I don't believe that there are as many as there saying who are vaxxed. I think it's just a ploy to make us think we are few

i used to hope that too...then i started having conversations with people. even the ones who held out have suddenly caved...and for the most preposterous reasons...like....yoga. as if you cant do yoga at home. no you are right....you should totally poison yourself for yoga. good job taking a strong stand.

AU person here. This has happened to my mother. She's still to have her 2nd jab though. But her reasoning is mainly to see my sister's kids (grandkids). My Mum doesn't go to the pub or anything! My sister denied her seeing them because Dictator Dan said she should do this (effectively: no mask, no jab, no grandkids!). What a cow. I have explained that once Dictator Dan in Victoria gets his bill passed, he'll really BE Dictator Dan with ridiculous amounts of power available at a whim. Then 2 jabs won't be enough. It'll be 'Pop 'Til You Drop' and anyone who refuses a booster will barely be allowed to buy food from the supermarket.

I've at least asked my Mum to consider waiting until his crazy bill goes through (or hopefully doesn't...) because there'll be no point in her having a 2nd jab if she plans to refuse the boosters (she says it'll be just these 2 jabs and that's it, and she's NOT happy about it). But my Mum, like anyone else in her predicament, will get maybe 4-6 months of 'normality' (if you call it that...) and then it'll be right back to square one again...but this time it'll be even worse. So it's 'hop on the Crazy Train' or get right off it. No in between...

I think people just realise the hopelessness of it all, so they're caving now because they don't want to see themselves living in a tent in the middle of nowhere, all alone, away from society. They'd rather die IN society and feel like they're part of it than be a social outcast. Me? I couldn't care less about society. It's all gone to pot, anyhow!

Melbourne here. Dan has gone full-blown psychotic and I hardly recognize this city anymore. Almost everyone around me is completely brainwashed and it is extremely disturbing. I couldn't care less about society, either. It has been on the skids for years. Never getting these jabs. I'm standing on a pretty lonely hill at the moment, but at least I know others like you are out there!

I'm just glad there was a great big protest today! We need more of them right now. But it's ridiculous that so many people need to protest, for weeks on end, so that the political wankers might listen. I guess we'll see what happens in another week or so with the pandemic bill....fingers crossed that bill does NOT pass...or you'll start to think what's happening now is really quite pleasant!! :-(

I was in Melbourne November to January and again for a month April to May. Most of the bad stuff has happened since. Mad Jacinda is about to run NZ into a 'traffic light' system. She looks scared tbh but doesn't deserve an ounce of sympathy. I was supposedly interviewed for a film on her about 5 months ago, doubt that such a film will see the light of day anymore.

I say supposedly because I've not heard from the filmmaker since.

At least the pot is legal in many US states, including some where the climate is amenable to living in a tent (West Coast.) ЁЯШП But yes, I agree that our societies seem to be stumbling down a path to oblivion. I'm not a believer, but there's that famous quote about the pathway that leads to destruction is broad and wide, and the gate is wide for the many who enter that way....

Hiya Dan, yep, we're all good. In fact we're selling our house and moving north to land we've already bought. We're taking 6-12 months off work and building a cool kit home. We have things to occupy us whilst everyone will be tearing their hair out next year! We kind of organised it this way in fact ;-) It's not quite 'escape' because we'll get back to work, but for now, it's our way of dealing with the insanity. And there are plenty of like-minded people up that way, some of whom I know! I've already got a dinner invite for when we move up there in 2 or so months!

You know, my Dad lives in California, but he's like my sister: totally pro-vax, all the way, baby! He and I don't get along much anymore. I fact, I'm hard pressed to find anything we DO agree on these days! He & his wife have thought about moving to Oregon. It's almost funny: you'd think about escaping Oregon and yet he'd think the State measures were just fine and dandy! People. Who needs them?! :-D

I work in outside sales, got the J&J early for тАЬone and doneтАЭ and because I thought it would help me get back to normal, visiting clients. Then I had a side effect so no boosters for me and no forced shots for anyone certainly not my kids!

At least I have figured out how to work remotely and made my numbers since we are not going back to office anymore.

Cardiac arrhythmia, they called it "lateral ischemia" and did a bunch of scans but could not find any blood clots anywhere. It went away on its own, fortunately, though I'm supposed to follow up regularly with a cardiologist. But it wasn't there before the shot, cleared up after, like an acute inflammation. It wasn't even found until three months after - I didn't even connect it to the shot at first, until I logged it through CDC vSafe, then I got a call from a helpful CDC rep who informed me it was NOT related. That's what got me thinking it might be connected...
