i am just a kitten so please excuse me if this is a silly question, but if this is what qualifies as “partying hard” in austria, how can anyone even tell if they are locked down or not?
because this kind of looks like some sort of purgatory where dead lounge acts have to spend a few thousand years before being allowed to move on to the next plane of existence.
First off if you've ever been to Austria you would know that this actually is pretty much what qualifies as partying. Incredibly repressive culture. Many moons ago I was in Vienna and after two days got the hell out of there as you could just feel the lack of any vitality, spontaneity or joy.
And I had a great place for cheap- I preferred to take my chances hitchhiking to other parts of Europe.
Seemed like a bunch of well-manicured dead souls to me though there has to be some subterranean culture there that has a pulse somewhere amidst the automatons.
Everything seemed quite antiseptic and so robotically clean that it made you want to toss a little trash around town which I never do.
Now to the song at hand- it's by Opus and it is (or was) a great song. That has to be lip synced there which would fit with the artificial nature of the whole scene. It's a pity that they are doing this as it will forever stain what was really their only "known" song. Shilling for a bunch of fascists is not going to look good in the history books.
Here's the original "Live is Life" video from 1985:
Ah, that sucks. When I went to Vienna in 1986, it was a freedom full-on punk/youth party as it was the refugee outpost for all the USSR countries escapees. It was better than West Berlin (at that time).
Not sure what to tell you Matt- I'm sure you know it better than I if you live there but that was certainly my impression and experience. As I said it was only two days but yes I was there.
Funny - Listening to this instantly put me in mind of Laxmikant-Pyarelal's last early-80's masterpiece - https://youtu.be/xRC0NZrDH5A - which was released a year earlier.
George Carlin missed a great one in his death penalty rant. Bring back a great American tradition. DUELING. Gates and Fauci, back to back, 10 paces, turn and shoot. Now Fauci is a small target so he might last a few rounds.
Can you imagine Biden? He'd get to step 8 and ask "How far we going again?" and his oponent would shout "12 Joe". Cumo the entire cast of "The View" just to get rid of them once and for all.
No more top down edicts on how to do it—everyone can make the best decision based on their situation. Just thought the guillotine was nicely evocative.
just shows what an unreal stupid intolerable reality the 'upper' or 'ruling' or 'successful' classes live in. doesn't it? and they've got a little kid trapped in that madness with them - indoctrinating it to believe that's what 'reality' is. excuse my language: fucking insane. (and that's Austria? they 'party' in English?)
They're not laughing in any real sense. They wouldn't be able to raise a decent honest belly laugh amongst the lot of them.
What they are is living in a constant state of fear. Fear of life itself.
But the fault here is not them. It is us.
Because we do their bidding without saying a word.
How many millions of clerks and policemen and nurses, doctors etc. etc., etc... are performing their functions that all help construct this madness?
Millions.
And each one thinking 'well I can't do anything to change it' because conscious of being such a tiny powerless little part of the machine.
But look: if every little part of the machine merely uttered the words: 'this is mad' as they did what they're told to do - things would change overnight.
Millions muttering 'this is mad'.
But what's the reality?
to all intents and purposes: no one muttering 'this is mad' . No one. Not one.
I've often thought this kind of thing:
Imagine Stalin issuing his orders - go out and kill 100,000 and then going back into his private office and closing the door behind him. Do you think he might have thought to himself 'I wonder if they will?'
And after finding they did it do you think he might ever have thought 'Jesus Christ, is there nothing they won't do? What if I tell them to kill 200,00? I'll try it..' ?
And so on.
Mao Zedong.
Idi Amin.
Hitler. and on and on and on...
Don't you think at least some of them must have pondered on how incredible that the people - so very different from their own selves, you understand, a race, a creature, a thing completely different to the overlord himself - that the people would willingly turn on themselves like that on nothing more than his command?
Well I do. I think it is probably the norm with them. They marvel at our willingness to turn on ourselves and annihilate ourselves.
And that's our fault, see? The see it, find it, use it. But it's ours and we do it.
Certainly no belly laughing! But scornful tittering is what I’m imagining. At our foolishness. At our complicity as you state. It’s embarrassing and maybe they ought to be laughing. Right up until the crowd reaches critical mass and imposes our own reign of terror. They should be shaking in their boots knowing their lies cannot last through the winter. The critical mass of people decrying the madness is growing one police officer, one teacher, one nurse at a time. We will get there or die trying.
I think they are already in hell but don’t quite yet realize it. It reminds me of the really bad lounge act in Scarface right before they tried to unsuccessfully machine gun down Tony Montana.
Looks like all The Austrian Plandemic Politburo were there having a Grand Old Time, sufficiently socially distanced, likely vaxxed up, and mask free! What better time could be had? 😜
I sure do hope this was on Austrian TV, so that ALL people can see. Same thing happened here, last year all were forbidden to visit family, but they flew around and visited of course. Belgium : lockdown, only 4 people allowed, they : hired a restaurant to party. Why don't people stand up to this ? They did many years ago, in France, Belgium and many other countries. We need to get rid of these folks people !
They're a bit downshifted because right before they entered the gathering, they had to take a booster shot. I'm sure a bunch dropped dead, from extreme happiness, right after the event ! Or... maybe the event would have been a bit more jam-packed, but a bunch of attendees dropped dead, right after getting their boosters, right before the event ? Either way, 'the show must go on'...
This is like all those scenes in the dystopian books and movies. Hunger Games, Snow Piercer etc.. Where the ancient and debauched upper crust get to party while the plebs shovel coal. But this is more like a B-grade version.
I don't know much about Austria but I reckon they can dance better than what goes on further North. This looks to be a forced event for the globalist minions that they all have to attend. Maybe this is Master's idea of letting his staff have a good time. Like when Ralph Fiennes sent Colin Farrell to Bruges in that movie.
0:26 = Austrian president Mr. van der Bellen - The president has actually small power (though he could refuse to sign laws and is official head of the army) much more a representative role.
0:33 to the right, Mr. Schallenberg, Austrian prime minister (ÖVP = Volkspartei, hehe; Austrian peoples party :) to the left, Mr. Kogler, his vice prime minister (Green party)
In the upper right corner it says ORF which is the offical Austrian Broadcasting Comp. ORF2 is 2nd channel.
YouTube now has an age restriction on the video, as there is a brief artistic shot of a female archer with uncovered breasts in the opening scene. That's why I included an uncensored Dailymotion link.
Who in their right mind would be clapping along to that 'upbeat elevator music'? Clapping along to a guy squeezing his nuts on a stage to get the high notes is not 'partying'. Do we live on the same planet or what?!
Ha, good one, I saw that but I couldn't be bothered to post it before I went to bed.
Still, here's what I dug up: ± the same happened in June 2020 in Switzerland, but with a special "twist":
"According to the report, politicians had an “illegal party” on Tuesday evening at around 10.30 pm. After a 14-hour session, many felt like a cool beer or a sip of wine—and gathered at the “Henris”, the restaurant in the Bernexpo convention centre where the session took place from Monday to Wednesday due to Corona. There is talk of at least 50 up to 100 parliamentarians from various parliamentary groups."
"The councillors and employees of the parliamentary services had to have somewhere to eat, after all. Outside Bernexpo, this was difficult”, parliamentary services answered on request. It remains unclear how much alcohol—which the parliamentarians had to pay for themselves—was consumed."
In short: two Alpine republics, with comparably shitty politicians, albeit the smell may be somewhat different. (/sarcasm)
wow. i would have bet it was impossible to dance with so little rhythm that you could make the swiss look like brazilians.
clearly, i was wrong...
the devil's got no soul
and by that I don't mean all Austrians (or Austrians in general) -- just these creeps
You should be ashamed for being so slutty.
Just ignore the bot
I know, right?!!!!
😹😹😹
If they weren't all standing up, I'd think it was an assisted living party.
Head swimming here with that one.

