Waiting for Crime Minister Trudeau’s hypocrisy to kick in…

Sigh. His rhetorical hypocrisy is at an all time high!! Makes you wonder if he uses ear plugs so that he can’t hear himself when he spews such things!

Are you kidding?

That flatulent weasel is so enamored of the sound of his own pronouncements that he probably wears an earpiece connected to a microphone taped between his own buttocks to be sure that he never misses out on his most important utterances!

I stand corrected. This is a far more likely scenario.

And of course, ALL the feminists and liberals and leftists who are HUGE and VOCAL supporters of EQUALITY for Women and tolerance for all are raising a HUGE outcry against this...er...um...uh...hmmmm...never mind...

Hard to believe that the Iranian government is more compassionate. Canadians didn't get two warnings, did they?

I don't watch the MSM, but as far as I can tell, they really didn't cover the fact that the truckers bank accounts were locked .I've spoken to a few people in the US about it and they were completely clueless. IMHO, there are many in the US who haven't even thought of that possibility.

Expand full comment

But, but, it can’t happen here, I mean I am one of the good guys. By the way is your internet working, how about your debt card, I keep getting a funny message I don’t understand, something, something, locked. Do I need a new password?

when I came to the US, not being a citizen, I could not open an account. I was flabbergasted, because obviously businesses that are not citizens either, can open multiple accounts

Expand full comment

I hesitate to share this here, but whatever. I once dated a stripper from Dallas who happened to not be a US citizen. She had wanted to live in Vegas, but because of gaming, they have many relatively strict laws about opening bank accounts, including ID and proof of citizenship. In Dallas, all she had to do was show a driver's license or passport, and they were fine with it. Worked for me.

Even sharing that here, it's safer than when - not if - they decide it's theirs.

Hey folks, this is their goal. All digital currency. Total control of YOUR LIFE. Control freaks gonna control freak. It doesn't matter what race, religion, culture, nationality or anything else.

The best way to fight back is to USE CASH. Use cash for everything you can. If it drops below a certain level they will just do away with it.

Despite the levity here and elsewhere, I've been waking up every morning with a pit in my stomach. I'm not a naturally violent person, but I fear that at some point in the near future, many of us will be forced to decide whether we are willing to go down with our boots on. I will definitely not be complying, because I see this as quickly becoming the last stand for humanity. And the sheeple are so fucking oblivious to it. This is what happens when you mess with natural selection. Or something like that.

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

Yes indeed.

Yes, well England is small. You can get around by horse and buggy, on foot, and by bicycle (peddle variety not electric)... so those 'restrictions' aren't going to be too onerous at least now. However, if they start cracking down on the rest of transportation (mass transit for example) y'all are in for it. Just kind of like France and the no flights from cities (short hops) where you could otherwise take a train and 2.5 hrs to do the trip... watch it escalate in to geographical lock downs.

To think there were Women' Lib movements all over the Middle East during the first decades of the 20th century, where removing the veil was cheered and immediately picked up by other women.

Like Huda Sha'rawi of Egypt. Mention women like her to modern-day western feminists and they clam up.

Expand full comment

The veil is about status and power and sometimes political statements, and zero to do with piety.

Ask me to count the number of women I knew who observed strict purdah in their villages and went around bareheaded in big cities where they were anonymous in public and with sophisticated friends in private.

I was friendly with a family decades ago where the eldest girl, then in her late teens, wore her tunic so tight every inch of her figure showed, but she ran home every prayer time to show her faithfulness. (She also told me in the friendliest way that she really shouldn't be friends with me, a Jew, but never mind...) She'd carry on like anything if the tailor left a little ease in her kameez. She was always bareheaded except for prayer time.

Became a doctor, moved to the US with her physician husband (a love marriage no less). I found her practice online, and his, with nice photos. She wears that tight Arab-style hijab and her husband has that bump on his forehead the real enthusiastic prayer-performers have.

Her grandparents were refugees from India during Partitition and her parents grew up in Karachi, and her mother wore saris for formal occasions, showing lots of midriff.

