoun was understood to be inclusive.

I've noticed that the police are not causing problems either. no heavy handed bullying.

I have found law enforcement here in Canada to be one of the few examples of reasonableness. When Doug Ford said they could start arresting people at random, most police boards came out and said "ya, we aren't going to do that". Unlike in Australia, where the cops seem to really be enjoying forcing masks on people. I suspect that many police want a return to normalcy for themselves, their friends/family and the rest of us.

Expand full comment

Like with most things, there is a spectrum. When I lived in Alberta and my wife and I were members of Citizens on Patrol, my experience with RCMP K Division was that many members were just as you describe. But there were a few of the gung-ho types attracted to policing for the power, and those guys were the ones who loved busting down doors and the like. Basically, cops are people. Mostly good, but none of us are perfect, and neither are they. We all do the best we can, most of the time.

So far I have the feeling nobody's buying the "violent extremist nazi" narrative of mainstream medias when it comes to the truckers convoy, besides some hysterical Liberals on twitter. It’s a sad day when Canadians have to show Americans how to freedom.

Expand full comment

Depends where you are in America. The states that want freedom have it. I haven't had a covid restriction since probably june or july 2020 when everyone stopped caring where we lived. Then moved to another state where nobody cared. And finally moved to one where they really didn't care.

People in the states that need freedom need to figure it out there

Expand full comment

Generally, yes. Life in America is easy, and some people can succeed here despite being very very stupid. The other thing about America life that is not always visible is that it's very easy to "get around" odious laws and prohibitions. People don't bother to protest laws if you can just not follow them and get away with it.

I was expecting 50% of the USA to reject the jabs and 30% of Canadians. Boy was I off. 30% of Americans and 10% of Canadians.

The Aussies tried the convoy idea in early September 2021 but the majority of people still believed that vaccines and passports would solve it. Same for the election in Canada last fall.

Now EVERYONE who got the shots is getting sick and they are pissed off royally. The "blame the unvaxxed" is seen for what it is.

Good luck to the Aussie truckies this time I think it will work.

I would not put any stock in the % of vaccinated that governments put out. I suspect that it's a lot lower than they are presenting.

Canadians always take the vaccines they propose. I remember my dad took the H1N1 vaccine back then and same for a lot of people. Much more than in other countries. However they didn't try to force people to take it and that's the problem I have. If you want a shot and think it will work go for it but don't force me.

The fact the Canada has a very high vaccination rate, whatever it is, makes the politicians arguments that it's the fault of the unvaccinated frankly stupid. I think that woke up a lot of people. Among the truckers a lot are vaccinated, they just want the end of every coercive measures.

The Americans most likely to protest this kind of tyranny live in red states already --they are not going to protest on behalf of the "idiots in Oregon." And the liberal residents of the blue states support the tyranny ("Save us from Covid, for we are Afraid!"). Most normal people "protested" by packing up their trucks and moving to a red state. Canadians don't have a red state to move to. I'm happy to see them fighting for an end to the madness.

I live in probably the most deranged county in WA State. It's demented. Masks required everywhere, the unclean not allowed at concerts/theatres/restaurants. Moving is not easy, and also feels like running away- I want to stay and fight here, with the other 25% who see through the lies. Keep hoping the tide will turn. But yeah, definitely it doesn't make sense for the sane part of the country to protest on behalf of the insane part. That being said, I don't know that the insanity couldn't spread to the other states, so maybe it would be wise to protest after all...

moving is hard -- WA sounds just terrible, and it's mostly in Seattle, right? It used to be such a great city. How long can the crazy last? I regret moving to Vermont from California seven years ago. All i wanted at the time was green grass and plenty of water...and I had a job to go to in Vermont. politics was not in my head at all. Luckily Vermont has only gone moderately crazy...lots of tough talk at times, but with zero enforcement. that's the Vermont way--the state motto is "Freedom and Unity." Maybe protest the trucker mandates that will jack up the price of food again...?

Expand full comment

Look to another layer. It is not the price of food.

In Canada, the Trudeaucrats have started to mess with the supply of food. Most of what we eat in the winter is trucked over the Canada-US border. After 2 years, and a "Covid" strain about equivalent to a cold for most of us, they want to make the border "Safe for Karens", thus no passage for nasty "unVaxxed" truckers. Sadly, there is no way to send them away from the grocery stores when they show up driving themselves alone in their cars (preferably electric, or at least Priuses) with their useless masks. (Even worse are those with their KN95 (Does the K really stand for Karen?) masks with air gaps at the noses and sides.)