BTW hilarious post.
You beat me to it. Sad to see Opus and this great song reduced to a circus like this.
A well-known window spray commercial had already destroyed my enjoyment of that song, sadly.
Ah, that sucks. When I went to Vienna in 1986, it was a freedom full-on punk/youth party as it was the refugee outpost for all the USSR countries escapees. It was better than West Berlin (at that time).
Allen, I have lived in Vienna for 51 years and I can tell from every sentence you write that you have never ever been to Vienna in your entire life.
I've been there a few times, I like Austria.
I'm disappointed to see this though;

The von Trapps need to kick them off the stage and start singing "Edelweiss"!
In Alvin and The Chipmunks voices.
😹
Oh I love you Dear Sweet Alice with The Looking Glass! 😻
Haha, aww, love backatcha, Frontera Lupita chiquitita! 😽
I am in sitting my car in my driveway totally laughing to myself!
Oh I had not heard that song in a long time…is that a ‘secret message’? 😉😹
Haha, not intentionally—just my inspiration for “chiquitita”! 😸
These people are all the same. I think it's time we bust out the guillotines. Sorry, not sorry.
Lined up against the wall or dangling from a rope...but guillotines will work. ;)
We can do ALL of these things! No reason to limit ourselves.
First publicly executed, then tortured, then imprisoned for life? ;)
(Yes, in that order.)
George Carlin missed a great one in his death penalty rant. Bring back a great American tradition. DUELING. Gates and Fauci, back to back, 10 paces, turn and shoot. Now Fauci is a small target so he might last a few rounds.