(Mother was really kind to me. When I married in the country and went to introduce my bridegroom to all my friends in the capital city, the mother invited me and my husband to stay in their home even though they didn't know him from, you know, Adam. Considering allowing a strange man to stay in your house with your three unmarried girls was a pretty big indication of her regard for me. We stayed in a hotel but I never forgot the courtesy.)

Expand full comment

Piety is the excuse used though. That and that women without veils are honourless promiscuous whores who maybe taken by any man whenever they please, especially infidel women.

That is what imams preach here in Europe, and that is what moslems in Europe say and do.

They use their lice-wrap as a marker of superiority, forcing pre-pubescent girls to wear it, and use it as a political weapon. Moslem women trying to live without it are harassed, threatened, and assaulted. So are the very few swedish women living in moslem ghettos. This includes harassment from swedish feminists, for "internalising white supremacy".

"Sharmuta" is in some areas almost the most common form of adress from moslems towards swedish women, especially from moslem women.

The Spanish Inquisition? There fixed the quote for you! That said, this has all been gamed out and foreseen, and the warnings fallen on deaf ears as the corruption took hold degree by degree and the black mail ramped up big time... it is easier than ever to use today to blackball people and keep them AWAY from positions of power. Even the feeble ones protesting are in on it... the controlled Oppo... Western Civ is doomed, Humanity maybe along with it since the release of the spike that sheds to the non vaxxed and other 'bio weapons' hanging around waiting to be used... In one fell day the great and 'corrupted' American State will fall... all that takes is a nuke in a strategic place or two... and its poof. Gone with the Wind....EMP also could be used to kill 2/3 of the population, and then subjugate the rest. If Russia gets any of US territory (Alaska say) that's where you probably want to be when it goes down... rather that than the Chinaman ruling you or the just as psycho Europeans... Yup, I'll head to Alaska next few years...find someone to go with and settle outside of the over populated areas... kinda melt away into the wilderness....If I were young that would be my plan. Culturally I find it odd that they arrest men and toss them into vans without warning while they instead choose to cut the woman credit card off like a college freshman in trouble with her parents.

Expand full comment

To be sure they've been tossing women into vans also. That precipitated the protests.

This is much more clever. Educated Iranian women might be outnumbering the men at this point. Many of those women are main supports for parents or for their own marital homes. People are always more willing to sacrifice themselves than impoverish their families. It seems romantic to hurl yourself into the physical fray. A lot harder to contemplate not being able to pay for your dad's heart medicine.

And also prevents them from becoming martyrs, current protests as evidence of that.

When it comes to banks, follow the prime rule of crypto: Only put in what you can afford to lose.

https://simulationcommander.substack.com/p/for-a-glimpse-of-the-future-look

Think back over the last, say, 20 years. Did you protest against the Iraq war? How about protesting at Occupy Wall Street? Were you a member of the Tea Party? A member of #TheResistance? Did you disagree with the government’s covid response? It’s nearly certain that everybody with a political pulse has crossed the government at one time or another. How comfortable are you with the idea that the person you’re protesting against can shut off your bank account?

Because now, it seems, those perfectly legal actions at least have the potential to come with harsh monetary consequences, as well as the ensuing chaos caused by financial ruin. And this is happening all without a single shred of oversight or due process. It’s just some asshole in an expensive suit giving a list of ‘subversives’ to another asshole in an expensive suit. The no-fly list but with the very real potential to ruin your life.

LOL. I've seen your posts before so I know it's sarc season. I think they should automatically remove money from your account for all infractions (parking, traffic, improper attire, going outside your zone, not being "up to date" on your shots, etc). Then if you disagree you can go to court and try to get it back.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

I'd say that's exactly backward. They shouldn't be able to get anything from you without Due Process.

Thought Experiment: You have a Trump 2024 sticker on your car and have parked legally in but the rich, ritzy portion of your Local Urban Enclave. Police get bonuses every time the cross 100 tickets. Do you think these fines-automatically-removed citations are going to handed out fairly? And with some moderation and consideration of the specific circs?

Feels like it gives too much power to Gov.

Of course but that's the way they want to do it, isn't it. They'd do that in a heartbeat if they could get away with it and with their Digital ID / Currency they will. And people will let them (not me or others here of course).