The real deal is messing with the energy supply, and the fertiliser production. Watch agricultural commodity futures over the next two to three years. (Same stupidity as shutting historically safe nuclear plants in Germany and burning brown coal! I haven't studied the seismic risk to Diablo Canyon in Calif. well enough to make an informed comment.) Africa may be in trouble, smallholders in North America are being priced out of business with energy and fertiliser price increases, but our corporate masters are willing and able to buy them out for (paper, Monopoly) money. It may make the great toilet paper hoarding of 2020 look like a kindergarten game. "Let them eat cake." At least the French have bidets.

Our protests are going well, but see peckford42.wordpress.com for the Freedom Rally in Victoria, B.C., yesterday. He makes the point that the whole system has been captured and corrupted and will take years to return to democracy, and then only if there is continuous pressure and participation of the citizenry.

Let me propose the next lie: "Your food supply has been disrupted by the despicable nonVaxxed."

Expand full comment

I will definitely be out in support of the truckers if they come through FL.

I think you are right. The people that want freedom can just go on living it, and those that want jabs and masks, well let them have them too, if they want to be a pincushion who cares? As long as they leave us alone

Expand full comment

“As long as they leave us alone.” The globalists’ plan is to convince the pincushions to carry the perp’s water and turn on us. They are using the the same Nazi 1930’s playbook. I live in California and it’s not working here. Nobody bothers me if I don’t wear a mask. So far it’s all sound and fury from the liberal authorities, but they don’t have a rabid base backing them up. Plan B will be to try to enforce it with their armed thugs, but they know that may backfire when people see how few of them there are. It definitely won’t be as easy here as they had it with the unarmed Aussie’s and Kiwis.

I live in PA, and once the amendment passed greatly limiting the Governor's powers things went pretty much back to normal. I was at the protest yesterday in downtown Ottawa and it was fantastic! The highway was lined with pockets of people supporting the convoy, and it was -23 degrees out, so it cost every single person who braved the cold, but we did it willingly.

Downtown was so full it was like Canada day, and instead of violence, people were saying excuse me, pardon me, so sorry as we shouldered our way through the crowds. Everyone was smiling, and the most violent thing that happened while I was there was the number of times I heard "Fuck Trudeau!"

In the Rideau Centre they had blocked off the tables and removed the chairs so no one could sit there so people sat on the floor, and then someone spontaneously started singing Oh Canada, and everyone joined in, first in English, and then in French.

I really sincerely hope it stays peaceful! There have been pictures of a flag with Swastikas circulating but I think that was trying to say that Trudeau was like a Nazi (which makes more sense). Lincoln got hundreds of thousands of people killed in a completely unnecessary, but profitable, war of extreme Yankee brutality and cruelty. (At the same time he was waging a genocidal war in the American west to complete the Abrahamic conquest of N. America.) He was a true Yankee, and today, as I write this, basically the same faction of people, Yankees, are busy in eastern Europe trying to provoke another object of their hatreds. Any objective observer would notice that the Yankees and their NATO puppets are themselves conquering the Ukraine, which would explain why Biden's administration and its presstitutes are barking so angrily about Russians planning to invade and conquer Ukraine.

Now, this is awkward:

In His New Book, The Lincolns in the White House, Kevin Orlin Johnson Reveals That Lincoln Owned ― and Sold ― Slaves

The PR release states also that Lincoln's son "Robert Todd Lincoln confiscated the papers in the president's office and burned almost all of them". If this is true, we have another good reason to believe that the history of Abe Lincoln is badly disfigured by hagiographers and honest historians alike.

He makes this clear in one of his letters, and in Chicago, at the south end of Lincoln Park on the north side of the city, you can find those words cast in bronze at a memorial to your tyrant and railroad man.

Restoring the Union, trying to unite the country is a noble goal.

We are brainwashed to hate kingdoms and queendoms, though ironically the monarchy of the UK is excused.

When thinking about US history, the first rule of thumb is to doubt pretty much everything that is taught to children in schools here. The next thing is to remember what our teachers have long been fond of doing to us. For example, until 1942, teachers prodded their students to perform the Bellamy salute, so named for a Christian socialist who popularized it with his pledge of allegiance. Check it out:

I'll try to find it but my favourite pic was of a petite, dark skinned lady supporting the truckers with a sign that said "Just a small fringe minority" with "small" and "minority" colored different. Yes she is small and a minority but she has more of a spine than Trudeau. Welcome to Canada.

