Covid has made me lose all faith in the medical community.

Expand full comment

Absolutely. I used to scoff at Jenny McCarthy and the anti-vaxxers, and even people who used the term Big Pharma. I would think, how can you go against the overwhelming majority of medical professionals? And I would say, it costs alot of money to develop the best drugs in the world. Now I know that med professionals are all bought and paid for, and Big Pharma actively stands in the way of cheap effective alternatives.

Expand full comment

That is part of the unintended backlash/reaction to the vaxx mandates. I've seen more people who never, ever questioned vaccines are now thinking "maybe the anti-vaxxers were right". This includes some people who got this C19 vaxx.

Expand full comment

This! You're describing me and my family. Never questioned "medical authority". Now that I've dug in deeper.. I have a LOT of questions/concerns.

Expand full comment

I'm actually going to apologize to an anti-vaxxer former friend. While I had other, much larger issues with her, I'm certainly mature enough to admit I was wrong not to give the subject the thorough investigation I usually do.

Expand full comment

Definitely agree. My mom has always scoffed at the flu vaccine and for many years I laughed at her. Now I’ve started digging into it and I probably will never get one again.

The same is true of childhood vaccines I’ve given all three of my kids. My daughter just had a horrible reaction to the rotavirus vaccine (self diagnosed of course because I doubt her pediatrician would say anything other than “maybe so but probably just a virus.”) With some digging I’ve realized that this is a fairly common reaction. But after nine doses to three different kids over the last five years, not one medical professional has ever mentioned a thing to me. Unthinkable.

Expand full comment

Yup. Flu shot every year for me. No more.

there is benefit to them from Pharma for giving lots of jabs

Good to hear. None of my friends or family have expressed regret yet, but I hope they will admit soon that they were lied to about the vaxx being their ticket to normalcy. I mean, how can one not realize it when you are now being told you still need to wear masks and you already need a booster?

Expand full comment

There's a lot of ego involved. As much as I try to share some hard data with my sister, she insists they are safe. At this point, all I care about is for all mandates to be removed. All VAERS reports would need to be audited thoroughly as well as an independent commission focus on AUTOPSIES of all deaths within 48 hrs of the shots.

i just read my health providers' e mail on boosters, filled with suspect appeal to cdc bs.

i deleted the e mail.

i took the vaxx and i now see i should have passed.

Thousands of families with vax-injured kids have known this all along. The issue was never to deny the value of real vaccines but to acknowledge that injuries ARE REAL and need to be addressed. The best way forward would be to eliminate the 1996 law that protects manufacturers from liability. As it is, the CDC & FDA arw captured agencies that serve Big Pharma at the expense of thousands of vax-injured people.

Expand full comment

For me, "maybe they were right" only took ten minutes on wikipedia to convert to "uh, yeah, they were"

Expand full comment

That was a really superficial comment. I'm in my late-afternoon empty stomach low-attention span mode. What I should have added is, it amazes me that painting anti-vaxxers as irrational could even be possible given the flagrantly unscientific, superstitious, reckless, and deviant nature of vaccine history.

This was also me. I didn't scoff at them.. but certainly assumed they were "wrong". Didn't realize that we were as a society victim shaming. There's little benefit.. way more to lose speaking out like Jenny McCarthy or Robert F Kennedy Jr have done. They're mocked, vilified and have lost family, friends, job opportunities. Some might argue that they can have a niche following and profit from that.. but if you listen to "anti-vaxxer" stories they're almost always a personal loss or injury - usually children. Who are we to judge what a mother feels has happened to her child. Even if we disagree - to mock a mother's pain is heartless society at its worst. If we treat everybody with compassion.. ask questions and stop making assumptions.. we might just get to the other side better off than we were before.

Worse yet is how they're attacking and discrediting reputable medical professionals and scientists trying hard to sound the alarm and asking for all vax to be halted. Drs. McCullough, Fleming, Kory, Zelenko, Bridle, and many others. THAT'S how you uncover the corruption. If you're on Telegram, check out Dr. Reiner Fuellmich for the 100s of interviews he's done with very bright and competent doctors and researchers.

My wife convinced me to not vaccinate our kids 5 years ago, I was very hesitant about it initially, but now I'm really glad that she did. Our kids are so much healthier than their cousins, it's pretty crazy.

Look at Dr. Paul Thomas' study. He lost his license after publishing the study showing the data from his practice of 15000 patients. He practiced Informed Consent. His healthier patients are those unvaxxed or woth alternative vax schedules. In the meantime, Pfizer is now pushing its toxic jabs on our littles (5-11 year olds).

There are studies that look into this but they're hard to find. There's SO much more data needed but certainly a fascinating topic. I dug in deep last year and watched this 9 hour video a couple times (I watch everything on 1.5x+) and highly recommend https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFTsd042M3o

I watched the FDA kill a patient deliberately firsthand. So I have no illusions of their benevolence

Expand full comment

what did you see?

Expand full comment

First they screwed the patient out of a potentially lifesaving drug trial. The paperwork was submitted on time, with signature receipts but it sat on some hack's desk and didn't get time stamped until after the deadline.

So pts attorney filed for compassionate use.

They denied, and said they couldn't tell them why they were denying, but to re-apply in six months and they would probably get approved.

Attorney: "But without this my client will be dead in six months."

FDA: "We know."

I shit you not.

I think we who have changed our views on the med community can cite several events or data points as to why, but here are my top 2:

1) A pro vaccine doctor friend of mine says his hospital got a missive from their state licensing board that threatened their licenses if the discuss anything adverse about the vaccines with patients. Chilling.

2) My doc tried to hard sell me on the vaxx. Told me I was wrong, literally made fun on the VAERS reports, said there was no reason not to get it and "everybody should get it." Unbelievable callousness toward real side effects and a total violation of the Hippocratic oath. He disgusts me on a personal level, but professionally what I saw was either a groupthinking ignoramus or a simple shill for Big Pharma. I'm done trusting them.

Expand full comment

Mine was the uncompromising insistence that the vaxx is 100% safe and effective for everyone and the fact that it was created in less than a year is an irrelevant point that is anti-science. Even when I had the disagreement with my old-school anti-vaxx friend I was never in support of mandates or life-altering punishments. Nothing, not one single thing, that we insert into our bodies whether food or medicine is 100% safe for everybody, all the time and certainly not under penalty of poverty if one refuses.

Right. I mean there are billboards in my town proclaiming that the vaccine is safe. This was my first clue it probably is not.

My wife and I are changing doctors, after 20 years, to one who was recommended by friends who feel the same way we do about the vaccines—which is that they may be good for some but not for all and ought in any case to be a personal choice. I’m not going to be hectored into doing something I don’t feel comfortable with. (Although I might be open to persuasion, if anyone cared to try that route rather than badgering, shaming, and threatening. I don’t respond well to any of those tactics.)

Same, honestly I don’t feel like taking my kids for their annual check up, I may skip and Here in CA is worse because when your kid is 12 they don’t have to disclose the kids medical history anymore

Welcome to the club of individuals who realize that the term "healthcare" is a misnomer. Medicine has long traded improved health (short term income potential) for continued care for chronic (worsening) health conditions (long-term income).

Nutritionists are equally corrupt. Look up Brenda Fettke or Dr. Chris Knobbe.

Saturated fat is NOT the cause of heart disease.

Toxic seed oils (aka vegetable oils) are highly oxidative, when it is being processed, while sitting in bottles on the shelves and even when it is in your cell membranes, negatively impacting your mitochondria function.

If we kicked the nutritionist and food pyramid and their garbage message to the curbs, the need for "healthcare" would plummet.