Ah, dare to dream Arnold. Dare to dream.
I love everything about this!
I hope Netflix picks up this show! I think it has real promise.
No more top down edicts on how to do it—everyone can make the best decision based on their situation. Just thought the guillotine was nicely evocative.
They’ll all have a “swinging” time.
They labor under the delusion that it's still 1940 and people idolize politicians and movie stars.
Where is 'Meatloaf', in his character of 'Eddie" (complete with bike), when you need him to bust up a party?
There must be something very wrong with me, that my brain came up with that one, watching the 'party' video.
Lord have mercy. I think I'd rather shoot myself in the face than hang with this gaggle of barely reanimated cadavers.
Thank heavens the help are masked up, as usual. No one wants riff-raff spittle to defile one's schnapps or schnitzel.
All that's missing are transvestite dancing syringes.
just shows what an unreal stupid intolerable reality the 'upper' or 'ruling' or 'successful' classes live in. doesn't it? and they've got a little kid trapped in that madness with them - indoctrinating it to believe that's what 'reality' is. excuse my language: fucking insane. they are just laughing at us at this point. this needs to end. I am not opposed to violence by now.
They're not laughing in any real sense. They wouldn't be able to raise a decent honest belly laugh amongst the lot of them.

This has to break soon. Surely it has to break soon. Please let it break soon.
I sincerely hope so. But some days even my hope wanes.
I think they are already in hell but don’t quite yet realize it. It reminds me of the really bad lounge act in Scarface right before they tried to unsuccessfully machine gun down Tony Montana.
I bet the after party was nothing but cocaine and gangbangs
hahaha
😹😹😹
As a pre-euthanasia send off party I give it a thumbs up.
Sound's not working for me, but judging by appearances, I'm glad.
It was horrible. 😢
🤣 I’m sorry you can’t unhear it.
Shut peasant and do as I say not as I do. We need to start seeing these creatures having an intimate encounter with some lamp posts and piano wire.
Now THERE'S a constipated lot.
Lockdown and travel bans now!! This music needs to be contained and eradicated before it kills all taste!
That music is hardly infectious. But then again it doesn't have to be if they use force to subject you to it.
It sounds like the singer is performing under duress.
Looks like all The Austrian Plandemic Politburo were there having a Grand Old Time, sufficiently socially distanced, likely vaxxed up, and mask free! What better time could be had? 😜

M.Night Shyamalan's just released trailer for "The Non Sense", with an all dead cast.
There's a beat in there somewhere, guys. You just have to find it.
I dunno, I've never seen everybody clapping in such bad rhythm as that before, and some of those guys probably don't know who the guy singing is.
They must be doing what they've been told to do.
I'm sure the little people couldn't handle this much merriment. Perhaps they're better off at home.
At first i thought it was an early Mel Books movie in really bad taste starring Zero Mostel.
...enuf already...
Thank God their native son didn't win WWII.
And thank you for all you do, el gato malo.
Those Austrians always did like that 80s-something music.
Whatdja expect--Rio?
This is like all those scenes in the dystopian books and movies. Hunger Games, Snow Piercer etc.. Where the ancient and debauched upper crust get to party while the plebs shovel coal. But this is more like a B-grade version.
Is this for real?
One just has to laugh. Or die crying. lol
"When you all get the power, you all get the best"
*pukes*
I could only get through 27 seconds of this. Egads.
They will make the human sacrifice later in the evening
great observation! can you say creepy--makes my skin crawl
Austria's rulers getting down with their bad selves is an image I will not be able to unsee.
Looks like a scene from Kingsman: The Secret Service.
How to spot a tyrant: no sense of rhythm.
Oh, and white.
It seems the kitten is in a place beyond outrage. That's okay. We'll be outraged for you.

Your brilliant piece on rules for thee but not for me is 💯🎯. They enjoy being on display..” i am special but you peon are not”

The Dear Leader stands up and claps . . . and so EVERYBODY must stand up and clap . . .
Nice. Here is a cover version of the song that goes much, much better with that dancing!

If that's what Austrian parties look like I prefer to be locked in my home.
Springtime for Schallenberg and Austria is happy and gay
