From 5:30 am, when the nightly curfew is lifted, until exactly 6:45 and 27 seconds, the right foot. From 6:45:28 ’till 10:58:38 the left foot. From 10:58:36 (not a typo) until ……. Any infraction will find one cast into the gorge of eternal peril.
What about eating and drinking and the call of nature. Gotta hop and squawk. How, far? How ever far you need to go. If you are not going anywhere, hop and squawk in place.
Most would go along with it, I believe. People are panicking and will do anything they are told.
Very droll. They were also told masking was no longer required outdoors. Their eyes should tell them that because some did not wear masks. Some gave me dirty looks, yet none bothered to ask me why I was not wearing one....
One of the many things that I find terrifying about all of this is that once an action is recommended most expand upon it and continue it no matter what is learned afterwards. At first studies suggested that the virus could survive on surfaces and be transferred via them. Thus began the spraying and wiping fetish. It is now known that the virus is NOT transferred that way yet the spraying and wiping continues. As one who is certified to use respirators. Wearing masks against a virus outdoors is no more silly than wearing them indoors. But to take you point, in places where they were only mandated indoors, many seem to think that if they are good for indoor use, then they must be helpful outdoors too. Besides, how can one prove they are taking the virus more seriously than others if everyone is wearing them indoors. What is left for Bertha Betterthanyou to do other than tho wear hers outdoors too?
Given just these two realities, where does this end? That is what terrifies me. Despite knowing that the virus does not spread via surface transfer for what, a year now?, enormous numbers of man hours are spent spraying and wiping then down. The tv screens on the train brag about how detailed the train cleaning crews spray and wipe the train cars after use. They had a whole segment on spraying and wiping practice equipment and venues for the olympics. Volleyballs and NETS in addition to the floor. People are wearing masks when swimming! How do we end this when the masses of humanity heed the call to perform such madness but ignore the same authorities when they tell them that any part of this is no longer necessary?
I never downloaded a QR code app. I check in the old fashioned way; with people giving quizzical looks. At supermarkets, I had to give my mobile number, so people looked at me....
I would oppose "them" even over a single molecule.
"...once an action is recommended most expand upon it and continue it no matter what is learned afterwards." Yes! For example, in NSW Australia, we never masked <=12kids yo, yet some mothers, especially Asian ones, masked them, even outdoors! We were never required to wear masks outdoors or indoors on private property; yet I occasionally saw people masked up in their front and backyards. I pointed this perversity to a cop once saying if I stood inside a private fence I did not have to wear one. He saw my point.
I lawfully have a self-declared mask exemption. However, I felt naked in supermarkets as I was the only one; and a checkout staff had TWO on! So my solution: I wear a WET cloth mask either below my nose or loosen it frequently. I got the idea of a wet mask from the divers. At least I am bringing in droplets, which are safer, than aerosols!
"..."n places where they were only mandated indoors, many seem to think that if they are good for indoor use, then they must be helpful outdoors too." Exactly!
Superstition. "If it worked before, why take any risk?" This is why knowledge is empowering; and why they are either suppressing or muddle it! They don't ask one basic question:
1. Why would govts need to force people, directly and via proxy, to take or do something if they can prove it is safe, effective, and necessary?
I live in a suburb where on one side is mainly SE Asians, and the other is mainly Arabs and non Asians. In Asian place, at least 80% wore masks outdoors even when they were walking away from the shopping strip. The OPPOSITE with the non-Asian town!
Early after the compulsion removed, I saw two women with two masks, a face shield and gloves working and walking outdoors. Recently I saw an Asian pensioner sitting on a fence waiting for her bus with TWO masks on. I've seen older men with a mask and a face shield. I saw the back of a stocky-looking guy with gloves and a mask walking outdoors! Glove-wearers are only a tiny minority.
Since they don't question something as tangible and as trivial as a mask, what is the chance of them understanding and questioning other measures?!
"They" played an excellent game by combining fear of health and ignorance, and propaganda!
Many Asian societies have long had the habit to wearing masks to combat flu and at least in Japan, hayfever. This was already well established custom when I first arrived in Japan in 1992. Yet, we have flu here just like everywhere else.
Were they more cleaner than the rest of us? One of my pet peeves is that people don't wash before they go outside. So when I happen to be near them, they stink! Exacerbated by cheap chemicals.
There you go - people just don't question about important stuff.
Dr Ryan Cole, of Ohio, repeatedly said: "there is no flu season; there is only a vitamin D deficiency season." That is why people who live in warm sunny places don't get fluey.
And your good doctor Frauci takes 7,000 IU of D3 every day. I believe him on that one.
On which foot, and for how long and how far?
Except it is tragedy; not a comedy.

I am not that fit....! What if I need to answer the calls of nature? What about eating and drinking? More details please.
What about how far?

Many are still doing things even though they are not told to, like masking outdoors.
True. But they were told to wear masks.

Look at the first pic; but don't stare.... ! :)

In Japan it is the opposite. I am the one without a mask. The QR code there is also bone chilling scary.