I was at the rally yesterday. In true Canadian fashion, the extreme cold didn’t deter people coming out to support an end to the mandates. I saw a broad spectrum of people call Trudeau’s bluff, and prove to the World that it is not a fringe movement. Most MSM media reporting didn’t accurately display the sheer amount of people who were there. I also believe the movement has morphed into a greater pushback than what the original Convoy protest set out to achieve. It was a call to action and to stand up and be counted as Canadians , and to voice our displeasure with the course the country is on under present leadership.

To be fair i wouldn't call that extreme cold for Canada

Be careful what you wish for... Our deputy PM, Chrystia Freeland is a member of the WEF Young Leaders. For an example of what they do in power look no further than Jacinda Ardern in NZ. You have properly called out Jagmeet Singh, and the Conservative leader, Erin O'Toole, has been prominent in his invisibility.

The Hon. Mr. Brian Peckford spoke to 10,000 of us gathered peacefully in front of the B.C. Legislative Buildings yesterday (although there were certainly no legislators in evidence) with an Island truck convoy in support. He was unequivocal that the system has become corrupted and we need to act over the coming years to restore democracy.

Expand full comment

We need a list of all those of WEF that have infiltrated governments. There are partial lists online but I have not seen a whole list. There is just a list of companies affiliated and OMG that is half of the world. I am not sure though, how involved they are.

I looked at that list, too. Daunting! But then I remembered that being on that list only means the C-suite signed up. The employees can go either way. Push them far enough and they will all be truckers.

I am more concerned about the politicians who joined that band. Trudeau, Ardern, Johnson, Macron, Erdogan, and many more, several Malaysians, I saw 2 pages before my computer blue screened LOL. It would be nice if someone could find a list of all the politicians that are groomed by the WEF.

And not just Freeland: Klaus Schwab is on video saying proudly that the WEF has "penetrated" at least half of the cabinet of Canada thanks to Young Global Leader poster child Justin Trudeau.

The Hon. Brian Peckford is a shining ray of hope for the restoration of our freedoms, and as the last living co-architect of the Charter, has the moral authority to speak to not only the letter but the spirit of the Charter's provisions. We should vociferously support his lawsuit, in conjunction with the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedom, against the federal government's travel restrictions, e.g. by donating to the JCCF.

THANK-YOU for this excellent summation of the damage the execrable Trudeau has done to my country, for recognizing the power and resolve of those of us fighting to restore our freedom, and for your wise insights throughout the ordeal of these past 2 years. I am a proud member of the "fringe minority" with "unacceptable" views. Standing in the freezing cold on a highway overpass in Toronto on Thursday, cheering on the Convoy with a passionate group of fellow freedom-fighters from diverse backgrounds, the spirit of hope, unity of purpose, goodwill towards each other, and unwavering resolve was so inspiring that I have tears in my eyes - again - just describing it. We will NOT back down, and are SO appreciative of the outpouring of goodwill and support we are receiving from around the world: so many people say we are giving them hope. We are so glad to see that we are catalyzing similar trucker protest convoys elsewhere. Again, THANK-YOU for standing with us.

This remembers me the last days of Ceausescu.

The country was boiling, and for him "elemente huliganice au spart vitrinele magazinelor din Timișoara"... "some hooligans have broke the windows of shops in Timisoara"...

Trudeau seems to be as high as Ceausescu.

And, by the way, the three clowns that are pressuring over Spotify to eject Joe Rogan - Neil Young, Jodi whatever and James Blung - are a copy-drawing of the "vocea poporului" / "people's voice" in „Scânteia” - Romanian Communist Pravda - during the 1950s, when it wasn't uncommon to see some idiots "denouncing" a bourgeois, than the "Securitate" - Romanian NKVD - immediately arresting the guy...

Thanks for covering this. I've been obsessively following the CBC coverage of it and just absolutely losing my mind. Even living in Canada though, it's tough for me to get a handle on how the general public actually feels about this. I live in a small town, and EVERYONE is cheering for the truckers, vaxxed or unvaxxed. But my fiance lives in a city and the sense I get from her social circles is that they all basically believe 500 white nationalists are defacing statues and waving confederate flags with swastikas in support of their 'freedom to kill people with the plague.'
